Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Italy- The host was amazing, so kind and helpful with everything, such a nice person, all the staff was so friendly - the room is amazing, clean, spacious, the bathroom is clean, you get a balcony and a patio all for yourself - the villa is only 10 minutes from the port, so it's easy to carry your baggage; very close to the beach as well - breakfast is good, there are a lot of different options

ItalyOne thing to know is that the bathroom is downstairs but this didn’t bother us at all.
We loved our stay at Villas Ganjor! The location was good, near to some really good warungs and quiet at night, the bungalow was lovely, the breakfast super good! The owner and her daughter very lovely people that will help you if you need anything. Definitely recommend!

NetherlandsEverything was perfect!
This place is absolute fantastic! The huts are great and have everything you need, including wifi (which is working very well even for work calls) and airconditioning. In addition to this the location is close to everything (it’s a small island but still) and the breakfast each morning is really good. The people there are really kind and take good care of you and your needs.

New ZealandUnfortunately, because the house is made out of bamboo, the AC doesn’t work that well as the cold air escapes. The bathroom is downstairs so a bit inconvenient in the night but not a biggie. No fruit with breakfast but you can pick it as a breakfast option.
There is an AC as well as a fan. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location was good as it was close to good restaurants, a bike hire place and not far from the beach. The owner is so lovely and willing to help with anything and everything - breakfast was great also!

The staff were really friendly and helped us out massively, we got bikes cheaper from next door because of the relationship between hosts and their neighbours. Very good aircon, and very peaceful at night and during the day

United KingdomWater pressure for shower a bit marginal.
An excellent stay, would certainly do so again. Just three traditional style huts, bedroom upstairs and shower/wc down - fine for us, but a consideration for some. Gentle AC and fan too. Comfortable bed, charming hostess, it's a family business. Several excellent warungs within 100m, we ate well (and economically) there. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms cleaned every three days. About a six minute walk to the beach for us, but we walk slowly! Easy to find, good value for the money.

United KingdomThe bamboo hut that we had lacked lights as bulbs have not been replaced, the shower head needs replaced as lack of pressure and finally aircon during the day is not great the room really heats up the room.
The location was close to all the best local food restaurants and close to beach. It was nice to live in natural local bamboo hut. Nice breakfast and staff are fantastic.

GermanyNothing, but inside the island the water is salty.
It has 2 stories and on the second floor there’s 2 balconies. I really like the house so I extended my stay 2 weeks more. The host lady is really kind and knows all about private spaces. To the east beach it is 5 minutes walk. Where you reach to the beautiful coral reef near seri resort.

GermanySaltwater shower due to no rain (we bought a gallon next door to rinse for 20k) A/C could have been more powerful but was fine at night
Feels like being in your own little house, very spacious because of the two different floors! Breakfast was good, owner very friendly, we really liked it! The Warung Licung Bamboo about 50m far is an absolute gem, check it out!

SingaporeWater can be slightly salty as pointed out by other reviewers but this is normal / common on the island. You get used to it after a while.
Service and the friendliness of our host, 'call me HUUUUL' is incredible. The rooms are very spacious with an open air living area and semi open washroom shower and toilet on the ground floor (only in one of three rooms. In the other rooms the washrooms are fully closed). Upstairs you got a semi open area with a sink and then your enclosed bedroom with aircon and fan. In the extreme day heat at this time (October) the aircon was a bit weak, but in combination with the fan sufficient, but at night it cools down and can get really cold in early morning if you don't set it properly. Everything was spotless clean and the garden beautifully well kept. We stayed 7 nights and HUL served everyday a tasty breakfast (we love her omelette) with freshly brewed Lombok coffee which was even included in the room price. She also offered us mango and boiled bananas on occasions. She always offered to exchange towels, provided us beach towels, cleaned the room inbetween and great laundry service for a small fee was available too. The laundry smells like heaven. You are not located at the beach but strategically in the heart of the island from where you can reach all coasts (North coast beach was our favourite) within 10 min walking distance. Hul had great food recommendations. Our favourite Warung was just next door 'Pak Man', go for local dishes. We had an incredibly relaxing week staying at Villas Ganjor. Highly recommend to book early in advance as this place is popular and always fully booked. Definitely value for money.

AustraliaOnly issue was the lack of set of drawers for clothes.
The friendliness of the family; Huliyati (Hula) in particular, was the most gracious of hosts. Her breakfasts were pretty good also. The location in the centre of the island gave it a very quiet vibe but still less than 5 minutes walk to the east beach. Very late night music from Gili T not the problem here that I'd imagine it could be if staying on the west side of Gili M. Nearby warungs were excellent, Licung Bamboo Warung and Jizzy Warung were inexpensive and good. Note: all restaurants seem to assume tourists don't/ can't tolerate spicy food. Just ask & they happily supply authentically spiced food.
