Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was stocked with only one roll of toilet paper - and not a whole roll at that. For the price, wouldn't expect to have to head out to the shops in a hurry to buy our own loo roll. I'm sure it's just an oversight when cleaning and restocking the cottage, but it's important to make sure there's enough loo roll for guests, especially as the owners were off site at times so couldn't help us out. Some shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms would also be nice, but less unusual to have to bring your own compared to loo roll. The pool was a little bit dirty, nothing major, but could have been cleaner, I think just because we went in at the end of the day so some debris and a few bugs had ended up in there. I would avoid this cottage if you're over 5ft8 - mum and I were fine, but there were lots of low beams a couple of inches above my head (I'm 5ft6), the ceilings in the two doubles on the mezzanine floor are very low, I had to stoop a bit myself, and my face was even an inch or two from the ceiling when I was stood in the shower. If you're tall, you'll spend a lot of time bent double and you risk hitting your head!
Great location, cottage was very clean and it worked well for us, instructions to get there were helpful, kitchen was well equipped and nice to have option to sit inside or outside, it's set in beautiful countryside, and we enjoyed the pool!

United KingdomNot criticism in any way (we loved our stay and would whole heartedly recommend to others! The buildings are converted brilliantly and changes might not be possible but..) the downstairs bedroom door in The Dairy could do with a look at/sand down- it's impossible to close quietly/ fully after getting a child to sleep. Also the ceiling in the bathroom is quite low, no drama, but there is a corner jutting out over the bath that a half asleep man might not see.. you'll need a few laps to the car as the car park isn't outside the door. Wish the pool could have been accessible but we understand off season it'd cost a fortune.
Gorgeous accommodation, quirky in the rafters bedrooms! Great kitchen, washing machine available, enough playground equipment to keep our 4 year old occupied (no mean feat!) and the cutest animals! We adored the donkeys, pigs, cheeky goats! Exceptional communication from the owner, thank you! We could have been helped out with name labels on the fences though, we didn't know the name of every sheep. The video showing us to our door was fantastic!! Great idea.

United KingdomThe laundry facilities! had to pay extra to use them and neither washing machine or tumble drier worked well. For the price of the stay, there should have been at least a washing machine in the cottage.
Lovely location and play areas for the children. Animals friendly, use of swimming pool good. Our host was wonderful, friendly helpful and welcoming

United KingdomFab location to get away from city life and really experience that country life. Tom was friendly and very responsive and helpful! Clean and comfortable cottages with a cute open fire. Lots of outdoor seating and BBQ. Lots of places to explore in the area, village was gorgeous! But can easily spend the whole day on the farm!

United KingdomNothing not to like
The location was amazing with so much freedom for the children, they didn't want to leave. The farm is only about 6 miles from The Cotswold Wildlife Country Park, a brilliant day out.

Fabulous place to stay with the family everything you need in the kitchen if you need to cook or pop out for a takeaway. Loved the little Attic rooms and would definitely stay again. Arrived in the dark so couldn't actually find our room so we had to phone Tom who phoned his father in law to take us to our room which all added to the fun. Would like to thank him as we arrived late because of a road closure.
