Deia is a special place in the mountains of Mallorca.
Deia is a special place in the mountains of Mallorca. Super walkable. The trails and the beach are super cool and the restaurants are all good. Nice vibe and well worth the visit. Different than anything else I have seen on my trips to Mallorca. Will be back.

The ancient city of Deià is charming with spectacular acces to one of mallorcas most beautiful coves. We loved our stay here, but it is a quiet town with only a few restaurants. The Wednesday market in the square is also tiny. i was expecting a larger market from the reviews and was disappointed there wasn’t more to look around at. The town itself is so beautiful and ancient, it almost feels like a movie set. the people are super friendly. We encountered many locals who knew five languages but only had a little english, so be prepared with a translator app and if you have a little french. most people know that, or german but you won’t have 100% guarantee that you will be able to communicate if you don’t have the basics of spanish. even so, you would get by fine as the locals will work with you until you understand each other.

Easy public bus service to Palma, Valldemossa, Sóller and Port Sóller. A good handful of nice restaurants and a couple of bars. Would improve with a takeaway and sandwich shop but there is a supermarket which is open until late.
Trattoria Italiano, Xelini and Es Punt are my favourite restaurants but there are other more upmarket restaurants that are nice such as Restaurant Deia and Sa Vinya. Haven’t tried Sebastian but is said to be nice for a special meal out. Best bar is Sa Fonda - very cool and casual.
It is a 10 minute walk to Robert Graves house museum and a 25 minute walk down to the Cala.
Valldemossa is pretty but quite touristy, Sóller is lovely for lunch and Port Sóller is a nice resort by the sea & beach. Thanks the orange train from Sóller to Palma is wonderful or down to the Port from Sóller.

Having first visited Deia over 30 years ago I was saddened by the changes. During the day this small hill village is packed with tourists and traffic. There are lots of small cafes and restaurants to keep everyone fed and watered but the pavements are narrow and the number of people don’t make for a relaxing visit. I’m afraid it has lost it’s charm.

Deia is one of the prettiest places I have ever been, definitely a hidden gem of Spain that I don't think many people associate with Mallorca. The buildings are exquisite, the tranquility soothing and the hotels 5 star!

The ambience of a small village but with superb shops and restaurants. Having previously lived in Deia the steps and hills one had to negotiate were not a surprise but for those visiting Deia for the first time it may be a bit of a shock. And those folks with mobility issues, Deia can be a challenge. A fabulous place that draws you back and gets in your soul.
EVERYTHING about this hotel was wonderful! Location on a cliff overlooking the sea, our Jr suite villa came with a pool and was very spacious and clean, staff was so friendly and helpful. Their newest member (apologies it is either Fernando or Francisco) was polished and knowledgeable during his first days at this hotel. We ate breakfast, which was included, and lunch here. Everything was made to order and delicious. Don’t miss the fresh squeezed orange juice! This hotel and staff were perfect.
Clara met us on arrival, helped us navigate the road in, and did a great job letting us know about the surrounding area and house itself. She was super friendly and informative.
Located in an olive grove, surrounded by charming sheep, and a pretty walk to nearby Deia beach and the village itself, the house was the absolute perfect place for exploring or just sipping wine and watching the sunset. I can't recommend it enough; we'll definitely be back.
10/10 amazing stay. This hostel is quaint and gorgeous, with the most incredible views. We upgraded to a double room with a terrace and wow, we are so glad we did. Drinking wine under the wooden beams full of flowers was out of a dream. Great location with an enjoyable walk to all the amazing restaurants Deia has to offer. You might even get a visit from Jaya, the cutest kitty ever! I can't wait to return here.
The location and the view were perfect, the best place we stayed in Mallorca. There is a great hiking track all the way to Cala Deia, which made it so easy to get to and from our lunch booking at Ca's Patro March. The stairs down to a swimming spot was amazing, most of the time there was no one else there and much more beautiful than the crowded Cala Deia.
The perfect vacation. The hotel is 5 stars - charming and beautifully unique and the rooms are so comfortable. There are many stunning views and places to relax both at the hotel and private cove. The staff are truly exceptional. They are fun, friendly and helpful. It’s a luxurious but cozy atmosphere that feels like home (only better)!
Everything was perfect! A hidden gem in Mallorca, we will return back for sure! Lovely view from the room, very good breakfast and super clean. I didn't mind of the shared bathroom, because it was clean and felt more like home. This hotel is the best value in Mallorca for sure!
The location is perfect. The room, though small, was comfortable. The communal areas, breakfast room & lounges, were stylish. Breakfast with its array of fresh fruit & avocados was fabulous. The hotel has an old fashioned feel but I think that’s a positive.
We loved the hotel from the start. The beautiful location, the warm welcome and helpfulness of the staff. Food and wine choices were excellent. We didn't use our hire car at all. Everything was walkable or could be reached by bus.
The location was amazing and the value for the hotel was spectacular. It felt similar to Big Sur, but didn’t have to pay $1,000 per night. We were upgraded to an ocean view at no cost. The service was fantastic.
It’s the most peaceful, tranquil hotel with a view to die for. Everyone who works there goes out of there way to make sure you have the most relaxing time. It’s not cheap but honestly it’s worth every penny
We adored the communal terrace and the quirky reception. Our room was cute with lovely bed covers. But, the very best bit had to be the gorgeous view from our window. Deia is so beautiful.
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, variety of options for breakfast with coffee bar, patio and pool area with beautiful view...all in all an amazing value.
Lovely little hotel right in the heart of Deia. Comfy bed, lovely pool area and good breakfast. Relaxed and casual low key hotel with wonderful mountain views.
Beautiful hotel. Everything. Best part is the little restaurant with private access to the sea…. a dream… not even La Residencia has that… seriously a gem.
