Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Location is very proximate to restaurants, grocery, train stations, and points of interest for a tourist. Spacious room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine by the nice guy at the reception upon hearing it was our first time in Sydney. Lorenzo at the bar has given us a very warm accommodation and remarkable service.

AustraliaThe bed in the suite was quite small (smaller than a queen). Staff did not show any excitement when I mentioned it was my birthday. I did not expect a royal treatment, but a simple "Our congratulations!" would have been nice.
The location is superb. Staff was nice and offered a extra bed free of charge as we didn't realise the only bed in the room was a double. Facilities are a little outdated, but overall very clean.

AustraliaSecond room 516 bathroom water pressure was very low so the water in the shower came out very slowly. This room had no noice-cancel so we could hear loud noice next door.
The first thing room 727 was well maintained and very clean. The lobby smelt amazing and welcoming. Neil from the buffet was so lovely and perfect staff to welcome guests for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was the highlight. Amazing spread of options.
