The nicest thing about this property is the hotel restaurant, which is open air with a lovely view of the ocean. Also enjoyed the great food there.
We also appreciated that there was a staff member present at 5.30am (despite reception not opening until 6.30am) to make sure we caught our taxi to the airport.
Situated in Papeete, 500 metres from Plage Hokule'a and 500 metres from Paofai Gardens, "Hanikea" Quiet & Pool Home offers an open-air bath and air conditioning.

It was a fabulously central location but nice and quiet situation. Lovely amenities in the house and the hosts couldn’t do enough for you
Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Fare D'hôtes Tutehau is situated in the Farii piti neighborhood. It is 15 minutes' walk from the heart of Papeete.

Martine is an amazing host making us extremely welcome and comfortable. The facilities exceeded expectations. Superbly clean, with anything you could want. Food was fabulous, especially the tuna tartar

Convenient location. Clean and tidy apartment. Well equipped
N'JOK Papeete, a property with a terrace, is situated in Papeete, 3.2 km from Paofai Gardens, 15 km from Museum of Tahiti, as well as 15 km from Point Venus.
This is a functioning port city. There are a few places where you can sit by the sea and watch the ships and boats but mainly facilities are across the very busy road.
People enjoy the large market but the town itself is hot, busy and dirty. At night there are many rough sleepers.
This is not a pretty colonial style town. The best bet is to take a ferry to the islands asap.

The town of Papeete is very nice and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Had it not been for our unacceptable accommodations, we would have loved our stay in Papeete. If you go, be sure to stay at a reputable hotel and avoid private Air B&B places. We ended up staying at a dump and no hotel rooms were available because of a cruise that was leaving the next day.

Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay.
Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.
I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks
I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey.
I would avoid staying out in the suburbs and ensure to have an offline currency converter handy as there were times i got caught off guard and ended paying double the amount I intended.

Little to do in the city aside from shopping.
Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. There are no beaches walkable from the city centre, so you're left needing to find a tour, a public bus (not on sundays though), or renting a car/scooter.
Excellent location for our needs! Three blocks from cruise/ferry dock, grocery store 1.5 blocks away, Papeete market six blocks away, perfect!
The studio was outfitted with everything you need in the kitchen, gorgeous pool on the top of the building however there are no chairs so it’s just the pool. Wonderful view from the pool area however.
We were met and picked up at the airport by Carlos who was a delight, he showed us a few things as we went between airport and the apartment and he was a definite highlight.
Leili Home is a very comfortable and well located apartment perfect for a short or long stay in Papeete. It had everything we needed, was tastefully furnished, well appointed and so close to restaurants, the supermarket and an easy walk into the main part of town. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive and for a small fee even drove us to the airport for our late night flight. Best of all the apartment was exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
The room was adequately sized for two people with plenty of storage space. The toilet and shower rooms were adjacent. It was refreshing to be able to take a dip in the small pool nearby. There were food shops in the area and the address was easy to reach from the centre or the airport ( take bus number 2 which runs from 5am to 5pm. Every 20 minutes in the morning and evening and 30 minutes in the afternoon). Get off at the easy market stop (everyone knows it..).
More than anything, the hosts Jackie and Joy were wonderful! Jackie stayed in constant communication to insure I found the apt and Joy was incredibly accommodating, even providing a transfer to the airport at an ungodly hour.
This is a spotless apt, has everything you need, and in a great location. However, it is basic accommodations. It’s not a five star hotel. It was perfect for my needs, but if you’re hoping for a resort with a pool, this is not for you.
We arrived after dark and were delighted to awake and see the beach right out our window. The rooms were amazing (big, comfortable, with an incredible view). The beach was within walking distance. You can't walk out to all beaches in Tahiti, so this was a real plus. The pool was beautiful and conveniently located. The food was delicious. Overall, this was a perfect choice and far enough from downtown that you felt the natural vibe.
Wonderful hotel! Very friendly, helpful staff. Hotel is modern and immaculate.
Surfhouse Restaurant upstairs offers amazing views of the harbor!
Had an 11:30p.m. flight on checkout day, hotel has a lounge with showers, coffee etc on offer to checked out guests until their trip ti airport. Unlimited excess all day at no charge and held our luggage as well! Absolutely a deal maker when having to wait 10 hours for flight. Loved it!
Good Hotel for those staying in Papeete for transfer.Room was small , but clean and comfortable, excellent AC.Beni and staff very cheerful and helpful.Breakfast was basic , but very good to get started for the day.Location was close enough to downtown to walk but away from the noise and crowds.Excellent value for Tahiti...Would stay again!
Just what I expected, clean and great facilities. Bonus: Carrefour supermarket is a few steps away from the hotel, which is a great alternative to avoid paying overpriced meals and drinks. Beautiful views of Moorea, all rooms have a balcony. Walking downtown Papeete is 25min, else use taxis.
Being walking distance from downtown Papeete meant we had our choice of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It made exploring the city very easy.
The rooftop pool was a nice bonus.
Check in was autonomous and easy with all the information being emailed through well ahead of our arrival.
While the economy rooms are very small , as long as you are organized, it can save you alot of $$ plus have the same mattress and pillows as the more expensive rooms. Great budget option in the middle of Papeete across from the ferry terminal Roof top bar was amazing
The staff went above and beyond to help me try to book something for my very short stay in Tahiti. Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had, shout out to Google translate and the girl who works the early morning shift. She was what made my stay so great.
Location was good, close to market, main bus stop, ferry to Moorea. Owner (Ethelle) and staff were super nice and helpful. It was great to have a driver available when needed for a reasonable price. Pool was nice, it can be pretty hot in Papeete.
The hotel was accessible from the Ferry and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Papeete market is also within walking distance for all your souvenir needs. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Perfect stop off in Papeete. Lovely breakfast with great views over the sea. Huge room, friendly staff. Quiet and a little out of town but on a bus route with frequent buses. Food Trucks very close.
Very good location if you stay in the city for a few days and then take the ferry (across the street).
Rooms are large and comfortable. Restaurant and bar on top of the hotel is nice.
The location is great for tourist areas of Papeete. The property is well equipped and comfortable. The owner is most helpful is all respects. The airport pickup is very welcome.
Fantastic location and property. The owner was very helpful and arranged airport transfers for us. Pool was lovely. Great place to spend a few nights exploring Papeete
Hotel is well located and quaint. Provides many areas for comfortable outside seating. There is a free shuttle provided to the airport or ferry terminal.
