Cite de l'Ocean was an amazing VR experience, we had a joint ticket with the Aquarium which was also good. You could easily spend half a day at Cite de l'Ocean. Biarritz has some grand buildings and would have great views on a sunnier day. The view from the lighthouse is stunning, so worth the climb. We enjoyed the Musee Asiatique, everywhere we visited catered well for British visitors. Buses were easy to use, we found lots of great Basque restaurants.

Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and monied high-class living. Many of the shops certainly cater for this sort of visitor, but there were plenty of what might be termed 'ordinary' tourists, who could enjoy the stunning vistas and beautiful locations along the coast. Don't miss the Port Des Pecheurs.
It is very easy to achieve a day trip to San Jean De Luz by using the (exceptionally cheap and easy to use) local bus service (Txik Txak) that operates in the region.
The town never felt overrun, nor underused. The beaches are very clean and well managed. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with prices for every pocket.
Also, the footprint of Biarritz is pretty compact so that those without mobility issues are able to explore and spend time in the well-ordered shopping locations, the public gardens and the cafes and restaurants.
A special mention for the beautifully turned out (covered) market: well worth a visit and a stop for coffee, pastries or crepes.
Finally, the ocean creates great conditions for surfing, an activity clearly enjoyed by the locals as well as visitors.

Biarritz is a beautiful town with so much to see.
Biarritz is a beautiful town with so much to see. A perfect mix of incredible nature and city. Walking paths along the cliffs by the beach provided some exercise and exceptional views. Never ending pastry shops, cafes, bars were appealed to the culinary senses.
We had an outstanding stay! The staff is young, dynamic and extremely welcoming. The location is perfect for a quiet, yet luxurious stay, within walking distance from the city center and only a few steps from the beach and the Biarritz light tower.
We had one dinner, favoring local and regional products: excellent! Breakfasts are generous. The underground parking garage features excellent EV chargers. A very strong recommendation!
Accomodations in Biarritz are overall quite expensive. This hotel is a good compromise. Located in a very nice and central spot, just next to the town center, and a few minutes walk away from the beaches. We found it not so difficult to find a spot to park the car in the surroundings, and a covered parking is located just nearby. Our room was tiny but clean and confortable. Very friendly and helpful welcome/reception.
Excellent boutique hotel, staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, croissants very plump and tasty. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the park and it was great. Definitely would book again if returning to Biarritz. Location was great, close to restaurants and main shopping streets and the beach but far enough away from the evening crowd.
The hotel has been newly renovated. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the bathroom products are furnished by Nuxe. The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful. Beautiful terrace with a nice view. The hotel is very close to the beach and the center, where you can find many shops and restaurants so it is very convenient.
The location is wonderful, easy to find, near the city center and the ocean. The facilities are great, the bed is comfortable, the room is quite small but compact, very clean, reminds me of Japan hotel. The concierges are wonderful, very friendly and easy going. If I plan on my next trip to Biarritz, will choice the same hotel.
stunning building, located 25 minute walk out of the city in a lovely residential area.
meticulously decorated, was an old horses stable part of building.

Fantastic staff, most helpful and this stay was lovely. Small boutique hotel of class and Elegance.

Beautifully appointed boutique hotel in the heart of Biarritz. Lovely welcome from Maeva. Walking distance to everywhere.
The room was perfect for a three day stay. Comfy bed. Excellent bathroom and shower. We loved this hotel and would gladly stay again.
Room with sea view was roomy, comfortable, luxurious towels and other amenities. Location was perfect. Our stay was worth the higher price as the hotel and grounds are spectacular, and the personal service is above and beyond most other hotels.
Perfect location for experience Biarritz. Near all relevant beaches, restaurants, café and a lovely food market just outside of the hotel. The view from the hotel is astonishing, looking out to the Atlantic ocean.
First of all, I wanted to book a hotel room via booking... but it seems that Bellevue 766 was included in my research by mistake. The apartment is well located, convenient, and when we arrived, it was spotless.
Sea view 5 stars hotel, well done, all perfect and with style. We loved the upgrade to the sea view room for our one night stay. Great hotel, old school atmosphere in a modern way
Very charming boutique hotel with a lovely hostess. A homely charm with personality which we can recommend for travelers who get tired of ordinary hotels!
