How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The stairs are steep and getting to the second floor was a daily workout, but our room was large, well furnished and very clean
The "Koophandel" is directly on one of the best squares in Delft, so that you step out of the hotel into the centre of a great square full of restaurants amd bars. The location is second to none.

Our room is at the 2nd floor with large windows facing the market square. We love it. Restaurants and cafes are around the square that make it super easy to feed the stomach and thirsty. We had no problem to sleep even though the square was full of hungry people. The windows are pretty good to keep the noise staying outside. The breakfast is simple which is fine for us as we are light breakfast takers. The room is spacious enough and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. The location is great and a few minutes walk to zuidpoort garage. Ice cream store just around the corner perfect for after the dinner. Staff are friendly. We're happy to stay in this stylish hotel and will come back next time.

No where to hang towels in the shower room. Card machine appeared not to work but two extra payments went through which had to be sorted out later.
Comfortable room. Staff provided a fan as it was a hot day Very convenient location on lovely square full of cafes and restaurants. Plenty of breakfast choices

No fridge which makes keeping fresh milk difficult and no hooks to hang damp towels but these were minor observations.
Great location adjacent to restaurants and a short walk from the city square. Comfortable room with a brand new bathroom. Great stay and highly recommended.

Nothing to complain about.
Superb location near the center of town; my room overlooked a beautiful tree-shaded square filled with cafes. Delicious breakfast. All of the staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming and eager to help. They went out of their way to help me make sure a shop owner would be open so I could return the day after my stay to see some items I was interested in.

Nice location by the square with many restaurants. Really beautiful and spacious room. Good breakfast buffé with warm bread. Friendly & helpful personell.

The view onto the town square gave a special feeling to our stay, as well as the lovely Vermeer decorations on the walls. Lovely service, great experience.

Everything excellent. Only bit of a concern no lift and third floor stairs a bit difficult to reach. Porter carried our bags up so just a minor concern. Excellent breakfast.

Stairs are steep. On summer nights there might be noise from the outdoor dinners. Not a problem for us but might be for some.
We had a top floor room overlooking a lively square with outdoor restaurant seating. The location is fantastic. Close to restaurants and the old town sites. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was the same here like many of the hotels in the Netherlands' smaller cities: no elevator. However, the lady from personnel helped me to take it upstairs (again, I was sick). Also the breakfast could improve with more warm options.
It was perfectly located in the heart of the city, with many restaurants and supermarket options close by. The interior of the hotel gave a nice Dutch vibe. And the personnel were super friendly. I arrived there while I was sick and the lady was very helpful and offered paracetamol and extra tea to me.

Lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Location was excellent. Easy walk to train station and all the sights. Many nice restaurants near. Staff were lovely. Delft is quite pretty and easy to walk.
