Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MaltaThe only thing that I felt we lacked was some quilts, as even though it's not winter, at night it gets really fresh and can be cold. Maybe get some bigger towels as well.
The location is perfect, very good connection to buses and it was like 4 min walk to the metro station so everything was super close and easy to access. The building and the flat are in well condition, full of amenities and facilities! It was really clean and the host was super gentle and left some chocolates and beers for us when we arrived. The place was super clean as well and had really good vibes!

New ZealandThere was no air conditioning but they provided plenty of fans so it wasn't too hot. No other negatives that I can think of.
Great place, the photos didn't do it justice. Although we didn't meet our host they were super helpful and gave clear instructions with photos on how to find the apartment & keys. The apartment was quite big & to our relief the building had an elevator. The kitchen was so well equipped with extras like salt & oil though unfortunately it didn't have a microwave but as it was a gas stove & full oven it was still quite easy to reheat food. It was only a few minutes walk to both metro & buses and an easy trip in to the center, there's quite a few local restaurants and supermarkets.

ChinaIt would be better if there is a water-absorbent shoe mat in the bedroom. Then the floor can stay dry when someone gets out of the shower.
The apartment is clean and tidy, the living room is large and the kitchen is well equipped with appliances including a fridge, oven, cooktop and kettle. The heating is very warm. The landlord is a very friendly and patient man! On our first day in Rome he came to the apartment when we couldn't reach him by phone due to my reason, gave us the keys and helped us carry our suitcase upstairs. He also gave us chocolates as a gift! Thank you so much! ^ ^ The apartment is close to metro stations and there is a large supermarket and many restaurants nearby. The Colosseum is less than 2 km from the apartment, so it is easy to reach on foot. One of the main reasons I liked this apartment so much was the patience and kindness of the landlord. We had to drive early the next day to Florence, so we couldn't pay the city tax in person to the landlord. But the landlord told us not to worry about this and we could pay after having come back to Rome (we were still living in the apartment when we returned). After the trip in Italy, we asked him for the hotel bill and he was very patient in answering all our questions and delivered the needed bill in time. It was a very good trip in Rome and I would say a kind landlord will make the trips easier! Thank you very much, dear landlord! Hope to see you again!

SwedenApartment could get a little bit more love: some soap, hand towels, sufficient toilet paper, a bottle of water etc Good for a few days to sleep. But not an apartment to spend any more time in, especially since one of beds in kitchen.
Very quiet. Silent street and great windows, no outside noise at all so slept very well. Good value, good for a few nights.

BulgariaThe location was great,near to metro station, coffee shops and supermarket. It's enough for 4 or 5 person.
The place is fine for a short term stay and although is new apartment, already need some renovation and some more furniture,especially in the small single bedroom. Also there were no small towels for hands and at some points was cold,since the central heating works hourly not at the whole time. .
