In the southern part of the village of Tsagkarada, on a hill overlooking the sea and the village, is the Diogenis Hotel.
The hotel is built in a rustic style and the rooms are really pampering. We rented a triple room and a double room. Both were beautifully designed. The double bed is designed as a four-poster bed. The interior design of the rooms is even more beautiful than the photos on the website.
Chrisa and her husband (the owners of the hotel) run it at the highest level.
We felt it was not just a hotel but a home.
Chrisa and her husband helped with every request and question, spoiled us beyond any expectation. Always made sure we felt comfortable and safe.
The beds are big (even for tall people like me) and the mattresses are very comfortable.
The breakfast served is just great. The fresh bread baked every morning, pies, omelets, salads, spreads, cakes, cold and hot drinks and more. Everything from fresh and high-quality raw materials. Definitely at a higher level than breakfasts in 5-star hotels.
The whole hotel and the rooms in particular are very clean.
The location of the hotel is excellent for anyone who comes with a car because there is a lot of parking (unlike in the villages), especially for a large car.
Set amidst a lush garden with stone-paved pathways and seating areas, Filoxenia is located in Tsagkarada Village, just 50 metres from local taverns and mini markets.

Our stay was just amazing, the owner is so lovely and nice, made us extremely feel comfortable and welcomed. Our room was warm and cozy very comfortable, pretty big and with a small kitchen. The view from our window was amazing, the wifi was very good. Its just about a 15 minutes drive from the beaches. We could only stayed for one night but we would have happily stayed more

Wonderful, unique and special house under the large olive grove with the absolute view. Our a room was spacious, had a balcony and was nicely decorated and the bathroom quite big. Quiet serenity for all seasons. The owners are always close to you and will generously offer you their hospitality.

My favorite place is the square with a church and another square with the old plane tree. Every restaurant and cafe is very nice and romantic. This place is more for couples and people who wants really to relax. Clima is fantastic, you need about 30 to 40 minutes to the really nice beaches. You need a car here. I will come next year for sure.

We loved the secluded pebbly beach and the small port.
We loved the secluded pebbly beach and the small port. Visiting the huge, antique tree in the center of the village is a must. There are many good places to eat in Tsagarada, especially goid Aleka's restaurant. A little on the expensive side, but worth it! There's also a grocery store with all that you need. With a car, it's easy to get to everywhere , but the holes in the roads have to be fixed. We had a wonderful time, just wish it was longer.

We stayed for a week.
We stayed for a week. This is a fabulous area for walking, it’s really beautiful. The accommodation was very attractive and comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted. I will always remember sitting outside our villa and watching the sunrise over the Agean. Added to this the staff were exceptional - Vassily provided a wealth of information about the area, and its restaurants and was always available to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The girls who cleaned did a fab job too. We hope to return one day.

It's so beautiful.
It's so beautiful. I walked every day in the local area and all of the restaurants provided great food and amazingly friendly and helpful service. I would strongly recommend this area, but I'm so glad that's pretty undiscovered and unspoilt. The surrounding villages and scenery are amazing and you get a pick of great beaches everywhere - my personal favourite was Damouchari for it's chilled out vibe and there's a beautiful walk from Tsagarada to get there.

