Situated on Vis Island in the small fishing village of Komiza in a bay is the Komiza Provita Guesthouse. It offers air-conditioned, bright studio apartments in a stone-built guesthouse.

The apartment is compact but adequate if you're out and about in Komiza most of the day. The pictured view is from a shared rooftop, not a private area. Nonetheless, the vistas are stunning, and Komiza is incredible.
The family-run Kuljis Villa is situated in the centre of Komiza, right across from a pebble beach. The hotel has a small private restaurant and is situated 100 metres from local cafés and eateries.

We loved that everything was nearby and that we could come and go whenever we needed. The landlady only speaks Croatian but the landlord was helpful and spoke English as well. Good for the price.
Boasting a garden and views of garden, Apartments Mali Raj Komiza is a recently renovated apartment located in Komiža, 400 metres from Zanicovo Beach.

Very spacious, comfortable and attractive apartment. The kitchen was great to cook in. Miroslav was super helpful, arranging for a scooter rental and providing advice on tours.

A quaint little town on the west side of Vis Island, reachable by bus. The pier is nice with great restaurants and lovey beaches nearby. Plenty of tourist agencies to organise your activities. I recommend Pizzeria Charlie in Komiza!! We went there to eat twice and the food, the staff, and the service were 10/10

Beautiful town, loved wandering the small alleys and greeting the local cats(which all looked healthy and taken care of!). Loved Lucica and Gusarica beaches right in the town and if you are up for a hike, Plaža Barjoska beach was lovely too. We didn't do any of the tours from Komiza as we were saving money, and still had a fantastic time. Enjoyed eating at Fabrika (they have plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian options) otherwise was a bit disappointed in the other restaurants. Easy to get to Vis port by bus to then catch the ferry to Split or Hvar (look out for dolphins!).

Fantastic little old town on a mysterious and stunning island of Vis. It is best for families and couples that want to chill and enjoy many small beaches, few bars and few restaurants. It is also great for nature lovers as there are many hiking opportunities, nudist beaches, biking trails, diving, and so on.

Very nice place for holiday, nice restaurants.
Very nice place for holiday, nice restaurants. I recommend lunch at Konoba Koluna. Try komiška pogača (traditional fast food dish) at Tajer. Try nice traditional wine - Plavac or Vugava. Also recommend Amesboat trip to the Biševo island and climbing to the Hum peak.

I have been going to Komiza for 20+ years of and on as a child and now with my own kids. I would highly recommend it to anyone , specially families with kids. It has great beaches. It can get crowded because it has now been discovered by the world ( Mama Mia movie ) and everyone wants to vacation here.
The only thing that bothered me was the large yats that are parked everywhere which does take away from the feeling you are in a small fishing village in Dalmatia and makes it more of a vacation "hot spot" .
At the end, the beauty of Komiza makes it all worthwhile.

We were there in early June before high season.
We were there in early June before high season. It was still quiet in comparison to mid summer according to the locals. We liked it that way!
We ate at Konoba Barba on our last night and it was delicious.
The ice cream at Charlie is delicious and the people generally are very, very friendly!
The apartment is a hidden gem inside another beautiful place - the town of Komiza. The location is perfect, 10 steps away from the habour with a lot of restaurants, bakeries and cafes around. The apartment is furnished with anything a traveller might need (a well-supplied kitchen, a washing machine, fast internet and etc.). Andrea was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived late and she was there waiting for us, and always ready to help with anything we need.
Probably one of the best location you can get in Komiža, first row old stone buiding with impressive sea view from most of the rooms (we had the smallest acomodation for two persons and view was breathtaking every morning). You can fall asleep with the sound of the waves. The owner Tanja was very polite, the place was very clean. A beach nearby (Lucica) was our favorite place to swim, dive and refresh in nice beach bar with fair prices.
We had a great stay at Dina apartment, cozy and rather convenient place as it is close to the sea, restaurants, cafes, shops and beaches (there are several beautiful beaches you can reach on foot). Our host Vjeko is a very nice, helpful guy, always there to help you with anything you need. All in all, everything in Komiza and island Vis is fantastic, we are coming back for sure! This place is highly recommended :)
Comfortable and easy. Right across the street from the sea. Christina and Vinko were helpful, kind and gracious hosts. There were homemade dishes for us when we arrived. They helped us with where to go around the island and made phone calls to figure out bus and boat schedules when there was a change due to a holiday. We had a wonderful relaxing stay in Komiza!
We loved everything; the wonderful view over Komiža and the Adriatic, the spacious and clean room and most of all, our host Linda was incredibly welcoming and took great care of us. Vis and Komiža are great for a relaxed vacation on the beach or you can explore the island and participate in different outdoor activities. We did both during our stay :)
One of the most beautifully appointed rooms I ever stayed in.
We met the lady owner, and she is truly wonderful.
Hearty breakfast is included, and was great.
Now, there is no other place to stay in Komiza after staying in Koluna.
Restaurants are at the doorstep, so everything is nearby.
Spotlessly clean and neat.
Unbeatable location - directly opposite Lucica Beach, and a couple minutes from Komiza town. If you get the room with a balcony looking over the sea you'll get sunset views, and listen to the waves while you're in bed.
The host is lovely and had recommendations on beaches and restaurants in the area.
The location of this place was perfect! Close to the promenade and beach but in a quiet local neighborhood. The apartment was tastefully decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed as far as kitchen equipment as well. Would love to stay here again on our next visit if available.
Very friendly owner, makes you feel welcome. The location is very beautiful. Room is a bit tight, but the island is so beautiful that you won't spend much time there anyway and the room provides everything needed. Would definitely recommend to go here when you visit Vis.
Lovely little apartment in central Komiza. Right in the centre and less than one minute from the sea front and restaurants. Everything we needed in apartment. Small, but perfect, terrace to sit and have coffee. We were met by the host on arrival who was very helpful.
The location is great, with a beautiful sea view from the terrace. You have 3 minute walk to the nearest beach Gusarica and 5 minute walk to the center of Komiza.
Miroslav and Mirjana were fantastic hosts, always available to provide the information you need. 🙂
We stayed 2 nights...what a lovely place Komiža is and our apartment was perfectly located...200mts from everything. Excellent service from the host. They kept communicating with us and provided us with information as needed
Mira Sea Front Guesthouse has a really great location, just on the edge of the historic part of Komiža. Our room had a lovely sea view, and, although cozy, it had everything we needed for a short summer stay.
Loved the location—convenient to the center of town and beaches. Beautiful views of the gorgeous water out of both rooms we rented. Absolutely love the town of Komiza!
