The reception staff (Abdel Fatah and Mohamed) were very welcoming and helpful when I arrived, and upgraded me to an apartment overlooking the Marina, so I had a beautiful view of the boat activity, and actually enjoyed the singing from a club below- noisy, yes, but a great vibe. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate for me, and the waiter (Amr) made sure that I had everything I needed. The beach was close by, and there was easy access directly to a vibrant coral reef, which was far more colourful than I expected. What's not to like?!

We had an amazing stay at Pickalbatros Hotel in Marsa Alam! The hotel offers a lot of facilities, including several restaurants with a variety of delicious food, especially the grilled options. The coral reef and swimming pools were fantastic, and there were plenty of activities to keep us entertained. The room service was excellent, and the Aqua area was truly wonderful. We enjoyed a fantastic holiday here. The hotel is also conveniently located near the airport and Port Ghalib Marina. Additionally, the hotel provides ramps everywhere, which was very suitable for our baby stroller. There is also a professional clinic with doctors who provide excellent service. During our stay, our baby had a fever, and they provided great care for him. The staff was outstanding, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Everything you could possibly want and need was provided for within the grounds, even a doctor which we needed for our daughter.

Port Ghalib was a small port town that has transformed into a touristic place. Not much to see, a nice marina and a small promenade. Famous restaurant/club "Hakuna Matata", led by Polish owners, attended by known artists and bands - worth coming by. Few cafeterias and souvenir shops and that's all.PawełPoland - 10Scored 10

after dinner is nice to take a walk to the port and stop to drink at the bars. enjoy the nice climate and and listen music. visit the many shops along the inner streets. where you can find parfums souvenirs of every kinds. all people you meet are sociable but non intrusive, the walk is always pleasantly interrupted by these stops in which the various products are offered in a kind way.

To resume those wonderful 7 days in Port Ghalib Marina Resort, I would say it felt like home. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, the room was tidy and clean every day, provided with very good food options, the space at the reception is gorgeous specially at evenings before dinner with live music. I will definitely go back. The beach with the coral was so amazing to me, that I couldn’t get out of the water to enjoy the rest of the resort, such as the swimming pool, gym and other facilities. I felt part of the family at the “Wonderful Dive”. A big shout out to some members of the staff: Ibrahim from the reception, Fahzer at the towel desk at the beach always so careful, Antonio from the Italian restaurant, and so many more who showed professionalism, kindness and dedication in the past week. I see you all very soon. :)

Large and beautiful hotel.
Large and beautiful hotel. Public spaces, pool, bars, restaurant look gorgeous and luxurious. Food is OK compared to other Egyptian hotels. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very close to the Marina complex with some shops, bars and restaurants. Apart from the beach, pools, water sports and diving there is not much going on in Port Ghalib and surroundings.

Room was nice, clean and a good size. Softer pillows were provided on request. Cleaned well every day. Drinks - alcohol; spirits of poor quality so stuck to (very weak) cocktails, wine which was just ok and beer which varied in quality. Fresh squeezed orange juice and good coffees available for breakfast. Food was ok, a wide choice although little different from one restaurant to another. Pools good, beach ok for sunbathing and paddling but for several days plagued by sandflies - not the hotel's fault but we had to abandon the beach for two days as they were quite bad. Staff were good making a real effort to be friendly and helpful. Reps selling spa treatments and trips were too persistent, and the line "where are you from?" became very old!FraserFrance

If you’re planning to do diving from Port Ghalib then Marina Residence offers the best possible location for your vacation stay. Currently many of the neighboring hotels are closed resulting in many of the restaurants and bars being shut. This impacts the holiday feeling a bit but also offers an experience of exclusivity having all that space with only a few people to share. The good places are still open so there still is sufficient choice of you choose to go out for a drink or a meal.FrankNetherlands
