NH Sintra Centro, hotel in Sintra

Situated in the heart of the UNESCO heritage town of Sintra, the 4-star NH Sintra Centro Hotel offers accommodation in a tranquil setting, offering panoramic views across a dramatic landscape.

The staff was FANTASTIC! They took care of everything and were so kind and caring. Pedro met us and helped with parking, luggage and checking us in. He was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Tomas, at the bar made sure our drinks were filled and had lively conversations. Duordo entertained us with his stories and made sure we knew the sights to see. The location could not be better. The room was very nice, beds comfortable and view was wonderful. They were very accommodating for our cat traveling with us. So nice to be able to stay at a wonderful hotel with our kitty.

Sintra Boutique Hotel, hotel in Sintra

Located in centre of the historic UNESCO town of Sintra, this boutique hotel offers rooms and suites with views of the old town and Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

Location in the best center of the settlement is only one part of the story. The hotel is amazing, clean, cozy, welcoming. Large and spacious rooms. Although we don't like carpets because of the smells that accumulate, here we didn't feel any smell or unpleasant feeling. The staff is professional and kind, they were at our disposal for everything we asked for. In short, an excellent experience in Sintra

    Sintra is a beautiful town.

Sintra is a beautiful town. There are many places to see, but so many other tourists it is hard so some attractions. If you want to go to attractions you need to purchase tickets ahead of time and make sure you have reliable transportation to the attractions. Allow ample time to get to where you are going b/c traffic to the tourist sights are usually jammed with traffic. Lots of places to eat and shop.

Historical part of Sintra certainly deserves a visit when you are in the area. In my opinion one full day will do to see visit the park and some of the palaces. You would start early so a stay overnight might be more convenient for some.Tickets are easily booked online and I purchased an audio tour to listen to on my phone. There are are tuktuk or taxi drivers around that can bring you to the entrance of the park from where you can walk to the Palace de Pena and other sites. There are several entrances. Instead going to the busy main entrance I took a tuktuk to the entrance of the Valley of the Lakes, a 45 min. walk away from Palace de Pena. It a beautiful and quiet part of the park and I took a detour to see the chalet and garden of the Countess of Edla, which I loved even more than the palace itself. Visiting the palace involved long waits in line and walking in files through the rooms. Not my thing. The park is huge with a diversity in plants and trees, it has a camelea and a fern garden, just nice to wonder around for a few hours. Bring snacks and drinks if you want to avoid the waiting line for the cafeteria at the palace.

Lots of walking. Ideally 3-4 days to hit everything comfortably. Old Town is closed to motor traffic so rideshare, taxis, and public transportaion are your best bet. Rideshare works to the sites well but can often be a problem getting back

It is perfect place for two days visit from Lisbon.

It is perfect place for two days visit from Lisbon. First day we managed to visit Quinta da Regaleira, next day - Pena and Cabo de Roca, and at the first half of the next day - Monserrate Palace. It was worth to visit everything. One bad thing is the local transport company Scotturb. Overpriced tickets with almost no options except 24h ticket. If you don't need the day ticket, I think using a taxi is better.

This charming boutique hotel is one of a kind. Sintra feels like a fairytale town and staying at this beautiful, tasteful, lavish hotel made us feel like we were royal guests. Our room was designed cleverly with no expense spared on the best quality and comfort. Breakfast was sumptuous and freshly made. The location is perfect, with just a short walk to the historical center, cafes, restaurants, bars, castles and palaces. The cherry on the cake is the view of the lights of the Moorish Castle up on the hill twinkling down on us at night!

The hotel property is lovely. You drive in through a gate (that's closed at night) into a beautifully treed courtyard area where parking is located. There are several historic buildings housing the bedrooms, a separate building containing the breakfast room, a pool with a large seating area as well as several smaller patios. The grounds are well tended and there were still some flowers in bloom in October. Hotel staff were helpful and recommended a very good restaurant nearby, which we appreciated after a long flight to Portugal.

A genuine place to stay (ie NOT a chrome and glass hotel); somewhere that contributed to the experience of being in Sintra/Lisbon/ Portugal. Very friendly staff - but that's also true of amost all of the local people - and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner too. The swimming pool was very nice and of course the view was stunning. We were only a short (if quite strenuous) walk up to the centre of the town with bars, restaurants and of course castles to visit. Sintra is wonderful but you must be fit and mobile.

This was the best property by far, that we stayed in on our Portugal trip. It 100% deserves a higher rating. Beautiful setting and decor, very spacious and well set room with large comfy bed (again comfiest bed to date) and incredible shower with plus towels (always a sign of luxury). The staff were friendly and helpful and have a great recommendation for dinner just down the road at a small local restaurant. We had one of our favorite Portuguese meals there. Highly recommend and would come back! Obrigada!!

LOVED THIS HOTEL!! 100 meter pool just above the ocean was fantastic for swimming laps, Bright large room with fantastic balcony on the top floor. You feel the ocean all night, really amazing. Great location near Adraga Beach, not far from Sintra, there's a lovely walking path above the hotel with cliff views and a great family restaurant also just above, free parking, great breakfast. Lovely staff. Great poke bowl + asai restaurant at the end of the beach.

Location was central to town while also being on a side street so it was much quieter. Super cozy bed which was cleaned everyday. Felt more like a hotel then a hostel, which is a plus to me:) lots of amenities, jazz music outside for dinner which was the perfect level of noise. Simple but convenient breakfast and knowledgeable staff. truly one of our best stays in Portugal thus far!

Good location in Sintra for exloring the palaces. Great room with all necessary facilities. However, the biggest draw are the hosts who are amazingly helpful, provide a host of valuable information to a tourist and are generally very interesting people to talk to. This is the best thing there is in staying in small private-run hotels - meeting real people. A real pleasure.

This boutique hotel is amazing. The view is the best in Sintra. The bed was so comfortable, the room spotlessly clean, large fluffy towels, very hot water for a shower, quiet, and delicious breakfast. Alexandra was a wonderful host.
