Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
This hotel was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The staff are absolutely amazing, hotel facilities are really good, it is very easily accessible.
I stayed for my anniversary and the hotel staff did everything they can to make it special for me and my wife, upgrading our room, giving us private access to the spa and organising a surprise in the room. A special thanks to Beatriz and Bruno for accommodating all my requests and making the amazing experience far more exciting.
The location was really beautiful and in my opinion one of the nicest parts of Portugal. I have visited Portugal numerous times and this hotel and its location were just exceptional. The breakfast was outstanding with beautiful views of the sea and cliff faces. I felt extremely lucky to stay in such a lovely place. The staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were catered for. I am very much looking forward to returning to this wonderful hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Breakfast was a buffet and had an excellent selection of items.
We especially liked having a balcony overlooking the town, restaurants and beach . So comfortable to sit outside and
watch the world go by. Parking at the hotel was very convenient and so happy that they had parking spaces available while we were there. Just a minute walk to the beach. Great location overall for visiting the Algarve.
Location was the best part about this place, steps from the beach and right in the town centre with nearby boardwalk, sights and the most beautiful sunsets right from the terrace. The place itself is a bit dated but had everything we needed for our stay and is very spacious. Host were very accommodating, we even extended our stay because we didn't want to leave. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our family vacation in the algarve!
The room was spacious and airy. the air conditioning was not too loud. There was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tea/coffee was provided and water was left in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. My room had a balcony which led out to the pool but was still private. The hotel is situated within 2 minutes walk off the main centre but far enough away to avoid night time noise. The TV was a lovely addition.
Excellent location and the hotel was very clean. Staff friendly and always with a smile. Breakfast was excellent even though the choice wasn't huge there was something for everyone.
We rented a car and the hotel has plenty of parking so you never had to worry.
Nice cocktails by the pool. Its a very quiet relaxing hotel absolutely perfect for couples
Overall an excellent stay.
We loved our stay at Os Reias. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and in an ideal location. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We plan to go back for a longer stay next year. We wish we could live there. Our host, Ana, was responsive and helpful. She gave us clear directions/entry instructions and lots of great recommendations.
The property is in a very pleasant neighborhood and only a few minutes drive from Carvoeiro. Well kept, modern residences of a very good standard. Friendly and helpful management who were very good about resolving an issue when one room became unavailable. We will definitely visit again.
The location is the biggest plus point. It’s bang next to the beach. Many rooms face the beach. It’s also next to the main town square so my bus literally dropped me in front of the hotel. I also loved the maps and information about the explorers from Portugal, all dotted around the hotel
Loved everything about this villa. It was like staying in 5 star boutique hotel. Location great, 10 minute walk to centre and beach. Kitchen had everything you need and more. The most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Pool amazing with so much space. Would highly recommend this villa!
THE HOST PATRICIA made everything easy. The FOOD for breakfast WAS SO GREAT ... THE POOL WAS SO CLEAN AND perfect and IT IS AN EASY ENJOYABLE walk to town, to the beach and to the boardwalk! BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE for accommodation in PORTUGAL YOU MUST STAY HERE!!
A spacious villa for 8 with a pool table, table tennis and pool. Great location, 15 minute walk to Carvoeiro beach and centre. Loads of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Stayed very cool in the villa in April.
The apartment is very well equipped with everything one would need to create a perfect home away from home. Spotlessly CLEAN, very cozy, yet spacious.
The outdoor space is an absolute Oasis.
Absolutely stunning position in a lovely little town that I wish so many people didn’t know about! Sitting on our terrace watching the sea will be a memory we will cherish for a long time.
Great place to stay in Carvoeiro, staff, facilities, food, all excellent! A car or other means of transport is needed as it is a 25-30min walk from the centre of Carvoeiro.
Carvoeiro is one of our favorite towns in the Algarve. We were looking forward to staying at Villa Lourenco. Unfortunately, Villa Lourenco was a disaster.
