Great town to spend time walking around in interesting neighbourhoods like Christiania and downtown. It is small and easy to enjoy on foot, though if you don't like too much walking, there's a workable metro to go around.
There is a lot to see, a lot to do, a lot to try in terms of food and lovely places and as such is a good target to come for the extended weekend. In addition to that, there's a few things worth jumping out of town for like Louisiana Museum of Modern Arts which is a 45 minutes away from the city but well worth it!
One thing to keep in mind is that it is a costal city in a flat piece of land which means there's always a wind and during colder parts of the year, it can be quite chilly.

I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed Copenhagen.
I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed Copenhagen. It is a very easy city to navigate with excellent transport links. It is a bilingual city and we never had any problems at all getting very friendly assistance from passers-by. Loved the varied architecture - medieval to cutting edge.
All major sites are easily accessed and the Canal boat rides are excellent. Great food with many options. Direct links into Copenhagen from the airport.

Copenhagen is a great city to get introduced to the Scandinavian esthetic and lifestyle. It's ideal for a short stay or a weekend getaway. We were very impressed by the diversity and quality of the food scene. We were also surprised to see so many families with babies compared to other Western capitals. I guess the Scandinavian welfare system truly works! On the negative side, Danish people are extremely racist towards Muslims and Arabs. My family was bullied and subjected to racist slurs which I found very shocking coming from Washington DC. I also highly recommend Copenhagen for its proximity to Sweden which makes it easy to visit two countries at once.

It is an incredible city that must be visited.
It is an incredible city that must be visited. It was very nice to experience the life of the Vikings, to be with people with an extremely high cultural level, to taste the flavors of the Northern cuisine, and to do shopping. We will definitely come again.

Copenhagen is a dream city for everyone who wants to have sustainable city trips.
A very compact city, with great walking tours, beautiful architecture, and many sightseeing.
3 days are enough for proper introduction of the city center. But if you want to explore also the surroundings - plan 1 or 2 extra days. You won´t be disappointed.

I enjoyed seeing the historic sights.
I enjoyed seeing the historic sights. There was not a central historic district, sot the sights were spread out throughout the city. The public transportation made it easy to get from one place to another quickly. I enjoyed Nyhaven, changing of the guards, palaces and museums. I took an organized day trip to Kronborg and Frederiksborg Castles as well as Roskilde Cathedral
My second stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is simply perfect, walking distance from the Copenhagen Airport and also from Kastrup metro station (M2 takes you to the city centre) This time I was upgraded to a premium room, which was huge, with a big bathoom with a window. The room was very clean, bed comfortable. This time hotel was not very full so there were no problems with queue at front desk that I experienced the first time. Also breakfast parlour was not crowded. I will definitely return to this hotel.
It is one the best stay I have ever had.
Alexandra Hotel is not so big but it is perfect!
First of all location was great! Just in the heart of Kopenhag.
Staff was so lovely and helpfull.
Room was big enough and clean.
Every evening between 17:00-19:00 there is free wine time and it is a great idea for guests. You can meet other hotel guests in the lobby talk or even you are alone have a nice time in the lobby with wine complimentary.
There was coffee machine in the room that what I always want from a hotel.
This has been the second time I stayed in this hotel: it is really well located, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and about the same time to be in the city centre. And the price is really good for Copenhagen.
The room was clean, functional and very quiet thanks to a window to the inner courtyard.
The breakfast was really nice with freshly baked bread, fruit and coffee. On top of that, you had a splendid view across the city.
Next House Copenhagen Hostel exceeded all of my expectations during my recent stay. The first floor of this hostel was outstanding, offering a wide range of amenities perfect for families with kids. The billiards table, bar, backgammon, and cinema provided endless entertainment options, ensuring that both adults and children had a fantastic time. Overall, this hostel provided the best experience for families, and I highly recommend it.
first of all, its really clean. The lobby in hotel is huge, there is so much stuff to do - pool table, arcade games, futboll field. there is a terrace on the rooftop and bar that works on weekends i think. the place is insane, literally best hostel i stayed so far. its really close to tivoli amusement park and central station of Copenhagen so I liked it but it's not like very close to city centre.
Interesting place on the northern fringe of Copenhagen's city centre. That's not the most vibrant part of the city but hotel is strategically placed near one of the major traffic hubs. Even the public transport boat station is within walking distance. Passing trains (my room was directly facing railway tracks) didn't disturb my sleeping, but that's subjective. Room was surprisingly spacious.
The location of SP34 is great.
From there you can easily stroll around Copenhagen.
The room was a good size and comfy. I also did like that the mattress of the bed was firm. Slept very well.
I like the design and the style of the hotel.
My favourite part though is the breakfast. Great variety and everything i had was delicious.
The croissants are the best!
The location is superb. The staff are utterly brilliant and the breakfast is some of the best I have ever experienced. This hotel is a MUST STAY if you are visiting Copenhagen. Everyone at Absalon Hotel works very hard to make their guests feel welcome and happy. Really great experience at a really great hotel.
Wake Up Copenhagen has a great balance between budget and comfort, probably the best I have seen. It's a budget hotel with the look and feel of a better hotel. The location is good. Sure, the room is quite small, but it's fresh, tidy and you have what you need.
Spacious and clean apartment in a beautiful neighbourhood in Copenhagen. Great views from the balcony. Easy to reach with public transport. About 30 min walking from the city centre or just take the water taxi which departs only 4 min walking from hotel.
We loved it here, hotel was luxurious, room was large and had the best view I ever had in a hotel. Breakfast had many choices. Walking distance to the metro, a small park next to it for kids and of course the aquarium was 5 minutes away on foot.
great hotel, with a neat interior design, great bar and cafe within the hotel. the best part was the location. it was close to walking distance or train ride to everywhere we wanted to go all around copenhagen during our stay.
This is the best hotel breakfast I Denmark and of the airport options, by far the best. Comfortable beds, nice linens, Rituals products and a good gym (currently under renovation but you have access to the one next door).
We liked the location near airport, near a great park for walking/biking/birding, and near the trains to Sweden and to Copenhagen (and to airport). Grocery stores nearby good too. Love bicycle rental. Loved staff.
It was a really good experience at NH Copenhagen. The hotel is well located from the city centre. All the staff were so friendly, polite and respectful. I would recommend the hotel for my friends.
This is the best hotel in the Radisson Park range that I know. Easy access with any form of transport and short transport by Metro to Copenhagen city centre. Good beds and high quality breakfast.
Nice hotel in the city centre, literally a 3 minutes walk from the Copenhagen Central Station. Small-ish but comfortable rooms. Shared bathrooms, but very clean. Positive experience.
A great hotel, superbly well run in a perfect location for all things Copenhagen. So different from most clinical city centre hotels. Food and service both top class. Loved it!
