The property is a little walk on the opposite side of the river from the city centre. From the Latin Bridge, walk up the hill and up the bank. It is up hill to walk and the hotel is situated on a side street in a residential area. I had locals offer me help to find it and people were friendly.
I was able to check in early which was great and I briefly used the pool which was nice and warm before heading out again. The hotel is probably just 7/8 minutes walk across from the cable car.
The room and bathroom had a modern feel to them. The breakfast was a nice mix but I kept it light as I had to be off early.

There is so much history here. It really is situated at the crossroads of civilizations. So much excellent food and things to do, and the people are so friendly and helpful. This was our third visit - we can't wait to come back.

So much to see and do!
So much to see and do! The food is really good and very cheap by British standards. The BiH Museum was very good; the bit with the dinosaurs would excite a lot of children, I reckon. Ditto the cable car ride. Sarajevo is full of history, much of it tragic, but such a lovely place.

It was a good idea to take accomodation in the very center of the city. We also booked a guided tour, 3h long, which gave us an idea about the city and its main attractions. The city is an interesting mix of old and new, with marks of the (recent) conflicts and history but also lots of reconstruction going on. Be ready to see a lot of tourists from all over the world and many friendly shops. Take care though, to thiefs!

3 or 4 days is sufficient in Sarajevo. East meets West.
3 or 4 days is sufficient in Sarajevo. East meets West. The contrast between the brutality and destruction of the war 30 years ago coupled with a balance of peace, love, tolerance and harmony is an incredible mix of emotions.
The cable car ride to the top of the mountain provides spectacular views of the city.
For sports lovers visit both football stadiums. Even take in a match. It costs under a tenner.
The food is nearly always exceptionally well priced, in large portions and incredibly tasty. Most main courses between £6 and £12
If you are teetotal and want an alcohol-free beer, the options are a little restrictive although you can find a local beer and Erdinger for c£1.50. Both are extremely palatable. Expect to be questioned as to what is the point of beer without alcohol though !! This city likes to drink.
Once you have exhausted the city hire a car and visit Mostar and Neum.
The scenery is simply stunning.
Recommend kayaking on the Nevretti River.

Sarajevo city is a vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and resilience. Its charming old town, welcoming locals, and diverse cuisine make it a must-visit destination. The blend of Eastern and Western influences creates a unique atmosphere that captivates visitors, leaving them with unforgettable memories.
Mostar is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, renowned for its iconic Stari Most bridge that elegantly spans the Neretva River. The city's cobblestone streets, Ottoman architecture, and warm hospitality make it a picturesque and culturally rich destination. Exploring Mostar is like stepping back in time, where history comes alive at every turn, offering visitors a truly enchanting experience.
The location of the property is amazing on the mountains. The abandoned Bob sledge track and the cable car stations are like 10-15 mins walk from the hotel.
The best I would say about the hotel is about the person at reception Alma, she is so warm and welcoming. She helps with all your queries and requests instantly. The hotel has many outdoor activities, but we couldn’t use it because of the rain.
Also the breakfast was the best we had in our 10 days stay in Bosnia. also special mention to the restaurent staff.
The hotel is near Sarajevo City Center, very safe to walk in and out anytime of the day. The view is very nice from the room. We’ve had one of the best breakfast and the lady chef cooks the perfect eggs each and every time. Harun from Cafe Swiss was very nice and polite. Also when we checked out, Bakir assisted us and was very nice and accommodating. They clean our room everyday and we had the best stay in Sarajevo. We will surely stay on this hotel next time we come back to Bosnia.
The staff are great both at the reception and restaurant staff at breakfast. Almira at the restaurant made us feel at home. One of us was vegan and she went out of her way to accommodate us. She made us feel like guests at her house and insisted to feed us well! Thank you Almira! That was a great example of amazing Bosnian hospitality.
The hotel is relatively new and in good shape. It is clean and has very good sound proofing. We couldn’t hear any other guests around us.
Location amazing, staff kindly. Special great thanks to old man in reception(sorry forgot the name). I had more than 100 hotels in 25-30 countries but never meet like this staff, he is very kindly. Dear admin, please tell our greetings to him, we can’t meet with him when we check-out, and absolutely I’ll book this property when I will come back to Sarajevo. Thanks a lot!
I didn’t personally stay in this hotel, I booked it for my mom and she said everything was good.
I communicated with staff and have only positive experience. My mom doesn’t speak Bosnian and English, I informed hotel about it and they provided check in details that I shared with my mom lately. They also arrange transfer and picked her up from the airport.
There were private breakfasts with a private chef, just for me. A strong Bosnian breakfast for a long day. Breakfast is served in the basement, in the restaurant, but I had it more than once in the cafe, well served, chatting with people.
Very private parking free parking I like a lot.
Hotel position is minutes walk from Iliđa center.
Very friendly staff. Free parking. Clean room.
Beware that in Bosnia I experienced smoking in the buildings so you know. No problem för me. Hotel is near airport but little far away from centrum. Taxi 25-35 mints. I arrived late so no restaurant nearby at that time. Not hotel, s fault. Good coffee in the cafe in the hotel.
We liked the location you are short walk from all of the local amenities.
it is a very traditional Bosnian hotel which was lovely.
the breakfast was a lovely traditional breakfast with an assortment of breads, spreads, breakfast drinks with the added bonus of fried eggs, omelettes or scrambled eggs which was lovely!
A very nice experience, the place is elegant and luxurious, the view is beautiful, everything you need is available in the hotel apartments, you rate it Seven Star. Dealing with them is very nice and smooth. They were fine in dealing. I hope anyone who travels to Bosnia will try this hotel apartment. Thank you.
Located in the centre of old town, close to everything you want to see in Sarajevo. The design idea is nice, “old fashion” but Bosnian style inspired. We booked last minute which was a big plus. You have also a small kitchen, so you can have a coffee or anything in your room. Late check-out is also a plus.
It was the first booking experience. All amenities are available in the apartment. It's nice to be close to the city center. The owner is very involved. I think the best feature of the apartment is quiet. I was satisfied with all the service. If I come to Bosnia again, I would prefer this place.
Right in Stari Grad and near Bascarsija, this modern looking hotel with classic Bosnian decor was loved by my family. The best cevapi and burek/pita places are next to the hotel. Very comfortable room, beautiful bathroom, and a good (and needed) air conditioner.
Hotel is located 1 min on foot from the famous Sebilj Cesma. The serve superb Bosnian pitas as a part of their buffet breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I will definitely return when I visit Sarajevo again.
We booked this apartment for the end of December.
The host was very friendly (also speaks very good English).
The location is very close to the city center.
Covered parking (garage).
Very big apartment and comfy.
Rooms and public spaces were very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful with booking tours and restaurant recommendations. It’s also in a great location.
very neat and nice hotel. The room was clean and big enough to feel comfortable. Also the restaurant under the hotel offers good food, so it is worth booking a room with a breakfast included
Everything, 😍 The staff at the reception were very friendly & helpful, definitely will book here in my next visit 🙂..
Special thanks to the hotel staff for their hospitality.
i was charged more than offer in booking was.
as i made a mistake and made a reservation for one person (120€) they charged me more than 240 when we came to hotel...
