Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI'm pretty sure there used to be allergen information on the pick n mix, and I'd really appreciate this being there next time we stay :) (the staff were very helpful though and brought me sweets they knew to be gluten free)
Very welcoming and upscale.

United KingdomNothing, loved it and all the staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
Property is above the Brewdog pub and is in a central location with zero noise. Upon arrival you get a free welcome drink and we also got £15p/p to spend on food that evening too which was great. The rooms are amazing with very thoughtful touches, especially if you like beer/Brewdog but also music! Black out curtains were amazing and the bed was sooooo comfy! Would certainly recommend anyone to stay here. The free pick n mix was also a lovely touch!

United KingdomStaff were friendly but overwhelmed, the dinner credit and welcome drink process was difficult and no one seemed to know what the process was. My partner was refused 2 welcome drinks (one for each of us) as the person serving 'couldn't see two people' so we both had to order and queue separately. Brunch menu was great but would have expected fresh ingredients not premade packaged avocado. Staff again overwhelmed and had a 40 minute wait for food while plates stacked up and went cold. I have prepaid for the shower beer selection but was then charged again on check out for the beers consumed. This was resolved quickly.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures, all really well done and high spec. Front of house staff were friendly and great location for city centre.

United KingdomClaims to be soundproofed walls however could hear other guests. Doors don’t automatically lock behind you. Lighting slightly dim, not ideal for makeup etc.
Unlike any other hotel we have stayed in. Staff were lovely and very helpful, facilities excellent. Free drink on arrival and £15pp towards dinner were a very nice touch.

SwitzerlandThe unique feature of having a beer tap right in the room was a standout, providing a delightful touch to our accommodation. Although we encountered a slight hiccup when the tap stopped working, the hotel staff was quick to address the issue. They promptly looked into the problem and compensated us with an assortment of canned beers, ensuring our experience remained seamless. Additionally, the concept of a 'shower beer' added a fun and refreshing twist to our routine, making the entire stay memorable. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day exploring the city. The staff deserves a special mention for their kindness and attentiveness, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast at the hotel was superb, consistent with the high quality we’ve come to expect from BrewDog establishments. Overall, the combination of innovative amenities, responsive service, and comfortable accommodations makes The DogHouse a top choice for anyone visiting Manchester. Highly recommended for a unique and satisfying stay!

United KingdomWoken in the night by glass being tipped into skips then again at 7:30 by the same bins being emptied. Under bed motion sensor lighting great in principle if you need the bathroom at night however also activated by the duvet countless times which isn’t great if you’re a light sleeper. No pun intended.
Price at £116 including 2 x welcome drinks and £15 each towards dinner was great value. Reserved a table in advance.Great staff. Food great.

United KingdomIt's a really minor thing but in the room their is movement activated lighting under the bed, everytime one of us stuck our leg out which was regularly as it was so hot, the room lit up which is frustrating when you're trying to sleep. We couldn't control the AC either which made sleeping uncomfortable in the heat.
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were warm and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you and made you feel very welcome. The free pick and mix is a lovely gesture as well as the free curly wurlys in the room. You can tell the business prioritise their customers. The £5 hotdogs were also surprisingly good value for money and not the cheap, tinned hotdogs I expected, myself and partner really enjoyed them.

United StatesNothing- I found little signs all over the place that made me laugh out loud!
Whoever started this hotel had a lot of imagination and a great sense of humor! The place is awesome! Bed was comfy, heated floor in bathroom, you get a free welcome drink and a dinner when you arrive, the location is great, the rooftop bar was fun, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful- just cannot say enough! I double- booked a room and I didn't mean to- they refunded the money! I would definitely recommend the place and if ever in Manchester again- we know where we're staying! P/s- don't miss the downtown library- what a treat! Moose Coffee is pretty yummy too

United KingdomWe had a fantastic experience at the Doghouse and a pleasurable stay, with its industrial style decor and hipster vibes this is definitely recommended for anyone looking for something different and a little bit quirky. The room is well stocked with beers, spirits, wine, soft drinks and snacks and you are also equipped with a large TV, sound bar and record player with a selection of vinyl records from Manchester artists. The restaurant offers a good range of food and the breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely consider booking again.

United KingdomThe hydration station was giving out warm water and the heating in our room did not work, the application was actually broken when we arrived. Luckily we did not need it, however it was a shame as it was loose.
