Lively Gateway to Western Algarve
The 2nd-largest city in the Portugal region of Algarve after Faro, Portimão is best known for its beach resorts, sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and ochre cliffs. It offers a variety of shopping malls, restaurants, discos and bars. Don’t miss the fresh grilled sardines, a typical local dish.

The location for the race circuit was perfect.
The location for the race circuit was perfect. Nice neighborhood and fairly quiet. Be careful of stray dogs or dogs in other properties if walking around. Security of the gates is good, however the windows (most) don't lock. The kitchen utensils are basic and the kitchen itself. The shower heads are loose and hard to control. Lighting outside wasn't working and bbq was basic. There is a bus stop at the end of the road about 200 mtrs.

The beach was great and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. There is a bus from the beach area to the central square but then you have to walk a short way to the train station. Having a train from the beach to the train station would be excellent.

As a golfer this is the perfect spot.
As a golfer this is the perfect spot. Many many quality options with 20-30 minutes. I still think it's the best location when traveling with a family. The beach is awesome and the food choices are excellent. Great access to sea tours and water taxi to Ferragudo from the marina. There's so much to do. Nice little town to walk around, beautiful promenade along the River Arade. Options of long walks along the beaches. Some places require maintenance. Easy access launderettes for long stays and lots of apartments too.

Great location of the resort. Too far from the malls and other destinations that we would've want to visit. We ate at the the restaurant at the resort and also in town. Also the restaurants on the beach.

The hotel was spotlessly with really comfortable rooms with plenty of space. The bar was open till 12 which we found great for a night cap after strolling back from a meal just down the road. The location is amazing with some of the best view points and beaches just outside of the hotel and only a short walk from the bars and restaurants. Also we found close a great meat "all you can eat" restaurant from Brazil, Fogo Do Chão which was incrediable delicious and cheap. Our best vacations so far.
