Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GreeceFurniture could be better, there was some dust on part of the furniture, the entrance was a bit spooky, and the lobby looks out of service.
It was easygoing, quiet, really clean bathroom, the stuff helped us immediately when we asked for something, and it was one of the cheapest last-minute options. Also, the neighborhood is nice. Many hidden gems (small coffee shops and restaurants) around.

TurkeyThe staff had a language barrier. They didnt speak English. We somehow made it. The first reception lady was angry and tense, IDK why. They made a deposit on cc and told me that it is just pre authorisation. But it is a sale on out side. Waiting for the deposit release.
The location of the place is good. You can even walk to Berlin DT on foot in 20 min.

PolandA deposit of 150 euros, which was found out only after booking and paying for the room. He also stretched the time of departure from the hotel: we had to wait until the room was checked. High audibility between the rooms and the corridor. There is no kitchen or teapot and cups in the room.

United StatesCleints should be made aware of No CHECK IN AFTER 11 PM before booking , NOt after confirmation. I was arriving 1 pm, so no problem. Hotel wants to be called 20 min before getting to.hotel. with international phone rates, its nuisance. No microwave, no electric kettle. Was given one small and one bath towel for 3 days. Walls are very thin, everynight people next room argue till late and snored , not quiet. If hotel can fix above simple things can be 5 star excellent, for money.
Loved location. Only 5 min or less from U station. Overall clean. Hotel itself is in quiet nice neighborhood. Room's noise inside hotel is different story. Small room, but had 3 beds. For 3 people with luggage can be congested

NorwayThe facilities were very basic and have seen better days. This hotel could easily get better rating if they had spent some money on new beds, furniture, blankets and pillows. I had the feeling that these things had not been prioritized. The bathroom was old, but this could have been turned into something really cool with some simple upgrades. Keep the antique and charming elements, and replace the things that the guests need to feel clean and comfortable. Anyway you Get What you pay for.

SwedenIt seems to be either not possible or (strongly) not recommended to check in after 11 pm, and there's a 15€ charge when checking in after 10 pm. That being said, we arrived at 10:45 pm or so and were received without any problem. It was difficult to open the window and the room could be a bit hot.
It's a calm neighborhood, but there are still some restaurants and the like. There were no problems with the deposit. Staff members are nice.
