The studio was large, comfortable, well appointed. Spacious bathroom with great italian shower, useful kitchenette with most appliances and cutlery available (bring your kettle and coffee machine though), a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, and a lounge area with two sofas. With free car park and direct access to the beach and to Dali's villa, it's a great place to visit Cadaquès and tour the neighbouring Dali venues.

Good value breakfast at additional cost. Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel most welcome. Room was spacious and clean. Church bells next door sounded out the hours but they had a pleasant tone and we didn’t find them at all intrusive. Excellent quiet location a short walk away from the main beach and restaurant area

The accommodation was in a lovely area with a spectacular view over the vineyards. The staff was helpful and professional. Bonus point: there were 2 cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniels at the property that greeted us upon arrival.

Cadaqués is a Spanish harbour town in north Catalonia on the beautiful Costa Brava, about a 2-hour drive from Barcelona. The white of the houses and the blue of the sky inspired many famous artists like Matisse, Picasso and Max Ernst, who decided to live there for a period of their life.
Featuring traditional Mediterranean architecture with narrow streets, a sophisticated atmosphere and a paradise bay with small fishing boats, the medieval town of Cadaqués is home to important churches and museums.
The world-renown surrealist painter Salvador Dali lived in Port Lligat, in a former fisherman's house with his everlasting love Gala. Today the house of Salvador Dali is open to the public and you can visit the artist’s atelier, the library and the garden.
Travellers should not miss the national park of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of mainland Catalonia with a historic lighthouse built in 1853. This unique place is perfect for hiking or boat excursions.
The promenade area of Cadaqués has many local restaurants serving Catalan specialities. Booking.com will help you find a hotel, guest house or resort in the heart of this picturesque town and the nearby cities of Roses, Empúriabrava and Sant Pere Pescador.
Beautiful town and coastline. Exceedingly windy therefore cold but we went in April. Restaurants and supermarkets overpriced but lovely church, museum, little shops and steep windy streets to wander around. Twenty minute drive to get there winding back and forth through the mountains so not great if you get carsick.
Beautiful walks in all directions if you can brave the wind.

Cadaques is a small town, still with a lot of excellent small independent restaurants, design shops. It has some exquisite bays for swimming as well as exceptional scenery. everything is walking distance including the Salvador Dali home. If you like biking or trekking it is also a very good choice. Do not miss Cap de Creus natural reserve, where you can even have lunch or dinner. The food is always exceptional in Cadaques

Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem.
Cadaques is a beautiful hidden gem. Most visitors have driven from neighbouring France or other parts of Spain, not many Brits abroad! It's a bustling and very family friendly town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and you can spend your days on the beach, doing watersports, visiting Dali's House, or at your hotel pool. Walking along the harbour at night is beautiful.

Cadeques is a very quaint little village with lots of lovely cafes, eateries and bars. Their is lots to see and a lot of shops (if you like shopping?).
Not a place for high heals due to steep hills and uneven pavements but the place is full of people that like to promenade!. Very very busy place, lots of day trippers. All the beaches are small and rocky. A coastal walk is recommended to find a rare sandy (ish) beach. Picturesque and well worth a visit. Tourists predominately French

Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others.
Plenty of eateries, although some were better than others. Had a great trip round the bay on an old wooden sailing boat. Went to the Dali museum (booking advised) unbelievably amazing house. Also went to a butterfly farm which had many parrots.
It’s a nice hotel. The only issue is the location, on top of a hill which is steep in places. A service is available to transport one’s bags from the parking, my advice is to use it, we didn’t and regretted it. Apart from that the rooms are clean and modern everything worked and the pillows were comfortable. I asked to take a cup of tea to the room- my wife was unwell. This request was refused. The person who dealt with us spoke a bit of English and a bit of French-communication was not a problem.I would not stay there again.
Our stay at Ubaldo was a very positive experience. The room with balcony was very pretty and tidy, the bathroom was big and had everything you might need. The hotel also provided us with a free parking spot in a private covered garage, exceptional added value. There is no free parking option in Cadaquès, and the paid parkings are extremely expensive, so what hotel Ubaldo gives is really outstanding. The location is fantastic, right in the center and the staff is friendly and approachable.
This hotel is perfectly situated in Cadaques. You can walk everywhere. There is a lovely little beach in front of the hotel and great dining options within steps. We loved our balcony room, a great view of the harbor and town all day and night. Despite being on the main road, the room is quiet and relaxing. The pool area is also really nice.
My husband and I loved our stay and will be back again and again.
The parking garage is great, but small even for Europe.
Loved being so close into the center of Cadaques. The street has a lot of character, restaurants, people walking about, etc, and just a block from the beach. The staff we met were very invested in us having a good time and were very responsive to questions or requests. The room reminded us of a painting of one of van Gogh's bedrooms, which seemed just right for Cadaques. People we met said we would come back to Cadaques, and we think they are right!
Love the place and location!
More than a hotel, it's a beautiful house at the seafront right in the heart of Cadaqués that allows you to experience the place like a local.
It has just been nicely and carefully renovated and it's very cozy and comfortable. The views are amazing.
Love the café-restaurant downstairs, it has a great atmosphere.
All in all a wonderful weeks holiday in Cadaques thanks to the superb accomodation at Sol Ixent:-)
Perfect weather and quiet to enjoy our stay in the hotel to the full. Very friendly staff, superb breakfast, everything very well maintained and cared for - the rooms, the pool, the environment, the grounds. We look forward to our next visit!
The hotel location was perfect for visiting The Dali House Museum, just a very short walk from the front of the hotel. We had a room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the bay. it was quite beautiful and serene. The property is also another short walk to a great restaurant serving local dishes in a pleasant, scenic setting.
The view is to die for! This a family run hotel and everyone was kind and generous to us. The walk to town is a good way to stretch your legs and the neighborhood is safe and picturesque. We can sincerely say our expectations were blown away and we were so glad we decided to stay here for three nights.
A hotel of great character in the great location, right in the center of the village, so filled with Dali memorabilia and art, you don't know where to look first. The staff was excellent all around, and gave us great advice about where to eat and what to do. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
Breakfast was very basic continental only. No eggs, even though it was Sunday.
Location: very close to beach, but on the few hundred yards to the hotel were always dubious people loitering and making me feel uncomfortable with loud and drunk sounding talking.
We loved this hotel so much. Perfect location in Cadaqués - it felt quiet and relaxing and peaceful but within 5 minutes you were on the busy main beachfront street. So clean and comfortable, great pool area and terrace, I couldn't recommend this hotel more!
Stunning location near coastal trails, spotless hotel, big comfortable room with great view and mini-fridge, large breakfast with z nice variety of offerings in a lovely setting, very quiet, friendly helpful staff.
This hotel is right in the center of the small town in a nice picturesque setting.
It amazes me that it is only rated with a one Star. This is far superior than a single Star. This must be the best kept secret.
LOCATION was in good proximity to town and it was just a beautiful town to be in. I flew in from Paris to Barcelona and made my way to Cadaques via train then bus. Loved the town and the hotel was great.
This hotel was exceptional beautiful and the outlook from all areas was amazing. It was also an easy and glorious stroll into the centre of Cadaques, which is truly worth a visit.
Amazing location in the center of town by the water. Fun and funky old hotel with a Salvador Dali theme. Helpful staff - appears family run. Nice breakfast in the morning.
Awesome hotel. Marked at 9 due to full length mirror, lack of magnifying mirror in bathroom (important for those of us with bad eyesight to do our makeup) and no kettle.
