Huma Hotel:
Lovely and peaceful hotel with great spa and gym facilities. We were greeted pleasantly, all staff were super friendly and helpful at all times. You can tell that employees, the cleaners, maintenance, front of desk, concierge and restaurant genuinely care about their customers, and they all made us feel very welcome. At the arrival we were upgraded to a premium room which was very well received. Great cocktails, and beach area out front to a very clean and private pebble beach. Drink services are available at the beach. They have a new bar and restaurant area being built on this beach which is due to be completed in June. Once finished, it will be a great addition to an already top notch hotel. It's a quick 5 euro taxi from the old town or a roughly 30 minute walk. We really enjoyed Kotor and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Huma Hotel. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

We loved the staff first of all. They were so sweet and always in for a nice conversation which made us feel right at home. Also the breakfast was the best we had during our 10-days trip past several hotels. Everyday they served great dishes with a big variety. Also the location of the hotel is great.

Kotor is cute little city, beautiful bay, impressive mountains, really really good seafood. Also enjoyed cute little bars in the city. We walked up the fortress which is pretty solid 60minute hike uphill and 30minute downhill, it’s hard cardio but it’s worth it the views are amazing.

Kotor is a well preserved historical city with an impressive fortress wall stretching up the mountainside. There are a few interesting churches. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Some of the restaurants outside the old city walls are fine dining. Kotor attracts large cruise ships, so the town can become inundated by large groups of tourists.

We loved it, but if you don't like cats don't go!
We loved it, but if you don't like cats don't go! They are everywhere, I've never seen so many in one place in all my life. We found it really heartwarming how well they were treated by both the locals and the tourists. Food stations and little beds for them in the park. Wonderful! Kotor is a stunning old town, full of history and the scenery is breathtaking. We stayed for 4 nights and that was plenty of time to do the all things we wanted. Any longer and we may have been a tiny bit bored, as its such a small place. I would definitely recommend for a short break though.

Kotor is a beautiful walled town, very clean and full of delightful shops, cafes and restaurants. Very busy when the numerous cruise ships tip their passengers off to take a tour. The church bells ring out giving a wonderful atmosphere. Cats are in many areas with a charity-funded neutering campaign ensuring lots are well fed and cared for.

We were in Kotor for adventure and loved the trails and mountains.
The fortress is interesting but you need to be fit to manage the climbing.
The Old Town is interesting and easy to navigate around.
A lot of restaurants however most are serving very similar menus, wine lists are much the same and the local drinks options are really good both in quality and price.

