The whitewashed walls and narrow streets of Mykonos Town are the highlights of the island and why cruise ships are frequent visitors to the port harbour. The town is the tourist centre of the island and has all the shops and restaurants waiting to serve the many visitors to the island. Disembarking passengers from the cruise ships flood the small town adding to the vibrancy of the place.
If you are on the island for more than a couple of days, a return boat trip to Delos is certainly worth the effort. As is the fun boat trip connecting the old and new ports, which runs frequently throughout the day. Special mention also for the Mykonos Brewery which offers an entertaining 1 hour guide to beer production at their brewery.

I recently stayed at Mykonos Bay Resort & Villas and had an amazing experience. The resort is a perfect blend of traditional Cycladic architecture and modern luxury, offering breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure every aspect of my stay was perfect.
The private beach with its pristine sands and crystal-clear waters was a highlight, and the resort offered plenty of activities to explore Mykonos. Evenings were spent enjoying the vibrant nightlife, with the comfort of knowing I had a peaceful retreat to return to.

Beautiful city with a personality of its own.
Beautiful city with a personality of its own. Many options to shop, from local souvenirs to luxury brands. Variety of restaurants and bars. Prices are not so high if compared to other cities in Europe (London or Barcelona), considering this is an island. There are options for tours (we took Delos and Rhenia and it was great) and to go to other islands by ferry. The beaches are really nice, specially Elia y Agrari (car rental recommended).
Might feel a little crowded during high season, considering Mykonos town streets are very narrow and the island beaches are not so large.
We came in low season (May) and it was really nice, although the weather is not so sunny or hot (21-22°C in average).
One thing the island is missing is sidewalks; although people walk on the road and it seems drivers are used to that, it is still scary (we stayed in the "New Port" area, called Tourlos).

Peak season will definitely make this town more lively with more shops open. We came during early April, and the beaches are empty (which could be great if you prefer to keep the beach to yourself). The drive around the island is interesting as most roads are narrow with hills. Recommend to go with the full insurance option if it's not expensive as precocious. There are water taxi options to transport to another beaches, and I recommend that over driving if driving is not your forte, and you want to party.

