Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel was central, very clean, great atmosphere, perfumed room smell and decor, all staff met with where helpful and friendly and even though we only had a standard room due to a short visit, it was well laid out and had everything we needed. 11am check out good too

United KingdomWe went down for breakfast in the morning wearing our comfy clothes, I had a hoodie on. Everyone else wore business attire and most people in there were working. We were given a table right next to the buffet, so people kept knocking into us as they got their breakfasts. We were asked if we would like tea or coffee, which we ordered coffee. It never arrived. We were forgotten about. After watching the gentleman bring coffee to three other tables I had to go up and ask where ours was. Despite the fact that I’d hired the two best and most expensive rooms in the hotel, as I wasn’t in my suit I was judged, chucked into the corner and forgotten about.
THE BED WAS INCREDIBLE!!! Best sleep of my life. The decoration throughout the entire hotel was amazing. Such a fantastic atmosphere. We had a suite, room 502 and it was perfect.

Stunning interiors inside and outside, staff fabulous and lovely choice of areas to sit and drink.The location is ideal, cliseti a good selection of bars and restaurants. United KingdomNo fridge or coffee machine in the room. For a more upmarket hotel I’d say this is a requirement nowadays, even in more basic rooms. I visited a few years ago and they had a lovely upstairs terrace bar which has unfortunately closed down. I really hope they reopen this as it provided a more exclusive setting for a drink after dinner.
Fantastic value for money for the quality of the room, the location, the upmarket feel. Very friendly and easy check-in too. Room was exceptionally clean and also spacious. They put a box of chocolates in the room for my birthday which was a nice touch.

United KingdomCame here to celebrate with my newlywed wife on our wedding night and were treated exceptionally well with a room upgrade and complimentary items - rose petals on the bed, chocolates, and champagne. Staff are extremely helpful and can sort anything out really quickly. Room service food is really nice and I might get another burger before I go home tomorrow.
