Probably the best resort in the Alps in my view. Constant snow falls (at least 1 per week) which enabled loads of off piste opportunities, amazing restaurants on top with great views, great connections between pistes and mountains. Snow quality is also one of the best I’ve had above 2200m. If touring is your thing, I don’t have the words to describe it. Just visit it once, you’ll love it.

It's a big ski area and there is a wide range of terrain to suit all abilities. However, connections between resorts are often limited - possible in one direction only or need to use a lot of lifts and runs to go a short distance, also ski trails i.e. not maintained pistes, which might be too much for less experienced skiers and low level runs which were closed owing to high temperatures at lower altitudes. This means touring between villages needs careful planning and may require buses to speed up sections and making sure not to miss last down-bound gondalas - bit of an anathema for downhill skiing ;(
I was surprised how expensive St Anton was - much more than other Austrian resorts and in the same ball park as the larger French resorts. Absurdly we found better food and better value in the mountain restaurants than down in town.
I would go there again but I'll probably explore other Austrian resorts first.

I have visited St Anton previously and enjoy returning to the challenging skiing that it offers. It’s is a charming town with nice restaurants and bars, but is not a rowdy party-town like some other resorts.

Great place for whine and dine.
Great place for whine and dine. If you got money to burn, here you can do it. Good but expensive restaurants.
Bodega tapas bar is recommended but be there before 7pm or reserve otherwise you need to wait in a queue. For simple Pizza there is Pomodoro at the beginning of Dorfstrasse. For watching a football match, go to Bar Cuba in Dorfstrasse. Many young people having fun there.
Home to one of most legendary apres-ski bars, the Mooserwirt. They close at 8pm, when you need to ski the last part downhill, no longer there is lightning on the slope, be carefull.

Great village with plenty of facilities including a supermarket right in the centre of the main street. Excellent choice of lifts from the village that take you to three different locations. skiing between the towns i nthe two valleys is great. Th eround trip from st anton to Lech and back has something for all types of skiers. Easy to get from the train to the village so no car or bus transfers coming from either Zurich or Innsbruck.

Plus: Pretty resort, easy to get around.
Plus: Pretty resort, easy to get around. Good choice of restaurants in the town . Good snow high up. Choice of apres bars, lively energetic resort. Nice accommodation choices.
Minus:
Not that well connected to other nearby resorts with flat runs that are not ideal for snowboards.
Slopes are busy, especially at weekends.
Run down to the resort is chaotic as everyone is crammed into run 52( black) as the blue has been closed most of the season. Signposting of runs is not great.

Everything was perfect, but especially the breakfast was exceptional with regards to the quality and choice of the food, service and location.
The SPA area is a a bit small but very modern; the heated external pool with view on the mountains is superb, and details like always having 4 different sorts of water at your disposal as well as different sorts of nuts and fruits is what makes the difference betwoon very nice and exceptional.
There is no restaurant in the hotel, but the restaurant just accross the street is really good.
Incredible location right in the center of town. The rooftop pool and sauna were a highlight, so was the delicious breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea each day. Not only that but there are two great restaurants attached to the hotel. We were able to store our skis free of charge in the Intersport which has a VIP entrance, and also received other perks like a welcome drink. Honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed at.
The service and people are fantastic, nothing was overlooked. The hotel itself is recently fitted out, has brilliant mountain views throughout, and the spa / pool area belongs in a 5 star hotel. We didn’t notice the distance to the ski lift at all as it’s a short walk down in your trainers (leave boots and skis in the depot down there) and then Max was always around for a drive back.
The charming hotel was decorated perfectly, with a keen eye for detail. It gives homage to mountaineering and the Austrian Alps. It was tastefully uncluttered and extremely clean. Our room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom and plenty of storage and a large balcony. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Monica at breakfast.
The communication from this property was absolutely superior to any other hotel I have booked since the moment of booking. They assured me of all my requests within a reasonable time and offered every accommodation (even advice) to make our needs feel met as a guest and ensure an amazing stay.
2min walk to the pedestrian zone and an eight minute walk to Galzig/Gampenbahn - far enough away from the louder bars and crowds, yet close enough to reach the skiing and shops/restaurants - witht he ski depot at one fo the rental shops, or at the hotel itself, you'll have the choice.
Central location, friendly staff, scrumptious plentiful breakfast, warm rooms, modern decor in an old Austrian style chalet with a fantastic wellness suite. Everything anyone needs for B&B ski accommodation. Storage space at Alber Sports beside the Gondola is a welcome bonus.
The apartment was very cosy and spacious. Lots of room for our family of five plus dog.
Kind and attentive Mooser Hotel staff was always available to cater to our every need.
This place comes highly recommended!
Great continental &/or cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Good Coffee. Egon, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable and a free ski bus stops outside the front door.
Fabulous and welcoming team, excellent breakfast. This hotel deserves 5 stars. Whilst it's not that close to the ski lifts, they have an arrangement with a storage facility right at the base of the lifts
Location : close to train station , to ski lifts and center of town . Very good breakfast friendly, warm treating stuff . Comfortable bed and all room amenities. . Differently, we like the hotel .
Very central location. Super friendly and helpful staff. Tasty traditional Austrian half board with a great Austrian wine list. Ski locker at the Alber Sport by the Galzigbahn was very handy.
lovely traditional Austrian guest house , the owners and staff so very friendly and always there to help out and offer advise .will return for sure . thank you Sylvia & Bernard
