How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Reception was manned from 9am to 9pm so easy to get access to our room. We could also leave the bags there which was great.

A bit noisy outside.. but not the property's fault
Lovely little apartment.. little kitchenette with everything you need, good sized shower.. comfy bed.. complimentary snacks and drinks on arrival. Friendly receptionist..Good location would definitely stay again

Banging our heads on the cupboard above the sink in the kitchen and the tap in the bathroom stuck out so far it was difficult to use it for washing your face.

It was a bit noisy with the pup Next Door but we were so tired. We didn’t really hear it that much.
Someone messaged that at 9 o’clock and we dropped her bags off and came back in the afternoon and when we left there, was someone there as well very good

They had an extra duvet but not a regular blanket for the person sleeping in the sofa. They had to cover with the towels as it was cold but not enough for the duvet. Near to a hospital so noise of ambulances

There was some mold around the edge of the sink and a stain on the sofa. The noise from the street was loud until past 2am. The bin lorries were loud when they came around early morning. Would not recommend to anyone who is a light sleeper. The sash windows ideally need updating or soundproofing added.
Room was lovely, good size and good facilities. Got some small snacks and drinks in the room which were a lovely touch.

Everything was great however, you can hear everything through the floor above. This includes all footsteps above
The hosts/receptionists are very friendly. The room is lovely and perfect for tourists that are not spending too much time in there (due to size)

The location is just awesome! Many transportation available within very short distance. Right next to Hyde park, safe area. Staff was extremly nice and helpful eith all questions we had. Room was really nice, we did not use the kitchen area at all. Bathroom could have been a bit more stylish, but overall great room and great service!

Only thing, it would be great to increase the light in the room which is sometimes too dark.
We stayed there for two days, position was great, and the room was really nice and comfortable.

Bathroom could use updating, but clean, hot water and working shower. Some furniture had marks/scrapes but that's just wear and tear from multiple visitors.
Walking distance to London Paddington station, good price, clean & comfortable. Complimentary snacks in the room and friendly staff. We arrived to leave our luggage, but our room was ready, so they let us check in early, which was really helpful.

Airconditioning is only available during summer, this is not mentioned clearly. Because of this, we had to keep the windows open and hardly had some sleep because this street is very very noisy, lots of (drunk?) people shouting in the middle of the night due to a pub nearby. Lots of ambulances due to the hospital nearby. Bathroom needs some upkeep, showerhead fell of and had a not of limescale, paint was flaking of the wall.
Centeal location, close to different tube stations and a lot of nice places to eat. Room is a nice size. Very nice staff.

Pillows are hard & the hairdryer over heats very quickly so always take my own.

Very noisy outside during the night due to argument between people passing by. Bathroom very small. Blinds don’t block out the sun.

There was a lot of noise. The elevator was loud f.e. (our room was right next to it). Next to that, all our electrical devices had poor connections to the outlets. Also the hairdryer that was made available for us by the accommodation, also had poor connection to the outlets which was strange and a bit annoying.
The staff was super friendly. The room was spacious (and had no carpet - which is good), there was a microwave, hairdryer, little fridge, toaster etc available. The bed was large enough for two. Location is perfect!
