Overall cleanliness was good, there were a few areas that could have more attention like the towel rail, window sill and net curtain, otherwise we liked the room

Ideal location, it’s large outside area is fab

The only issue was the towel rail in the Bathroom was so hot and could of done with a thermostat, apart from that the stay was beautiful.

The Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was lovely, the room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. They left a air conditioning unit as was so hot and was much appreciated, there was milk in a fridge that you can help yourself to. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I am looking forward to going back if I am in the area,

There was some bar noise from below our room and there was 2 hairs on the sink. My pet hate. Overall the stay was good though.

The room was large and comforrtable. The breakfast and dinner were great.

We were not told that they stopped serving food at 5pm on Sundays. We were turned away when we arrived for dinner at 5.30 and had to drive to another pub to find food.

Lovely location right on the edge of Dartmoor with easy access to good walks. Spacious, comfortable room. Ample parking. Excellent food in the restaurant.

Make sure your room isn't above the bar.

Our room was above the bar area, noise levels from the area increased from 23.45 till 00.30 with loud laughter and a screeching woman. The noise then came up the stairs to the floor above us where a couple in had noisy sex. Soundproofing between floors is not good. The floor above was marked Private so assume it was staff.

    Location.

The shower was very powerful (which was fantastic). However when we turned it on, it would literally explode water out all over the place, from the water pressure and the shower head cradle (this may need looking at). It would shoot water out towards you and out of the enclosure when first switched on. But it was a minor inconvenience... and to be honest highly comical watching my husband get attacked by it! 😄 But it was more than usable and the pressure was amazing.😍

We have stayed here a few times before. This is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The food is very good. This is also a locals pub, servicing a small village, right by one of the best parts of Dartmoor. But this doesn't mean it gets too noisy, and it is certainly not unfriendly. They are very dog friendly too. But the rooms do not smell doggy, unlike some places. If you are visiting the Yelverton area, this is the hotel I would recommend.

The cleanliness of the bath room on the whole was good but there was mould and mildew up the window and keeping the blind pulled down over it is not the answer, the shower wall has dirt and soap scum ground in in-between the tile which as a house wife i know could be cleaned off with a scrubing brush and some elbow grease. On moving the shower screen there was grime where it had been sitting, quite a let down to a lovely place.

    Friendly polite staff, lovely food..
