Enjoyed the thermal baths and the valley of beautiful women, but the castle museum was a bit of a letdown. Definitely wouldn't spend more than one night here, but could even just pass through it for a short visit on the way to somewhere else.

Eger is an incredible location to visit! It has it all! From historical sites to thermal baths & wineries. Something for not just all ages but also budgets. We over heard people talking about an excellent restaurant at the citadel and indeed 1552 restaurant was esquisite!

We made the mistake of coming during the winter, we really wanted to enjoy nature in the mountains and to visit the national park. Due to weather conditions we couldn't do much and the national park was closed. The steam train nearby was also closed. It's a cute village to visit, i bet it is more beautiful during spring/summer/autumn.

We could easily stay a month every utensil and the larger toaster oven plus microwave made cooking a breeze. Super cute decor we are both 5 ft 11 and 6 ft 3 and bed worked fine comfortable. We could see the castle from our room,basically was on the same street, so as the Minaret, location was spot on. We didn't book breakfast but they accommodated us without a problem, food was good for the price. The inner garden is absolutely beautiful. Room was spacious, clean. The lady there is kind and really helpful. We highly recommend this place to anyone who like to visit Eger.
