There is so much to see, As a traveler from North America being in Europe it is even more overwhelming. Brugge seems to to have well preserved and updated the best of the past.
If I could have started again I would have made the bust tour first rather than last. This would have made it easier to get the most out of your visit. With the radial street layout it is difficult maintaining bearings and the bus tour would help with landmarking.

This is my favorite city in the world!
This is my favorite city in the world! Beautiful city center with a wide array of cafes, bars, and restaurants. Wonderful art and history museums. Climb the belfry; you'll be glad you did! Walking around town is very easy. There are many pet and family friendly hotels in or near the city center. Plenty of parking garages (always space at the train station if you don't mind walking back into town). Try Bones for great ribs. The Trappiste Bar for a huge beer selection. Delaney's Irish Pub for good pub food. De Haalve Maan brewery has great food and great beer! Schedule a walking tour to learn about the city and get off the beaten path!

Bruges has a charm all of its own.
Bruges has a charm all of its own. Stepping into the historic city centre felt like stepping into a fairytale from a bygone era. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the Blood Church, a stunning architectural masterpiece with a unique blend of Gothic and Baroque styles creating an atmosphere that is both solemn and breathtaking.
We explored the city by boat, gliding along the picturesque canals, we were treated to views of charming bridges, quaint cobblestone streets and centuries-old buildings. It was a perfect way to soak up the beauty of Bruges whilst learning about its fascinating past from a very knowledgeable guide who clearly had a passion for brewing!
The Salvador Dali Museum offered a captivating journey into the surreal world of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The collection of Dali's works showcased his genius and eccentricity, leaving me in awe of his surrealistic vision and untethered imagination.
Climbing the main church tower with its majestic bells was one of the highlights of our visit - (save up some energy for the climb). The panoramic views from the top were simply breathtaking, providing a bird's-eye perspective of Bruges and its surrounding countryside. It was a moment of serenity and peaceful reflection.
Bruges, a city of timeless beauty, rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality makes it a must see destination.

One of the most beautiful cities in Europe, but can get swamped by tourists during the day. For the best experience, get up early, or stay into the evening, when the hoards from the cruise ships and coach tours leave. Lots of bars and restaurants for most tastes, but like every tourist hotspot, the closer to the main square, the pricier and busier it gets. So do some research first, and check out other choices around the city.

I found Bruges to be a beautiful, picturesque town with interesting medieval history, good food, good chocolate and many places to visit. I would have stayed longer so I am certainly going back at some point in the future.
After viewing the film "In Bruges", we always wanted to visit the city. Staying in the room with the best view in town, in front of the movie location overlooking the canal is priceless. The building is historic so you feel like as if you were living in the past centuries. We loved the atmosphere as well as the staffs of the hotel, particularly Mr. Luc and Ms. Esra for their efficiency and kindness. The breakfast & dinner in such a beautiful dining room was excellent. Staying this hotel was just a magic!
We had a wonderful stay in Bruges, Belgium! The host was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay! Tourist attractions, shops and restaurants are in walking distance from the apartment. The nearest supermarket is like a 10 minutes walk (or less) which is convenient. The room was nice and the WiFi was good. Everything looks just like the photos posted here on Booking. Parking on site is convenient, just have to pay extra which is fine. Definitely recommend, thank you!
Great location (walking distance to the historic city center) and we had a room with canal view which was nice. The room was exactly as pictured, beds were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and always willing to help or answer any questions. We booked their garage (as we arrived by car) which is some 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall great place to stay if you want to see Bruges attractions
The room for 2 was actually 2 adjoining rooms with 2 queen beds! So spacious, very comfortable rooms, good, firm beds, they even give coffee and tea, welcome chocolates and a bottle of Belgium beer! Great location, near train station and near town centre. You never see any staff tho, no one at counter or at the breakfast room. But they respond quite fast thru the app. Defintely recommend this place.
This hotel has a very nice manger/owner. The location is perfect, walking distance to all the sights in Bruges. Great customer service and they will take care of any needs visitors may have. A very nice breakfast is also available. The hotel also has secure overnight bicycle storage, so its idea for touring cyclists. I would stay here again. 5 stars
The location was beyond perfect for our two night stay in the center of Bruges. Parking was not part of the hotel booking, but the facility was close and inexpensive. Access to the sites and activities in the Market was steps away. The room was very nice, comfortable, and clean. The staff was a delight! Great price for the stay.
The room is basic, but ok for a short stay. Probably the cheapest hotel in or around Bruges (expect hostels). If you are passing through, or if you wish to attend a football game (the stadium is within walking distance), it is well suited. It looks a lot like an American motel, so don't expect a typical hotel.
The best aspect of this hotel was the breakfast. It was very good. The location was about ten minutes walk from the centre square of Bruges so not too bad but we would have preferred something closer. The ground floor reception, bar and breakfast area were nicely appointed.
In the beautiful city of Bruges, very close to the center, the small hotel was a gem. Paul is a generous host, the room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Everything was at our taste, breakfast was very nice and overall a place I would stay again in the future!
An outstanding and magical hotel in the heart of Bruges
A city Icon
Breathtaking view on the breakfast
Rooms are all furnished with antique and art pieces
Excellent service and staff / free coffee
Location can not be better
Best hotel to stay in this charming city
The hotel is in a very strategic area in the center of Bruges, there are a lot of restaurants and shops around and it is very easy to reach. The room was very spacious with kitchen area and a big terrace. In the bathroom there was a big tank and a modern shower.
Location was perfect, staff was very friendly, and our room could not have been nicer. It was the best sleep we had during our entire 10 day vacation. We’ve already recommended Hotel De Castillion to friends that are visiting Bruges. What an amazing experience!
Room very comfortable, bathroom/shower was excellent. Breakfast was continental style, but plenty of choice and coffee, in pleasant dining-room. Best feature with this Hotel, is the location. Only a 5 minute walk into the City Centre.
The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, next to a canal and just 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The room was very clean and spacious !
All members of the staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was very nice as well!
This was a great location and the best boutique hotel I have stayed at so far. The location was great everything was walkable.
Breakfast was great every morning! Had a great time staying in Bruges. Totally recommend it.
A very well appointed hotel with a great bar. A short walk from the city centre and all its attractions, bars and restaurants. We did not have breakfast in hotel so can't comment on food
Very stylish, quiet, and comfortable hotel that is a very short and pleasant walk from the center of Bruges. Excellent restaurant, very complete breakfast. I will definitely return.
Room was really comfortable, breakfast was amazing ! The hotel is really well located in Bruges, we were so close to everything without truly being in the center
