I love Caherdaniel. The beaches are amazing and once the sun shines you could be anywhere in the world. Even without the sunshine though the place is fabulous and I can sit and watch the sea for hours. Derrynane beach is great for walks and right at the end of it is a fantastic house in the shape of a boat built into the rock. A fabulous sight to see.
And another 10 min drive on the other direction is the lovely historic Staigue Fort

I have so many fond childhood memories of Caherdaniel, it's a beautiful area full of amazing beaches and walks. I try to go back every chance I get. I love going to Daniel O'Connell's house, and walking the grounds. The tour is also worth checking out for any history fans. You really need to have a car to travel around the area, or a bike and a fit body to ride it. We ate at the Blind Piper which was very nice, but there are a number of other places within driving distance.

Derrynane bay house is situated just outside the village of Caherdaniel. It has a lovely view of the bay and surrounding mountains esp from the breakfast room. Lovely people running the B&B also. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts delicious with a great choice offered. All residents were nicely spaced out in the breakfast room due to Covid regulations.
The location of the hotel is fantastic really close to many places to visit with two beaches nearby. Stunning views from the restaurant. The staff is really nice and approachable. Facilities, breakfast was tasty and with a lot of options to choose. Open and guarded swimming pool. Good restaurant for dinner.
Great location. Good amenities such as washer and dryer. Lovely walks nearby including an Ogham Stone and wonderful beach nature walk. House is roomy and good for a family. Owner Michael is very responsive and easy to contact. There’s binder with helpful information on the house and local travel.
Beautiful view of the bay from the rooms and bar area. Staff very friendly and helpful. The name of the hotel was misinterpreted as being close to Derrynane beach when it is actually an hours walk from the hotel, perhaps 15 mins by car, we walked on both occasions.
