The staff was impeccable! Mario greeted us and was very accommodating, he helped us with directions, how to get around, called for luggage porter and even checked on tickets for the Blue Grotto. The breakfast buffet was a huge spread, so we had dinner at the hotel both nights with live music! Highly recommend the filet and eggplant parm fabulous! The wait staff is fantastic, from David, Fredrica, Jonathan and our Sommelier. We loved having wine on the outdoor restaurant patio and balcony of our room, the view was incredible and gorgeous at night with twinkling lights. Mario upgraded our room because not many people this time of year, the room and the view was phenomenal, it was everything you imagine Amalfi coast to be!

One of the most stunning places I've ever visited.
One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. Relatively unspoilt as it's difficult to reach and very expensive. Felt like an exclusive holiday location. Colourful buildings springing out of the hills, beautiful climate and STUNNING flora and fauna. All in all, one feels like one has been dropped into paradise on earth. Visiting in April is to be recommended as it feels neither too hot nor too crowded. I can't sing its praises enough. Travelling can be tricky if you have older people in your party - almost every route around the town involves steep steps. Spoilt for choice in terms of eating - we didn't have a bad meal. Shout out to Il Capitano (higher end) and Il Fornillo (slightly more reasonably priced). Recommend day trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast (from Positano to Maiori), boat trip to Capri and Anacapri, and Sorrento.

Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.

Everything was closed during Dec, no where to eat and only few shops were open, spent 3 nights and it was too long with no where to eat and not much to do, walked daily for spectacular views!
Lots of stairs to climb and I would definitely avoid coming December-March.

Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer...
Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer when we could use the beach. Stairs ! Stairs! Stairs! I didn't believe it until I seen it with my own eyes how much stairs there are. If you have trouble with stairs or walking Positano could be a difficult area. Luggage is also difficult to carry around here, and there is only 1 major road and if your not staying at a hotel on that road, there are alot of steps to get there.
We loved everything about Villa Magia. The concierge went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, arranging transport and luggage pickup, making lunch and dinner reservations, and all around ensuring we had a great stay. The facilities are great and the view from the main terrace is the best in Positano in our opinion. We liked that the hotel was accessible to the center but not right in the middle of the crowds, and our stay felt very relaxing. Also highly recommend their terrace restaurant Luna, excellent menu and again great service.
The views here are unbeatable. It’s also located a short walk from the Positano internal bus stop and the intercity Amalfi Coast bus that runs from Sorrento to Salerno. The breakfast pastries were lovely and the family that runs the hotel are the picture of politeness. As a solo traveller, I found my room to be quite spacious. It also had a beautiful terrace with the same view as the upstairs main terrace, where breakfast is served. The walk downhill to the piers and the town is also lovely.
The Hotel is right above Fornillo beach, which is a short, lovely walk from the main part of Positano. This means you get to escape the crowds of Positano - which are ridiculous during the day with all the boat tours. Each apartment has a lovely terrace so you can sit and enjoy the 180 view of the beach. It is best reached by Ferry as the nearest public car parking is a good 10 min walk down (and up) steep stairs. If you come by car, then only take with you a small bag of necessaries!
Not enough good can be said about this hotel. It is a five star experience from start to finish. From the knowledgeable staff to the unbelievable accommodations (view/cleanliness/fresh flowers in the room/breakfast/overall beauty), this hotel will be hard to beat. My wife and I remarked that no hotel we have stayed in on any continent (particularly the ones labeled as "5 stars") were as nice as what we experienced here. We were treated like a king and queen. Thank you, Villa Yiara.
The hotel is beautiful and has simply stunning views! It was my 30th birthday so I'd asked for the best room in the price range I booked and staff were happy to book an amazing room with a balcony and views of Positano. The breakfast is amazing, not a big selection but everything was fresh and tasty. The room was really spacious and we loved the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom! The hotel also has a private beach area which is great and isn't too strenuous of a climb from the port.
The room was incredible and modern. The view from the room and the terrace are breath taking! Everything was very clean and Valerio our host is an amazing person! Everything was well organized and Valerio helped us a lot with coordinating our transfer and recommending the best restaurants. We also stayed in other hotels in Positano however the service and hospitality we received at Terrazza Zaffiro was the best. We are looking forward to come back to this beautiful place.
BEST ACCOMODATION IVE EVER HAD. If you stay in Positano, I HIGHLY recommend you stay here. Although the stairs up to the hotel are a bit much, that is my only small complaints and the views are unbeatable. They serve you amazing breakfast and have great dinners. The staff really makes you feel at home and provides a great welcome. This stay really hit the home run and I cannot recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be back and for longer!!
Booked a very last minute room in this amazing hotel. The staff is super friendly and they even gave me an upgrade the moment I arrived. They were overall super helpful with all my wishes and requests. I honestly think it is on the best location of Positano, next to the church and super central. The view is amazing and the rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely come back and would recommend this to everyone!
The Location is Excellent and I also Loved The Italian Lady Rosa she was straight up Italian very little English but Firm and Funny we got along great helped me with everything. Rosa is the best part of that place hahaha .. The Location is expensive don't expect any 5 stars a great place because of the Location right by the ocean I would stay here again
The hotel deserve to be 5 stars. My room had a full view on the sea with a big balcony. The bed was so comfortable, our room was well decorated with a bottle of champagne waiting for us. All The personnal were so nice so kind and was helping us to carry our luggage from the stairs of positano. They made our stay there memorable.
Grazié mille.
We really enjoyed the location of the hotel, right on the Fornillo private beach, which is not as crowded and loud as the main beach in Positano.
We enjoyed also having breakfast on a beautiful terrace with a view towards the sea. In the evenings, the restaurant of the hotel serves one of the best food in Positano. Definitely recommend it!
This is the most beautiful place to stay. We got married here and it was so wonderful to go back and visit. The villa is stunning, every detail is so special and the views are the best in Positano. The food is also the best we have ever had in Italy thanks to Chef Nick! Everything is wonderful I could not recommend it more.
Staff was lovely and helpful,
location is great, walking distance from any point in Positano - many steps and ups and downs walks,
but thats how Positano is.
Restaurant in the hotel is one of the bests(for dinner).
thank you !
The size of the room was good and the on site parking was great, the views from the hotel is not the best in Positano but everything in Positano is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpfull
The room was spacious and beautiful!!! Best views in Positano from our balcony. Also Francesca at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Perfect hotel to start our honeymoon!