Mykonos City, the vibrant capital of the Greek island of...
Mykonos City, the vibrant capital of the Greek island of Mykonos, is a picturesque blend of traditional charm and cosmopolitan allure. Whitewashed buildings adorned with colorful shutters line narrow cobblestone streets, creating a postcard-perfect setting against the backdrop of the azure Aegean Sea. Explore the iconic windmills overlooking the harbor, witness the bustling activity of Little Venice's waterfront cafes and bars, or wander through the labyrinthine alleys of the Old Town, discovering hidden gems at every turn. By day, soak up the sun on clean beaches. Mykonos City is a destination that captivates with its beauty, energy, and irresistible charm.
Since before getting in I realized that Dimitra was very responsive: she booked our transfer from the airport we got in very late at night. The room was amazing had a balcony with a very impressive view of the Mykonos bay. The place is very nice decorated and very well maintained. She runs the hotel with her family, speaks very good english and she is always available for everything you need, she set us up for nails, hairs, watch the sunset, boat tours ....I couldn't ask for more. Better than a 5 stars hotel. Loved it!!!
The room was really cozy and clean, the view at the balcony was awesome! It is not on the main street of Mykonos so I had to walk always to get to the downtown but it took only 10 min and it gave me really calm and silent nights. If I was in the main district, I think it could be noisy.
And the staffs were super nice! They did their best to help their guest. It was so grateful that they picked me up from the port and brought me at the airport!
If I travel in Mykonos again, of course I will choose this hotel again!
A hotel whose price matches what you get! Everything was perfect: the room was spotless (cleanest hotel in my two weeks spent in Greece), a well-stocked mini-fridge, coffee maker in room, Bluetooth speaker to play music, incredibly comfortable bed, and the breakfast was DIVINE. No matter how you ask for your eggs to be cooked, they will be done so to perfection. Thoughtful touches in the room like two firm and two soft pillows on the bed and shower knobs pre-set to warm. Staff are absolutely wonderful!
We stayed for one night on our way to Paros and had a very nice time at the hotel Calistus. We were welcomed by Fotini at the reception desk who was very kind and provided helpful information as to what to do in Mykonos and how to easily get to the old town. The room was pristine, large, and decorated with taste. The view from the balcony is simply amazing! Quality mattress and bedding too. Everything was top notch and I would gladly come back and recommend the place to friends and family.
the location is excellent if you are planning to go to the down town, walking distance about 5-10 min but on returning back it Is a steep elevation and always in Mykonos the road are tight so you have to watch the cars, the sunset view is Stunning , the swimming pool is small but it is enough to chill, the best thing I enjoyed in the hotel was the friendly staff , I forgot their names unfrotuantely because of my bad memory, but all of them were very lovely
Location - only 15/20 min walk into Mykonos town.
Hotel staff - the staff at the hotel are amazing, they all made the holiday for us. We have a five year old and the staff were great at keeping him entertained, and suggesting family friendly things for us to do. Special mention for Vasso & Calliope for being super nice!
The rooms- we had a junior suite with private pool. The room were really nice and the views of the sea were just amazing!
Pictures don’t do Cloud Blue Justice, from pictures it looks like a renovated traditional home. In reality it is a brand new contemporary house with a traditional vibe. The rooms are clean and spacious, super spacious versus hotel rooms in Greece. Spectacular views, comfortable common areas and a location that is a short walk to the action but quieter than being downtown. Ion our host was very helpful and made sure we were always comfortable.
We stayed for 3 days in a beautiful clean and modern room with all the amenities described. Antonia was extremely kind to us, providing transport from the port and to the airport. And a welcoming kit in the room (food/drinks/masks etc…) Location is amazing, at the entrance of town close to main bus stops, car and moto rentals and all shops/bar/restaurants. Overall better experience than most 4-5 star hotels we have been at.
Petros and his staff were wonderfully attentive and kind. The place is stunning. Beautifully designed with everything you need. Breakfast was a feast laid out on the little private patio table. Felt like 5 star luxury. Just fabulous. Brilliant views of the sea and overlooking mykonos town. But far enough to be peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. The sunset was magical.
This hotel exceeded my expectations! Located close to the center- just a few minutes walking distance but at the same time quiet and tranquil. The view is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast is hearty and the staff is super attentive and helpful! The excellent service you receive in a 5 star hotel- you will get it in Pelican for less expensive price!
The location is great, 5 minutes from the mykonos town, from the old port, from amazong beach agios stefanos, the hotel itself is new, gorgeous rooms, all the hotel area is so beautifull, great view. And it's all about the small details, welcome basket, super tasty breakfast, the service is the best, all the staff are so friendly, helping.
The room is just like what the photos presents. And the location is the best. Easily walking distance to the town. If you carry a big luggage, you can reach the hotel easily via taxi or car.
Special thanks to the owner. He helped me when I suddenly found I lost my passport. This is a warm and relaxing hotel.
Location just off main streets in old town ,yet peaceful hidden away in a side street.Nice terrace to relax, seconds away from shops and bars.Pleasant courtyard serving excellent breakfasts.
Intimate family run hotel.
Clean.Minutes away from old port and little Venice.5 min walk to bus station.
The location was overlooking the sea. It was right between the Port and the town. The room was lovely. The staff amazing. The meal we ordered from room service was the best we've ever eaten!! Breakfast was delicious. Can't say enough great things about this hotel and the staff.
Everything was so perfect. The personal was so helpful and polite. The rooms were neat and cleaned plus had a beautiful style. We were in the middle of the main town with amazing shops and restaurants.
And the bakery was right in front of our hotel.
Love it!
The location was great. The property was near, but not inside the main town. Exactly as I wanted.
The staff were super-duper friendly, and always had time to talk, if you wanted.
Hotel was always clean, and very Covid aware.
I would definitely return.
This hotel has a beautiful outlook over the sea, it’s also close enough to walk into Mykonos town. The family run this hotel, it’s very clean and they provide a lovely breakfast that you can enjoy taking in the view.
