The location is spot on. This is one of my favorite places. The housekeeping staff are the most beautifully kind people, ever. The front desk staff are also very friendly. There is no other place in Canmore where you will get this kind of value for your money. Every other place in Canmore is exceedingly over priced to the point of gauging. Free parking, kitchen facilities, great location...it's definitely not hidden but it sure is a gem!

I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea.
I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year.
Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too.
Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat.
A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside.
Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)

Canmore has everything one needs for enjoyment and necessities. It is close to both Banff and Kananaskis Country for skiing, shopping, biking, hiking, lots of dining options, historical sites…and more. There is something for everyone! If you like being independent, opportunities for self-guided activities abound. If you want guided tours, there is everything from dog sledding to heli-tours, rafting to mountain biking…hiking to yoga. It’s the best value for the money spent! And the scenery is unbeatable.

So much to do and see with Canmore being your base.
So much to do and see with Canmore being your base. It’s an easy quick trip to Banff without the hoards of tourists that are in Banff. Canmore has a cosy downtown with lots of activities in the surrounding area. It’s a great area to stay in!
Visited Grizzly Paw Brewing Company, Murriettas and Bridgette. All had great service!
Stayed in private owner suite at Solara. Young child friendly pool and huge hot tub area. Has a small restaurant and a liquor store.
Twilight Soak at Nordic Spa in Kananaskis area was fun and relaxing!

Canmore is a great little town right in the heart of the rockies. It is very close to Banff, without the cost of staying right in Banff. It is close to many outdoor activities for both summer and winter. Both Lake Louise and Sunshine Village ski resorts are within an hour. There are lots of hiking opportunities with some even starting in town. We have enjoyed many of the local restaurants, and there is a lot of variety to please any palate. While it can sometimes get busy, it is easy to get around and easily walkable for most people.
2nd stop of our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, we spent 1 night at The Georgetown Inn.
What we liked:
+ Great base for exploring Canmore and its surroundings (Bow River Loop, Grassi Lakes, Policeman's Creek Boardwalk, and many more)
+ Very comfortable bedding
+ Superb room, extremely spacious and well-organized
+ Helpful receptionist who advised us on local trails and kindly provided a bear spray
+ Pleasant pub within the hotel with decent food
+ Excellent value for money
Room was clean, well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. I booked a micro suite because there was just myself and it was plenty big enough. Allocating parking is the best! I have stayed in Canmore before at a busy time and returned to my hotel to find there was no parking. Your room number is your parking stall and it works perfectly. I have stayed here twice now and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.
The morning breakfast was plentiful and hours of food service were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Pocaterra is Pet friendly a plus, however charging $25. Per night for a 6lb. Dog is excessive. They provided dog bowls which were too large for our pet, the dog bed was an old hotel blanket, so we feel that does not warrant such a charge.
A nice sized pool and water slide, more family oriented.
If you want a hotel different from any other in Canmore, stay here.
Quiet location, beautiful view, spacious room. We stayed in room #7.
Cosy outdoor seating space, a well-tended garden, delicious home cooked breakfast included. Staff friendly and helpful. A highlight was their granola, which can be bought onsite.
Check-in was fast and easy, the room could be accessed right from the outside, which was convenient as we were travelling with a dog. The hotel staff kindly allowed us to leave our car in a vacant spot inside the court-yard for a few hours after our check-out while we spent some time exploring Canmore itself.
The hotel was very comfy and newly updated. We had our dogs with us and had a little patio door to let them out of. Room was spacious and I liked the setup of the room for luggage. The location is great - close to downtown Canmore and 25 minutes to Banff.
The room was a great size. The facilities where great. I loved having a washer dryer in suite.
Bed was comfy and the separate shower and bathtub was a treat.
The restaurant attached to the hotel is great!
Locations good, not far from canmore Town.
The hotel is located closer to doantown Canmore. It is also close to many attactions, such as Canmore museum , and Geoscience center, etc. In general, it has a spacious and comfortable room, the friendly staff, and the convenient location.
Spacious condo, also comfortable beds, and looks just like the pictures. It’s right in the middle of downtown Canmore where we could access shops and restaurants by foot and only a 23 minute drive to downtown Banff.
Location was great only a short drive to Banff or Canmore.
Secluded which meant it was quiet but still close to the trans Canada highway
Host was very helpful and staff there went above and beyond to help
Location, location, location. This hotel is right at the centre of Canmore. Brand new renovated/upgraded rooms. Super comfortable and clean. Can’t really ask for more. Easy online booking and checking out.
We used the swimming pool at the adjoining hotel lots-
Nice to have that. The room was well appointed- we could have eaten every meal if we chose to in the condo- had everything we needed.
it was clean and a great location, near restaurants and a grocery store. About 20-25 minute drive to the town of Banff. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and reasonably priced.
This accommodation was the last available option under $250 within one of Canada's most visited tourist areas. I was excited that we didn't have to pay $400 for a hotel room.
