If we had more money we probably would have booked somewhere with a proper extra bed for teen rather than a sofa bed, but it was fine for 2 nights.

Value for money is my main concern. Paid £138 for the room and then another £20 to park the car in front of the hotel. For a budget plus chain that's close to premium prices. We both like a well supported bed but this was close to hard as opposed to firm.

Modern hotel in a quirky semi industrial location adjacent to the inner ring road but close to the edge of the city centre if you don't mid a walk through a subway and around cleared land and surface car parks. Room was well organised and plenty of space, very quiet despite location. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.

Charge for use of hotel car park , controlled by Just Park. Good car park . Charging seems to be the norm with many inter city hotels these days.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the shops, bus station , entertainment venues and is located on the main routes into the city. The hotel is bright and modern and is a great place to stay for a long or short break.

Bit disappointed with the breakfast and breakfast area. It was self service which wasn’t a big problem, however, only one girl stocking up and clearing tables, however, I think it was expected that you cleared your own trays etc (which we didn’t mind doing). The toast machine was stuck in a corner, hard to access and the bread needed sending through two times to actually toast it, this caused queuing, even though we arrived at the recommended less busy time. The hot buffet wasn’t filled up readily and when asked about it, was told to wait! Although hotel did offer notices to request gluten free bread or mention allergies - when i requested a poached egg (neither could I be told whether there was extra ingredients added to the scrambled egg) and so I was told ‘No, only what’s available there’ Hence I had to have my breakfast without any eggs or beans for that matter due to waiting ages and nobody bringing any out when we were still waiting! I don’t think at this time my allergies were taken seriously. I know the breakfast is stated as complimentary’, however, going of the other hotels we looked at booking without breakfast options - this is actually added into the charge of the room.

Good view from room window, but windows didn’t open to let air in. Room was comfy, towels and bedding clean, shower in bathroom very good. Tea and coffee facilities available in the room and iron and ironing board to use if required (we didn’t need to use these). Plenty of room in wardrobe area for a short stay and one set of deep drawers between the beds, the beds by the way were small doubles rather than singles which was a bonus for us. Location of hotel to where we needed to go was spot on and only a short walk from the shopping areas and train station.
