The welcome was very friendly and helpful.Perfect if you want to be in the centre of Arras.
We had dinner, there is a set menu as well as an individual menu. The choices are limited, a choice of 3 starters/3 mains and the same for desserts but the food quality is excellent. You can have three courses, several beers/4 large glasses of red wine for €100 for two people, excellent value for money. The rooms are spotlessly clean, bed very comfy. The breakfast again excellent and huge choice, it’s buffet style but everything from fresh fruit/ yogurts/ continental/sausages/bacon/scrambled eggs/pastries. Endless coffee/juice etc.

We love Arras.
We love Arras. It's a shame we only ever stay enroute while travelling to the South of France. We've decided that we will make a proper holiday in the city in the future and take time to enjoy this vibrant place, as well as exploring the history and the WW1 battlefields.

The town museum.I am born there,so I know! Many good restaurants,but we eat by the Christmas market. The main reason for our visit was to visit the Christmas Market which is one of the largest we have seen. At other times of the year there appear to be plenty of other places to visit and activities in the city or surrounding area. Arras has two beautiful squares - the Grande Place and the...
Arras has two beautiful squares - the Grande Place and the Place des Heros. The architecture is beautiful and the belfry and museum are very interesting. As well as some great shops, there's a very extensive market on a Saturday morning each week. At the moment there's a large and varied Christmas market each afternoon and evening. The surrounding area is of particular interest for details (and cemeteries) from the first world war. The centre of Arras isn't large so it's easy to walk from place to place.

The rooms are not particularly big but you only sleep and shower in them so they are fine for us; the bed sheets and towels were clean and the room was quiet overnight. We had the breakfast which was also great, a choice of teas as well as coffee and a nice selection of jams, cheese and hams to eat with the baguette and croissant we were given. The hotel was also very close to the centre of Arras which was very pretty.

The apartment is compact but very comfortable, functional and well equipped for our 6 day stay. Parking is also provided which is a real bonus in this inner city location. The hosts were friendly and were always contactable. We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Fred&Vir.