Charming traditional macedonian village with good climates, good escape from summer heat. Romantic plane shades and stone church. Food is amaising, try Apalou restaurant in Tsakgarada and fish taverna Aggelika on Mylopotamos beach. Staff will help you to choose food for your taste. Grat atmosphere and great view from Aggelika
Great tranquil location. The hosts are very friendly and stay downstairs (you don't notice them but it is very useful in case you need something).
From the villa you can have a short walk to a very nice square and great restaurant, or go in the other direction to reach the town center.
Although there was no AC it was cool enough in the rooms. Otherwise the villa was very well equiped, had a splendid view of the sea and overall was a great base for exploring the beaches from northeast Pelion
We were there during the storm, and Mari, the owner really looked after us. She made sure we had everything we needed including food and water when we couldn't leave the place due to the bad weather. She did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and warm even if we couldn't enjoy the landscape around us. We were lucky to be there during the storm. Our room was big and clean, breakfast was great and on normal days- the place is close to great restaurants and beaches.
My 2-night stay at Diogenis Hotel went really well. The room with balcony and sea view was amazing. I was very well received by John the son of the owners. He took the time to tell me the places to visit nearby. He agreed to do some laundry for me (I travel in a campervan), that was very helpful. My towels were changed once. I didn't have breakfast. Great value for money. Thank you for your wonderful welcome and your little presents ! It was perfect!
Lovely apartment with a living room, well equipped kitchen (we cooked and loved it), bathroom and balcony, and a bedroom in a gallery with about 10 steps. Excellent location, 6 minutes from the Milopotamos beach, 20-30 minutes from other beaches and attractions. Beautiful view. There was a cute ginger cat asking to get in. Laundry machine on the premise. John was very friendly welcoming us to the apartment and was easy to reach out to.
A very spacious home with en-suite bathrooms in all five bedrooms, wonderful pool area and grounds, and astounding views. The host, Popi, was very gracious and helpful. Two very good restaurants and a beach are about a 15 minute walk down the road and the village of Tsagkarada is a 15 minute drive, with more good restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and a wonderful town square. Overall, a magical place and we highly recommend it.
The location is great and very close to all attractions in Pelion. The room was great and the view was amazing!
The host Christa is super kind and welcoming! When we arrived they welcomed us with cakes and cookies in the room, we had also a coffee and tea so it was very nice. Also, the breakfast was above and beyond our expectations- all vegetables were from her garden and everything was so tasty!!
The view is magnificent! The location is very good as the house is in the middle of Mylopotamos beach and the central area of Tsagarada. Many options for walking paths into the wild forest of Pilio! The house is very spacious for a country house and fully equipped. The heating was excellent. And of course the host, Mr. Papadopoulos was exceptionally helpful to all our inquiries.
The location and the setting of the hotel are awsome and have the local spirit. The staff were nice and always helpful. The cleaning regular. The furniture was a bit outdated but OK. What definitely deserves a change (in our appartment at least) are the mattresses which were fairly uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we definitely enjoyed the stay and would like to come back one day!
Nice, clean room with a good bed. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was tasty, the portions were huge and there was a different item each day, including hand-made pastries, jams etc. The location is a bit hard to find the first time (situated on a steep upward road) but really close (less than 10 minutes walking distance) to one of the village's squares.
The property is great, Mr. Giorgos has made an amazing work with the buildings and the garden. The house is near the square of Tsagarada but at the same time in a very quiet neighborhood of the village. It is all you want for relaxation and peace of mind! We visited during Greek Easter and we can not even imagine how amazing it will be there durinf the summer time!
Service was 24 hours and the breakfast they offered us was delicious and in quantities. Great room, clean and comfortable. Cleaning service was frequent. The internet was fast and free in all venues of the guesthouse. Parking was definitely a plus, enough for everyone. Distance from Mylopotamos beach was short (by car) and we will definitely choose it again.
We had an excellent week long getaway to this beautiful area . The property was like a home away from home . It was luxuriously comfortable . George ( the host) is fantastic peron and ensured we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay . Plenty to do nearby ( but you need a car) with some nice beaches, treks , mountains and restaurants to explore
An intimate hotel with a homey atmosphere. Spacious rooms designed in an authentic way that matches the atmosphere. A well-kept yard with a spectacular view, the breakfast is perfect thanks to both the delicious food and the view. Every morning a different delicious surprise at breakfast, Nikos the host prepares it himself just a pleasure.
Everything about Arnica Montana was great.
The hotel is located near the center of Tsagarada and also very close to Mylopotamos beach.
The room was very comfortable and also really beautiful.
The owners and the stuff were really friendly and helpful.
Will be back for sure!
Extra tip: You have to try dinner @ Dipnosofistis
The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel, abundant with fresh, local produce from the extensive garden. Weather permitting, we sat outside and looked out on the Aegean. Beautiful!
Overall, we were very well looked after by our hosts and the local people of Pelion.
The stuff were absolutely amazing! They were very kindly and help us with everything.
The location of the hotel is 5 minutes from the center of the village (by driving) but closer to the beach.
The room is very clean.
Kleopatra is the kindest woman ever and her guesthouse is as beautiful as she is on the inside! It’s gorgeous, comfortable, and beyond welcoming. We will never forget Kleopatra or Pelion!
welcome, suggestions from owner to discover Pelion, garden of the house , breakfast, close from center of the city , close from the beaches , central position to start walks ...
Perfect accommodation, beautiful setting in Pelion, in the mountain of the Centaurs, but you see the sea beneath, lovely hostess, lively and with a great sense of humor.
Very nice & unique hotel. We were 8 people & loved our staying.
The stuff was great and very helpful.
The sea view was amazing.
We loved the breakfasts.
