We made a last minute booking while travelling. As it was a Monday, the restaurant was closing early and although we’d noted it in the welcome email, Chris took the time to call us and make sure we knew so we could stop on the way. Appreciated that!
Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly. Room was super clean and comfy, exactly what we needed!

Good bar, restaurant and pool. Nicely decorated and the staff are all lovely. Bedrooms had tea and coffee available and were fairly spacious with a clean and well supplied bathroom. We watched the football in the back bar which is the type of local hotel lounge bar you don't see much anymore. It was ace.
Set in Newtonmore, Clune House B&B has 3 en-suite guest bedrooms. All have flat-screen TVs and a tea and coffee tray. Each room comes with ample wardrobe space and a desk.

Location and views were superb. Pods were absolutely clean and a little welcome pack was lovely. Even the room we stayed in the house was big with beautiful views. Indoor barbecue was fantastic. We took our family from India to Scotland and stayed with them at Tigh an Each. They were very impressed. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Stevie & Joan for being such kind hosts and for such a wonderful stay!
We will definitely recommend Tigh an Each to our friends and might plan another visit soon! 😀

Exactly as described, I was there solo but would have been even better value as a group of hill walkers.

Newtonmore is a small village with little to offer in the way of shops, etc. The speed limit in towne center is much too fast to afford safe pedestrian crossing of Main Street and the thru traffic is heavy for such a small town. The crown jewel of Newtonmore by far is the Balavil Hotel; the accommodations are warm and comfortable, the staff is top notch and the food is superb.

Well appointed hotel complex.
Well appointed hotel complex. Our room was in the Annexe and very well furnished for short stay visitors. Very clean and fresh. Garden and surrounding areas well maintained and seating areas provided should the weather be favourable.
We opted to eat in the hotel for Dinner and were not disappointed. Service was first class and food standards were excellent.
Areas arund Newtonmore very accessible from the A9 and east through Kincraig to Aviemore was pictuesque. Lots to see and do, very vibrant area within 15 mile radius.
Avoid coming through Perth as road Duelling on A9 is causing significant delays. approach from the south easier through Crieff and join A9 at Dunkeld- free run from there.

Newtonmore is an excellent base for a stay in the highlands.
Newtonmore is an excellent base for a stay in the highlands. Without the business of Aviemore easy access to the Highland Wildlife Park and Highland Folk Museum and if you feel the need for something to do that all ages can take part in there's the Wildcat Walking Tour. A selection of eating places but if fast food is your thing maybe not for you.

Lovely village to stay in for touring this area of Scotland.
Lovely village to stay in for touring this area of Scotland. Golf course and beautiful river side walks. Easy access to A9 for travelling further afield. The Glen Pub at the edge of the village is a must - very friendly welcome and service and stunning food. Co-op in the village for those needing groceries etc. on a self-catering holiday. If you stay in this area I recommend a visit to a fantastic coffee shop in Kincraig called The Post Office Cafe Gallery.
The views were absolutely amazing. The location is fabulous - close to so much and yet feels like it's away from everything. The most comfortable night we had in our entire trip. Owner was friendly and helpful. Kids loved the animals too and didn't want to leave. At the end of our week long trip which included the adventure park nearby, beaches and river swimming the kids have declared the Shepherd's Hut to be the highlight.
Location and views were amazing. Accommodation was very clean, beds comfortable. Kids loved the farm animals. Host was friendly and welcoming. Lovely little place and would return in a heartbeat. We'd usually stay in a hotel so it was a little out our comfort zone but so glad we did it. Also the village has a 'Wild cat trail' which the kids loved. Would highly recommend to others :-)
Fantastic location....beautiful area with lots of walks, hills, beaches, waterfalls, and outdoor activities nearby. 10 minutes to Newtonmore, 25 to Aviemore for easy access to shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Lovely cottage, has everything you need - 2 minutes from the A9 but very quiet with a fenced rear patio looking out onto a grass area and pond. Very dog friendly.
The hotel was located right in the city with reachability to main points, cafes, restaurants. It is located in the Cairngorns National park which means you're close to a lot of attractions. It is clean and tidy while being also small and cozy. We loved our beds and we had a very good nice sleep.
The B&B is owned by two wonderful people, Lynda and Eric! their home is very inviting and homey. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was big and the bed super comfortable. The location right outside Newtonmore is great! We will most definitely be back!!
Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also very convenient to the train station and restaurants and hiking in and around Newtonmore. We loved our stay!
Breakfast was excellent - good choice available very nicely cooked. Great coffee. Easy to find and well located in Cairngorms. Room comfortable. Very short walk to the Balavil Hotel for supper. Nice welcome tea and cake.
I liked the fact that it was dog friendly at no extra cost. I also loved the Breakfast, absolutely delicious! It was a very comfy bed and great idea having a bath robe for use of external bathroom.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was good size and clean with comfortable bed. Tea/Coffee facility’s. Sink in room. Bar downstairs. Free to park on road infront of hotel. Near shops/cafes.
Beautiful location. Lovely conservatory with comfy couches. Wonderful hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast. Great setting for a getaway. Found a marker nearby saying it was the Centre of Scotland!
The location is very good to walk into Newtonmore. The whole property was spotless. The staff were very friendly & the breakfast was superb. We have recommended this property to friends & family.
This hotel was very well maintained with plenty of car parking available. We did not eat at the hotel so unable to comment but the hotel is well worth a visit and we will stay again.
Definitely glad we stayed here instead of big hotel. It had a personal and homely feel at the same time it was very clean like a hotel. Marion and Graeme are excellent hosts.
Beautiful b and b. So much thought went into every detail. Decor, food, all top notch. Walking distance to grocery and pubs. Professional, warm, courteous hosts.
Moira was the most amazing host. Breakfast was superb and best coffee so far in Scotland. The bath was the best for soaking after a long hike up Ben MacDui.
The room and bathroom are huge. It's a rather big hotel. Check in smooth and easy, everything was clean and inviting. Suited us perfectly for our needs.
