It is just such a beautiful place. Maybe not so suited for elderly or disabled people because there are a lot of stairs down to the vibrant area of the port and beach where most of the restaurants and bars are located. We had wonderful meals and drinks in great bars and loved sitting close to the water to eat our meal !! There is a little shuttle bus that can take you down from the top to the bottom but it only goes once an hour!

Very hilly withy difficult driving. Suggest renting an automatic car.
Eze was worth a short visit. We ate in a bistro just down the ro0ad from the hotel. Getting around is NOT easy. It would be better being lower down the mountain to make walking more possible

It's a beautiful area and there are several cafes and restaurants to choose from.
Lots of interesting walks and also lovely beaches where the sea is calm which is great for children.
Recommend Plage La Mariniere for young families.
Unfortunately, Hotel Villa Patricia is not recommended- until there is a change of management. Terribly unprofessional manager at the moment (September 2023).

The place you want to live in if you love the city but also love to be away from tourists. Of course you're going to see tourists all over the French Rivera but Ville Franche-Sur-Mer has this vibe and energy I cannot describe, but it's just something else. It's magical and lovely.

What a fantastic village on the Riviera!
What a fantastic village on the Riviera! We loved the accessibility to everything, and gorgeous old town. The restaurant scene was exactly what my family was looking for (we travelled with children ages 11 and 5). We chose Villafranche based on reviews of the sandy beach at Plage de Marinieres, which did not disappoint!
My family did rent a vehicle, and parking was fairly easy for us. There is a large public (paid) lot down by the beaches that offers easy accessibility to the old town and restaurant scene. I'm not sure our experience would have been as thorough had we not had a car to take us to different areas. The walking around the village is more than some may like due to the elevation (for long periods of time), and the bus schedules can vary. Also, Villafranche is quite central to many desirable areas on the east side of the Riviera, and was great for day trips by car. We also visited St. Paul de Vence, Old Town Nice, Eze Village, Menton, Monaco, and even went into Italy one evening for a meal.

Maybe one of the most beautiful towns we visited in the south of France or anywhere for that fact. Wonderful views, narrow streets, high end restaurants but also excellent cheap restaurants.
It is a must visit for anyone in the area

This hotel is just wonderful! I'm so grateful we were able to stay here during our first trip to the French Riviera. The location is PERFECT for getting around for day trips. The rooms are very current and comfortable, and the pool and hot tub are A+ with great views toward the sea. The breakfast is prepared by the owners and very tasty! Great variety. Be sure to include breakfast with your stay and you won't be disappointed.
The garden was lovely and I was able to leave my luggage under the hotel in a utility room while I went to breakfast and waited to check into my next destination. I was asked to check out by 10:30am which I did. But while waiting in the heat of the day in the garden, I noticed that another room did not have to vacate until 12-13pm. I wished I'd been able to stay in the A/C rather than melting in the outside heat.
The property was horrible. The pictures look much better than the actual hotel rooms. There was no hotel lobby. There was no television. The closet didn’t open. The lightbulbs were burned out. There was no safe.
I ended up walking out and staying somewhere else. I am very disappointed in the hotel and in booking.com. I only wish I could get my money back because I did not stay there within five minutes.
Classic holiday hotel with lounge and patio. Perfect for unwinding after a day out. The lounge has a turntable or Bluetooth speakers and a small bar, bookshelf and genial staff who will create a cocktail. Guests mingle some nights and you can put on some music. They have an excellent breakfast that's worth the price. One block from the Octroi busstop for the #100 bus from Nice or to Monoco.
Hotel is in a great location, if with car there is a car park, if without a car, public transport is great. Local bus, 1euro, takes you in 20-25 minutes to Monte Carlo, or the other way to Nice. Villefranche old town is less than 15 mins walk, beach is few minutes away. And the views are great, Mediteranean at its best...
This is a charming and historic hotel run by 3rd generation family. We got a top floor room facing the sea harbor and the cliffs to the west. It was basic, serene and delightful. We could have paid 30 euros more to have a sea view, but we opted to spend that on a nice meal instead : )
Parking near by is free.
Excellent location! Short stroll to the public bus that takes you to Nice, Eve, Monaco. Gorgeous views of the sea and yachts from your private terrace with overhang for shade. Lovely swimming pool with view onsite. Fully stocked lounge bar
available, with ice for beverages on your terrace. Loved room 3!
It had a washing machine, nice kettle and toaster. Bed was comfortable. right at bus stop which was good. we took the bus to Monaco and to Nice. parking lot (paid) not too far away. Fabrizio, the agent, was very friendly and spoke English. he gave us some good suggestions of places to see and eat.
Very close to : beach, train station ,bus station restaurants, shops. Best location for a vacation. New and good quality of furniture, comfy bed, Szonja was very friendly and helpful. You have also tourist book, equipment for the beach ⛱️
Fantastic views very clean. Staff were so helpful all the time. Excellent restaurant. Really good location. Breakfast excellent. I do not know why it has a low rating it doesn’t deserve it. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
The Location of this apartment in beautiful Villefranche sur mer is amazing! Sunny in the morning with shutters to keep you cool 😎. An amazing view minutes from the train station and all the restaurants and bars 🍸 👌
Well-equipped apartment located in between Villefranche, Beaulieu, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Multiple beaches are within walking distance, and a good supermarket is a 20-minute walk. We enjoyed our stay!
The owners and the staff were most helpful, thoughtful and kind. Breakfast was perfect. The hotel is clean and comfortable. It deserves more than 3 stars!
