Calella de Palafrugell is a stunning, peaceful safe place to holiday at any time of year. Off season there isn't much in the way of entertainment which may not suit those seeking a lively nightlife.

Great area,not very touristy which we liked,lovey beaches.
Great area,not very touristy which we liked,lovey beaches. Coastal walk to LLafranc (& in other direction!) plenty of restaurants, couple of supermarkets. Free parking in car parks after September 16th . Noticed a tourist bus ( Julivia) that comes into the area ( not sure of route or timings!) & believe you can also get a bus to Palamós. You could walk to Palafrugell but we had car and used large supermarket there.

Great little village with lots of beaches in the town and a short walk around the coast in either direction that are definitely worth going to just for the walks. We enjoyed walking along the sea front especially the coastal walk to Llafranc although it involves steep paths and steps. The one way circulation system is easy to drive and walk although may be difficult for persons with mobility problems. Eat at restaurants frequented by locals is my recommendation as we had a bad experience at a restaurant high up overlooking the bay. Our visit was at the end of the season and some restaurants closed from October 2nd.

Very pretty coastal town without any of the high rise buildings that mar much of the rest of the Spanish coast. Only negative was that the beaches were far too full. And hey, can someone inform the restaurant owners and cooks that being vegetarian is a thing?Paul Tingen

The breakfasts are sublime ..really 5 star! But the most impressive part is the service with a smile attitude of the staff. In particular we had the most wonderful housekeeping staff. We were in Room 231...so I hope someone knows who we are referring to. Also the dining room is run by the most exceptional pair of women who ooze charm and good service. This is really a lovely place to stay. Thank you.

Our daughter was 15 months when we first came and she is now 26. We love the hotel and the fact that we have the best of both worlds with the gardens and the pool, yet are so close to the beautiful little coves too. We loved swimming in the sea and the pool and did so daily. The proximity to the centre of Calella de Palafruguel is perfect too with great restaurants and walks along the wonderful coastline.HeatherUnited Kingdom

They had a really nice breakfast in the morning and offered a tray to take my kids breakfast in the room. The location was perfect, next to a market and one block to the beach and all the restaurants. Such a quaint and special hotel and town. They have a massage therapist on site as well with a beautiful relaxation and therapy room. It was very reasonable.

It’s very comfortable and super clean. the hosts are very friendly and accesible at all times. Highly recommend it if you have plans to go the Costa Brava.
