The air conditioning can be hit or miss, unable to find the control panel so it was either boring hot or like an ice box during the night. But that's a minor thing!

Good hotel, in a good location. We got a room on the 11th floor, so we had a nice view from the window. Very close to the railway station from which trains to the airport depart. Independent check-in and check-out is a plus. Comfortable beds. A kettle in the room was also a plus. Easily connect your TV to your phone to watch Netflix, YouTube, etc.

Unfortunately I was unable to see the full facilities available in the property, due to the short nature of my visit. What was disappointing was the inability to easily see any lounge facilities on arrival.

A great central location, and a phenomenal view of the city from the room I stayed in.

Minor quibbles - the check in process at the desk was unnecessarily slow. Only 3 smallish lifts to service a lot of floors. Terrible coffee at breakfast.

Everyone in the hotel was so friendly and helpful. The location is very central. 5mins walk to Oxford Road train station and 10 mins to Piccadilly Station. Very quiet. Very clean. Breakfast brilliant. Nothing bad to say at all.

The hotel was busy when we arrived but the staff were very polite and helpful. The location was convenient for our needs, it was close to St.Peters tram stop and a short distance to the shops and restaurants. The hotel breakfast was very good and the food was hot. Everywhere was very clean The parking, payable to the hotel, was very close by and was not a multi storey which made it easier for access. Overall I think this was the best hotel we have stayed at in Manchester.

The location is great and the room was well presented. The hotel was very clean throughout and made for a pleasant stay. I dined in the restaurant as well and the service provided by Serena was exceptional. Despite being incredibly busy Serena was attentive to myself and other diners, taking time to talk through the menu with other diners. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Maldron to anyone visiting.

Quite pricey the night we stayed as there was an event on at Manchester Arena. Out of interest, we checked the price for the night after and it was half what we paid.

This is just my personal preference but I'm not keen on self check ins. I like the human interaction of checking in with a receptionist and the pleasantries that come with it. There was a receptionist there but they were busy the whole time we were waiting. We would definitely stay again though, overall was a good experience. There wasn't much room around the bed, I think larger people would feel cramped.
