I visited on the New Year holiday which was marvelous except for the weather. A force 8 gale with 15ft seas was recorded. Nevertheless a good time was had. The whole town went bat sh*t bonkers on New Years Eve by dressing up outrageously. The whole event concluded with a magnificent firework display.
Visitors lodged in the Old Town need to be nimble as do those going to No 85, which has narrow and awkward stair access to bedrooms.
Frail or people with compromised walking really ought to swerve this St Ives. The streets are steep, one car wide (although two way) and very narrow.
Try “One Fish Street” for a delicious, although expensive dinner. I’m a chef and I ‘rate’ this restaurant.

St Ives is just lovely, one of my favourite places in the UK. Very friendly with plenty of shops and places to eat. Beaches superb. Are at The Captains Table, part of The Sloop Onn and I must say the food was delicious and the service impeccable!

St Ives is a beautiful tourist trap in the southwest county of Cornwall. I've visited the town on many occasions at different times of the year. Its beauty (no matter the weather) never ceases to amaze. From the beautiful harbour and bays to the dramatic coastline; it's a jewel.

This is my happy place so I’m biased. Lovely beaches, shops and wide range of places to stay and eat. Parking can be difficult in the summer months but there is a good bus service from the large car park at the leisure centre. Highly recommended

It was nice to take a slow walk about the town exploring both shoreline and back streets . Lots of lovely smells about the place from all the different types of food and drink available.
Scoff troff was good quick snack food . For fish and chips takeaway - try up steps by the sloop - they were yummy .
It’s in a stunning location Carbis Bay not far from St Ives, walk to the end of the street & their are buses that take you into St Ives in 5 mins. The room was small but the bed very comfortable & spacious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice. The host’s are very friendly & suggested lots of attractions to visit in the area. I recommend this B & B when visiting Cornwall.
We loved our stay in the Cosy Cabin in the back of the garden , it was spacious and very light . Breakfast was in the conservatory and was delicious and the staff were lovely .
Location was great about 20 minute walk to Carbis Bay Beach , also train and bus available to St Ives .
Will be recommending to everybody and hopefully visiting again in the near future.
Ideal for a large group or family (as we were). Clean , comfortable and spacious with everything you'll need, 20 minute walk into St Ives and/or Carbis Bay, nice local pub with good food 2 minutes away plus off road parking which is always a bonus in St Ives.
Would definitely stay there again and recommend.
Fabulous views, lovely facilities, extremely clean, location to the beach and Carbis Bay train station, which took 3 mins to get to St Ives. Beds felt lovely and comfy with hotel grade clean fresh bed linen. Host was very helpful and friendly, Paul went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic holiday.
We absolutely loved our stay in this boutique hotel. The decor was beautifully stripped back, lots of white and naturals which were very well done. The views of the harbour were just stunning, it was impossible not to keep taking pictures.
The owners were also so welcoming.
The Lifeboat Inn was over a great little pub and located in the center of St. Ives which was fantastic and the price was reasonable. The pub was very comfortable and with a good selection of ales. The room was very comfortable but was without a view.
Hotel was excellent value for money. Staff went above and beyond, particularly with our dogs. Room was clean and well sized with stunning sea view across St Ives Bay. Hotel is perfectly located, with easy access to town and beach plus free parking.
Absolutely Beautiful and lived up to its reputation. Small and boutique feel with 5* experience. Spa was excellent too. Location was wonderful and easy 3 minute train round the bay to St Ives.
Awesome view. Direct access to the outside from our room, which was excellent for the dog. Very dog friendly hotel. Breakfast and staff were amazing. Love the atmosphere of the place.
Gorgeous apartment set in stunnjng gardens.
Plenty of space in the apartment, parking space right outside. Hotel facilities were great. Location brilliant for walking into town.
Attractive gardens, staff pleasant, lots of space, easy parking, convenient for town and beaches, on site sports facilities available, restaurant good with fine views.
Lovely hotel and staff located in a perfect part of Cornwall. The views are as good as they look and without doubt, the food was some of the best we've had, anywhere.
This hotel is amazing. We loved the boho beach decor. The location and views were excellent. The staff was warm and friendly. We can’t wait to stay here again.