It's great for a relaxing, time in nature or just general down time. It's got everything from water to mountains to trails depending on your interest and the time of the year.
Personally, it was great for some relaxing, down-time. I visited in shoulder season, where it was too cold to get into the water but perfect in terms of (less) crowds and ease to get around.
Kotor Old Town is simply charming, to trek through, to walk around or simply to enjoy a quiet evening with great food. It's lovely place to visit any time of day.
I would highly recommend a visit to Kotorska Suvenirnica in the Old Town. It's got a unique mix of souvenirs. Just ask for Marko he's an Encyclopedia of information and just a delight to talk to. We spent so long in there just talking about all the different souvenirs from cat magnets to olive oil, Christian saints, world maps and Murano jewellery.
The area in general is serene. A walk by the bay side and a good seafood lunch Konoba Portun restaurant, was the highlight for me. There are a number of lovely places. This was the only one I tried. And I loved it.
Other things to know:
The city is known for its unique cats and its love for cats.
Djir Taxi App is the best way to get a local taxi and get around.
In general, most people are very helpful and friendly. But that's also because they are mindful about hustlers - so best to do your research on prices and cabs.
I felt truly privileged and lucky with the choice to stay at Apartments Doncic. Brilliant location, in the area of Muo, at the same time short walking distance to the Old Town Kotor. Apartment fully equipped, clean and fresh, the owner very helpful and responsive. Mini beach in 2-3 min walk. Felt like living a local life in a village, away from hustle and bustle, and groups of tourists. The most amazing was the view to the Bay Kotor, could admire it every single time. Highly recommend place to stay while in Kotor and Montenegro! 🇲🇪😎
The location is quiet and has a view of the Bay of Kotor. The staff are all exceedingly friendly and eager to make your stay comfortable. When I pointed out that the shower wasn't draining well, it was fixed within the hour, and the person who came (one of the family who have run the hotel for decades) noticed that the sink faucet was spraying too widely and immediately fixed that as well. The breakfast was excellent too. There's a tiny gravel beach across the street for an end-of-day swim as well.
Goran is a wonderful host and made me feel so at home from the moment I arrived. He also helped me arrange my travel to my next stop. The apartment was great, even nicer than the photos and had everything I needed. I spent a lot of time admiring the view from the large private balcony. The old town is only a 10 minute walk away and there are two supermarkets at the bottom of the hill. I thoroughly recommend Kotor and Apartments Lazarevic.
The location is brilliant, less than 5 minutes to the town and old town walls. It is very spacious, comfortably fitting all 6 of us. The living areas had plenty of seating. The host was very decent, spoke great English and gave us plenty of ideas for day trips. All in all, a really good place to fit a large family and well placed for visiting the sights of Montenegro.
I stayed in Montenegro B&B in Kotor and also in Budva, both are placed in great location inside old town. I like the hostels very much, atmosphere there is really great, owners are very nice and helpful - they are also running travel agency, so they can offer trips and transfers in very reasonable prices. I recommended Montenegro B&B a lot!
The hotel is incredibly central, right in the middle of Kotor Old Town. It's a nostalgic hotel with very beautiful decoration. The balconies with mountain views are extremely good. The staff are very helpful and accommodating.
We were really satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again if we return.
Antika guesthouse was absolutely perfect for our first visit to Montenegro. The room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed.
Location was amazing - in the heart of the old town and the staff at Antika couldn’t be more helpful.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip & Antika Guesthouse was a huge part of this.
The apartments were clean and well equiped. It has everything you need except washing machine. The host is super nice. Payment can be done by card. There is a supermarket nearby and several very nice restaurants. Kotor old town is in 20 min walking distance, bus station and hikes are in 30
The most charming flat u will find in Kotor! The apartment is awesome, two floors, the bed extremely comfortable, the place is spacious. Location couldn’t be better! A dream to be inside the old town and near the best rock bar of Montenegro! The host was super nice, helpful and kind.
This hotel has a lot of facilities - pools, a very big gym, spa and private beach.
Location is not bad, a few minutes drive from Kotor Old Town. Rooms are quite big
The fine dining restaurant is great but expensive.
Breakfast is good and available for a long time.
Wonderful view. Becir Aga made our stay very comfortable. The room is wide enough, clean like 5 stars. The view is wonderful. Near to everywhere, (old town, supermarket, mall, shore). There is not any option for hotel in the old town, apartments are most common.
Very friendly and welcoming host. Gave us good advices for meals and is knowledgeable of the history of the city and Montenegro. Perfect stay for multiple days, walking distance from good restaurants and the old town and far enough from the docked cruise ships.
Spacious and good layout for a small family. The development still feels new and fresh. Life saver of an AC in every room. Dedicated car parking space protected by a gate. Walk from the old town is a bit hilly in places, but this seems the norm for Montenegro.
Location is perfect, it is beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of old town. Nice stuff always willing to help. Excellent breakfast and lunch. Room is big, stylish and comfortable. This place is highly highly recommended.
This hotel in some eyes would be considered basic, I found it charming. Spotless clean, good size room beautiful period room with exposed brick. Perfect location in old town. Very much enjoyed my stay
Lovely location with beautiful views of the bay of Kotor! Easy accessibility to a variety of restaurants and the old town. Excellent service and a friendly team catering to all requirements.
Great location in old town. Only a short walk to get a taxi to go to Port Montenegro. About 15 euros. Any time day or night. Small convenience store for water ect 5 minute walk
location is good, 5 minutes walking to Kotor old town. There are several grocery stores near the hotel. Delicious breakfast. Spacious room with a kitchen and dinning room.
This is a great little hotel in the heart of old town Kotor. It looks beautiful both inside and outside. We enjoyed a great breakfast out in the courtyard.
