Stately Stuttgart is friendly and green. Surrounding the city are tree-lined hills, while in the centre is the ‘Green U’, a series of parks and gardens that make great picnic spots.
The city’s focal point, Schlossplatz is a huge square with a tall column marking the entrance to the New Palace. Dating back to the 10th century, the city’s Old Palace is just opposite and its square is the site of the Stuttgart Christmas markets.
In the Bad Cannstatt area of Stuttgart are mineral spas, the 2nd largest in Europe behind Budapest. Just south of here is what the city is perhaps best known for – its car industry. Head to the architecturally-impressive Mercedes-Benz World for a spiralling walk through its history. On the opposite side of the city is the Porsche Museum, also worth a look.
Always something of a pioneer, the city erected the world’s first TV tower. Go to the top for amazing views. Other interesting Stuttgart attractions are the planetarium, and Stuttgart Zoo, housed in the Wilhelma Palace, built in Moorish style and once home to royals.
Before heading to Stuttgart Airport from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or B&B, make sure that you try some local Swabian food. The brezel (pretzel) originated here and makes a very tasty snack.

I've never seen a german city with more confusing roads and walkways 😄 It's like a city planner was on steroids. However the city is quite versatile and offers a lot of activities. Great for families, great for single persons. If you like to discover Stuttgart by bike: bring you muscles - a lot of hills there 😄

Stuttgart is currently under major construction to beautify it. At this point it was not pretty or inviting - maybe in a couple of years time when they get ahead it may feel more welcoming. Poverty is clearly an issue as it was prevalent throughout the city. The old city remnants are harder to distinguish and need revamping. Transport is good but two days is more than enough.
The malls were clean, tidy and provided a good selection of food and beverages.

Went to break up trip between Strasbourg and Nuremberg while visiting Christmas markets. Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the market was. Definitely one of the best. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the nicely, creatively decorated chalet rooftops. Food choices were very good and the vibe seemed a bit more authentically adult. I recommend a stopover in Stuttgart.

Love the many pedestrian only areas, the restaurants, and the shopping! Also, many great parks and the Zoo. Also easy to hop on trains and travel to other towns - we went to Esslingen and also to Strasbourg FR.

There is more to see than thought.
There is more to see than thought. Locals were amazed that we had come as tourists. Also many good eating places, not just coffee and cakes. Architecture a mixture - some classic (restored), some bland and modern (Town Hall), no real Aldstadt, but lots too see.
Several very good art galleries.
It was a beautiful hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very large as we had acsuitecwith living area. The food in the restaurants was great. We tried all of them. The piano bar was so much fun, beautiful and the staff was exceptional. We wish we had been able to stay longer so we could've tried the spa and sauna. Next time !! We highly recommend staying at the Meritim in Stuttgart Germany. We will be back. Thank you for making our stay so nice.
The hotel is close to the main train station and not far from the city center. The staff was great, helpful nice and patient. However we didn't have breakfast because we think that 24 euros for breakfast is really ***! Instead we went for coffee and Brötchen to a cafeteria we found at Königstrasse, it's run by the catholic church. But our stay was great and Stuttgart is a very interesting city.
The hotel is so much better than what you would expect from the outside. The location was good, close to the main station and the city center. Unfortunately the main station is under construction, therefore very messy, but it is not the hotel's fault. The staff was nice, the 2 ladies at the breakfast were exceptional! The beds were extremely comfortable, the hotel was very clean.
Stylish hotel close to the main station and within walking distance of downtown Stuttgart. The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean, the big windows with cushions are a plus :) Room is small (as usual for Motel One) but very functional with lots of options to place or hang your things (hooks on the walls, clothes hanger, etc.) Perfect for a business stay or city trip!
It’s in a walking distance from the city center (about 15 minutes), close to the Stuttgart train station, close to the S-bahn, U-bahn, bus station. I could say it is a cosy and warm 4 star hotel, with big clean rooms, with a spa, a pool and a gym (access included). Our stay was super nice and I could also mention their positive attitude towards protecting the environment.
Emilu Hotel is located in a perfect spot, just behind the City Hall and within 10 -1 5 minutes from all attractions in city center. This is a perfect spot if you want easy and walking access to the city, proximity of public transport (5 0 7 min walk to the subways/trams) and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Place is cozy, quiet and comfortable.
Choosed that hotel because of secure parking. Location is very good and easy to access city center by car.
Next to the hotel, There is shopping mall. this is also plus.
Cleaning was important for us and rooms was definitely clean. I can definitely consider to choose again this hotel if they solve negative points.
The hotel is comfortably located in a couple of tram stops from the central station and city center. The room was clean and had brand new bathroom, even some special things for ladies were available. Good enough breakfast with various food and drinks. Hotel is easy to access even at night by self check-in.
Actually much nicer than the reviews say, especially for the cheapest hotel in Stuttgart. Old feeling furniture but neatly kept, the room was not stated to have a balcony but it did :)
The pillows were indeed a bit worn, I had two to myself since the double was so cheap and slept really well actually!
Well, Stuttgart is still my hometown, so I knew I cannot go wrong with this hotel. Quiet location, access to Strassenbahn or S-Bahn to town, we even walked to downtown. Super friendly and helpful staff, awesome breakfast. Big nice rooms with minibar. Super fair price
Property is located in the forest just next to the road which is giving you an easy access to Stuttgart. In around 10 min without a big traffic you can be close to the city center. There is also an easy access to Porche and Mercedes-Benz Museums.
The room was comfortable and fresh. The booking code was comfortable even after the reception was closed. The location was good but quite distanced from Stuttgart city center (it was not a problem for me but it could be an issue for others).
The hotel is conveniently located by Stuttgart HBF, and off the main shopping street. The room was clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was great, though the selection was a bit limited. The staff were polite and courteous.
This modern, updated hotel was nice place to stay while passing through on our trip through Germany. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good. Free parking in their underground parking garage was especially nice.
it's not a fancy hotel in the middle of the city center - but it's a great place if you know what to expect.
local hotel, family like, with extremely nice and friendly stuff, 5 minutes away from the train station
Clean, modern and comfortable. A lot of space in the room compared to most European hotels. Tea and coffee in the room, iron, hairdryer and USB ports to charge devices. About a 20min walk to downtown Stuttgart.
The hotel is in good location. Not very close but not too far from the city center. The bed and bathroom is comfortable. I really like that the hotel is in a peaceful and calm area. And the staffs are friendly.
Location was perfect. It's right in the city center and close to the metro station. Will definitely choose this hotel again when we're back to Stuttgart.
