My stay was regrettably too short; I truly wish I could have extended it. Port Elizabeth is vastly underrated, offering an abundance of activities. I yearned for a longer holiday, ideally spanning five days! The city is breathtaking, with its friendly people, pristine cleanliness, and refreshing ambiance.

The area I stayed at in Summerstrand was very beautiful and quiet. It’s clean and close to the beaches. Overall, I found PE to be relatively laid back. A cosy city for a traveller needing some peace and quiet.

Professional yet warm and friendly hosts that made us feel comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the facilities are exactly what we wanted. Much attention to safety and environmental aspects that provide a sense of security and serenity. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Tommy and Leonie ❤️

Port Elizabeth is a beautiful coastal city with miles of beaches and is true to its nickname the Friendly City. The older parts in Central have stunning views and buildings but unfortunetaly the local government has allowed it to become neglected, uncared for and in some places dangerous. What a pity, as the old centre with its harbour views and gracious historical buildings should be the gem of the city. That said, there are still other places worth a visit as property owners in the central area really make an effort to keep their properties well maintained and in the spirit of what it used to be. There are many restaurants and my favourites are the local ones, each with their own vibe and unique menus. I just love Port Elizabeth.

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place as largish cities go. It has great beaches though you need to be prepared for windy weather that can reduce the fun of being on a beach. There is a lot of history, with interesting sites to visit. Also some great food options. It is not the country’s top tourist hot spot but has plenty of attractions that are in any case better enjoyed without a massive crowd.

This was the best stay in Port Elizabeth - very beautiful small hotel, minutes away from the water. Everybody was so welcoming and they offered help for everything. Just an amazing staff in a perfect hotel. They made my stay so comfort My room was bright and spacious, with a separated seating area and a modern bathroom with a rain shower and free standing tub. And I must say… the attention to detail of the staff and their kindness were amazing. I didn’t want to leave and I would definitely come again!

Perhaps a bit far from the beach in Humewood (3.3 km), but close to the bus station and the center of Port Elizabeth. Moreover, in a quiet residential area next to historic Fort Frederick overlooking the harbour. Spacious hotel with verandas and common rooms where you can work or relax. Good facilities such as the hot showers and WiFi. The kitchens are functional. The hotel is well secured. The place is kept clean. Friendly staff.

What a wonderful treat this place was! My son and I have been touring South Africa for two months and this was the last stop before flying back to Johannesburg. This hotel is perfectly located between the airport, the beach, and an easy Uber into town for dinner. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The patio and pool are a delight. The owner was so incredibly nice.

It was convenient to all we wanted to do in Port Elizabeth yet not in center of city. Close to airport. Lovely staff who were great communicators. Owner arranged an excellent tour of Addo Elephant Park. The center court yard is very private and nicely planted. Great breakfast. Security excellent. Comfy beds. Liked a microwave and mini fridge.

Rented a whole house with two bedrooms and lounge and kitchen. Shared separate bathroom (not en suite) with a separate extra loo. Very clean and a good area in Port Elizabeth. safe parking on site as well. Definitely a good choice for families with kids as well - there are double bunks off of the lounge area that expands the sleeping options.

Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Leonie and her staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Lemon Tree Lane, and will stay there again when I next travel to Port Elizabeth.
