It was dirty. The floors were dirty, the bed linens were dirty and there was a spider web at entrance. No ability to gain access to property without calling to let us in. Very strange property. Not really a hotel.

I was super happy to have stayed at Fireflies and will stay thee again if I have the opportunity. The hot breakfast was wonderful. We realized that we had not packed tuques for early mornings of the kayak trip. Long weekend, and stores were not open. The owner supplies us with 2 tuques. That was so helpful.

One of favourite places in the world, as an multi and mixed media artist and photographer, fisher and hunter, in l;ove with wonder and wandering, campbell river and area have never failed me.
It seems to be having growing crime issues, and social issues are very evident in the streets. Generally people are quite friendly, happy to point you to the things you need and may want to see and do.
Thank you to the First Nation communities for the great teenagers raised who gave me some very succesful fishing tips. Respect or the aging is so appreciated.

They people are generally friendly.
They people are generally friendly. There are many places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a cultural variety of dining options. Getting around the town can be tricky for a visitor, so GPS is a helpful tool. I suggest you avoid the hospital, it would put a damper on you vacation.

I love Campbell River mainly because our daughter and our granddaughter live there but also because it is a beautiful location and close to Quadra Island where we have spent many holidays at the First Nations campsite at Rebecca Spit.

Had a fantastic stay at Campbell River.
Had a fantastic stay at Campbell River. Our room was huge with a large balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful timber ceiling. Loved watching whales, otters, geese and seagulls whilst we ate breakfast, sipped on drinks at the bar or over dinner. Beautiful property. So peaceful. Drove to Gold River. Amazing road with beautiful scenery. This is real wilderness. We just loved this area

Nice place for a staycation.
Nice place for a staycation. Went for a performance at the local theatre. Stayed one night. Easy to get lost, very spread out. But scenic, hills and lots of trees. Nice waterfront shopping area. Tried Potstickers, very tasty.

must admit have difficult time reach beach in quite a number of areas but a very lovely town to visit. the one evening had an excellent dinner at Moxies and the service was excellent. also had a really good fish and chip dinner across from the docks ( sorry can't remember name but if you ask around they come highly recommended!)
Any of the businesses (be clerks or owners) were so friendly and helpful. Most appreciated!
A real must is a visit to the museum found it was truly interesting due to the focus on Native art and history of Campbell River
I loved the fact that the staff went above and beyond to put my room only a few doors down from my daughter and her partner so we were able to visit easily in the rooms when we weren't out exploring and hiking the beautiful nature walks. Also the pier and water in the ocean right in sight of the lodge was so awesome to look at! Also nice that breakfasts were included! And the dining area at night had delicious food as well!
The inn was fine but we were delayed at checkin for nearly 2 hours as they had NO record of reservation for our room or our friends room, (res made separately by them).! Hotel staff had no rooms and called lots of guests to find two rooms that were reserved but people were not going to show up. HUGE HASSLE, MISSED DINNER, WONT WANT TO USE BOOKING. COM AGAIN. Ideally located the heart of Campbell River, restaurants, ferry and shops are within walking distance or a short drive. Friendly staff made check-in a breeze, thought the early morning front desk staff had to be interrupted from personal conversation in order for us to check out. Room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, there were no issues with our stay.
It's just a great hotel and the value for money is uncomparable in Campbell river. Right on the water , views are phenomenal. Food on-site, free buffet breakfast. I stay in Campbell River alot and if they are fully booked I go to another island town, hands down the best in campbell river for views and value !
Campbell River Lodge, as its name implies, has a river frontage, and the delightful setting allows viewing of the salmon, seals, herons, and other nature. The room is fine but very dark and could do with updating, but the location, staff, and surroundings are first-rate. At the price, it's very good.
Comfortable, modern room with a glimpse of sea view. The hotel is beautifully set on the coast road, a pleasant 20 minute walk into downtown Campbell River. The area is fascinating for its walks, salmon fishing, sea and river views and experience. Loved it.
Fabulous views of the waterfront and our own little outdoor sitting area. Bed was super comfortable and extra comfy pillows provided. Great location within walking distance to the show we were doing to in downtown Campbell River.
A friendly host to give advice about Campbell River. A comfortable room with good inclusions. Quality linens and toiletries. Plus a nice but distant view to the sea. We enjoyed breakfast and chatting with the other guests
The back of the property backs up against the Campbell River, and the view from the balcony is very nice. The room was large, clean, and spacious. The host was very helpful in giving suggestions as to what to see.
What breakfast? We weren’t told about that. If you need more than 1 key there’s a deposit. Not enough plug ins for today’s gadgets. Would definitely do more research if I ever need to stay in Campbell River
Amazing view! Loved watching fishing boats right in front of our patio. Nights were so quiet even though the hotel is right on the main road. Great breakfast included. Free parking.
Good central location on Highway 19 in Campbell River. View out window overlooked the River. Enjoyed a walk along the River bank. Room was clean, staff very friendly. Good value.
the hotel is beautiful inside with great art and thoughtful features. you walk in feeling like you’re a a resort and you leave feeling the same. a great hotel experience.
