Samobor is a nice, small historical city with a lot of cafes, confectioneries, bakeries wineshops and shops for Samobor's culinary specialties - bermet, kremsnita, mustarda, cesnofka, greblica and so on. Not only the historical center of the city is interesting, but also the countryside is excellent for activities like hiking, biking wine-touring.. and/or relaxing. Good quality of asphalt roads in the area would enjoy many motorbike riders, as well.

During our 2-day stop, we visited the old castle (impressive ruins, and through the firing lines you can see straight to Zagreb), swam in a pleasant little pool with a great atmosphere on Vugrinščak and visited the interesting Samobor Museum. We ate great at the Hotel Lavica and tried the Samobor cream cheese (kremsnita) in the cafes U prolazu and Livadić (the cream cheese was slightly better in U prolazu, and the coffee was dramatically better at Livadić). I regret that we missed famous restaurant Gabreku 1929.
Generally speaking Samobor is a pleasant little town with a rich history and beautiful nature. The main square is picturesque and lively. At the time of our visit, many bars were closed (due to annual leave). Closer look shows that the facades could be better arranged (signs have faded, places of service activities, such as hairdressing salons, look sloppy and unattractive), and people could be more interested in their guests.

Very nice small city.
Very nice small city. But I was surprised that in the most of restaurants or bars you can´t use credit card for payment. You need to have a cash. And in case you´re spending there only few hours and then move to different country so it is not necessary to have local currency. But there are a lot of bank machines :-)
The location of the hotel was superb. Located just a 1 minute walk from the main square, you couldnt ask for more. Moreover, it also has private parking on site, which was a big benefit. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The building itself is a little historical, but because of this maybe a little outdated. Our room had a great view of the old wooden bridge.
Hostess Gabi is amazing and we had a really pleasant conversation about life in general and also what Samobor has to offer. You get a PIN code to enter the premises so don't worry about uninvited guests. Showers have good pressure and the water is hot. Toilet paper rolls and paper tissues for drying your hands are checked regularly to make sure that they are always there.
Great location, just 10 minutes walk from the city center through beautiful Samobor. The room was clean and really comfortable. Self check in is fabulous. The host was answering all our questions by WhatsApp and she recommended us good places to visit and we enjoyed Samobor a lot. She also allowed us to stay parked on the property until 14h! We will be back. Thank you 💕
I had a perfect stay in Samobor. The apartment is brand new, very comfortable, with high quality furniture and finishings. Location is perfect, in a quiet residential area at about 10 minutes walking from the central square. Host Sandra is very communicative and helpful.
I don't think I ever rated a property 10 points before, but here they are well deserved.
The place was spotless clean, beautifully furnished almost as a boutique hotel. All facilities, for a comfortable stay, were available. From a fully equipped kitchen to a large array of cleaning products, countless bath towels, candles and wine and sweets and a full fridge for a marvellous breakfast.
Perfectly located apartment in the centre of Samobor yet tucked away from any noise. The accommodation is modern, kept very clean and tidy, and is extremely well-equipped. The host is very welcoming and communication before, during and after the stay was excellent. Highly recommend!
Samobor is about a half hour from the airport, so this was a good stop to stay at an affordable hotel in a pleasant town. The hotel itself is on the old side and the room was small. Good for a near-the-airport hotel, but nothing special.
Loved the location and the comfort of this flat.
We stayed here twice while in Samobor- returning because the place and the hosts were so wonderful.
Backing onto the River, it’s a very beautiful backdrop.
Beautiful studio apartment in hart of the city of Samobor. Apartment has balcony where you can enjoy fresh breeze from local river and hill. Parking was safe for my car. And Ivana was great host.
Nice & spacious property with all the kitchen equipment you could need, plus a nice walk-in shower. Situated right in the middle of Samobor. Good central heating for staying warm at winter!
The location is great, in the center of the city. The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Good value for money when staying in the hotel.
Location is perfect, just a 2 minutes drive from city Samobor, 25 minutes drive to Zagreb. The house is situated on a hill , we enjoyed wonderfull views to surroundings .
