This a fabulous and luxurious hotel in an ideal location and only a short walk or taxi ride to key areas. The staff were always courteous and friendly. Our room was a great size with lovely facilities. A lovely breakfast was available and complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening. Highly recommend.

The property was very cleaned. I like that the toilet is separated from the bathroom so you could use both at the same time. I like that if you don't request for housekeeping, they'll give you new sets of complete toiletries and leave them by your door. I love everything!!

Having to walk fairly long distances to get to various places. Fortunately the taxis in Kyoto are relatively cheap.

Clean modern hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Good restaurants nearby (but make sure to reserve ahead of time. Some restaurants are not particularly friendly with tourists.)

No complaints as it was amazing but the rooms are so dark! It added to the ambience but it made getting ready difficult.

Beautiful room! Spacious rooms and comfy beds. Definitely feels right for Kyoto. Friendly, helpful staff & reasonable location close to Nijo castle.

The hotel has very tastefully decorated. Located in a street off the main busy thoroughfare, the hotel is calm and quiet but close to public transportation.

The room was authentic and very comfortable. There is an exhange machine at the recepion. Location is great and well connected by bus and other public transport. All staff were very friendly.

Brilliant hotel. Was in the quieter part of town however, only a short taxi ride away. Their decor was amazing and the free drinks in the bar until 10pm was a lovely touch and unexpected. There is a boulangerie around the corner where we went around the corner was great for breakfast.

Excellent hotel in a great location for exploring Kyoto. Within a small walk you can reach the citybus / subway lines. Comfy, clean, off the busy path - what more can you ask for!

No proper shutters so the room was a bit too bright early in the morning. It's a bit far from Gion and the main bars for the evening, but easily reachable and quickest with taxis

Location location and location, while the facilities are great and nothing to complain about, this hotels main advantage and selling point is its proximity to local attractions. Lovely boutique hotel with nice staff and best location. I like the way it's tucked into the side street, like it's hidden away.

The location was a bit far away from the station so we had to uber quite often, and the window looked out into other units. The lighting made it a bit difficult to put on make up.

This was my favorite hotel that I stayed during my trip in Japan! The room were really cutely decorated in Japanese style, the amenities were high quality, the building was really new, you could also grab free drinks and sake downstairs, and the staff was really kind. Would stay again here in a heart beat!

Location was excellent — on a quiet side street and less than five minutes walk to subway. Lots of restaurants and close to Nijo Castle. Hotel was clean and beautiful with nice aesthetics. Rooms are well-proportioned. Excellent value.

nothing to mention here! in our opinion the daily cleaning of rooms and changing of bed sheets is in general unnecessary and not environmental friendly, but we have made use of the "no clean needed" sign.

the size and interior of the room was really nice, we enjoyed most that we could open the window for some fresh air and that there were a lot of light options to change the atmosphere in the room. We also liked the design of the sink being in the room, but splitting the bath and bedroom area. & free drink and sake was amazing too! :)
