Clean, comfortable room with a beautiful and unique view of the fjord! The room was very cosy. We stayed here 3 days due to bad weather which prevented us from leaving (our booking was for one night only) and Maggy was lovely with us!!! Every day she came by to ask if we needed anything and provided us with coffee and chocolate. She kept us updated on the road situation and gave us advice on where to eat and what to do. I highly recommend everyone to stay are here!!! Thanks again Maggy!!!

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location...
This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.

A small town of the beaten path that is just lovely.
A small town of the beaten path that is just lovely. Our only problem is that we didn't have enough time to explore the town and surrounding area. We would have added a second night if we had the chance to do it again.
We actually have stayed in this hotel on a day after the original booking date. However, this hotel is willing to cancel the booking without charge. After the windstorm is over, we finally decided to move the check in date a day after with the consensus from the hotel.
Other things that we like are the friendly staffs and the dinner is quite good.
We've stayed in the Bank Inn instead. It is clearly a recent renovated building with old traditional decors but modern bathroom features.
We decided to make the 20 minute drive off the road ring and stay here for one night and we weren’t disappointed. The drive was beautiful and the town is picturesque and charming. The property has one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs (one with a queen and one with two twin beds). The kitchen is simple but fills all basic needs. The laundry is shared and not a big washing machine but I was able to wash 8 items or so. Iceland is so beautiful. Enjoy!
The hostess, Kristin, was so lovely--warm and welcoming! These are the apartments that she grew up in with her family and grandparents so they are very dear to her. It was wonderful to be able to spread out after many nights in hotels. We were able to make dinner and do laundry. The bathroom and kitchen are nicely renovated. The beds were so comfy. I felt like I was staying at a friend's apartment. And Seyðisfjörður is so tranquil and charming.
Unique hostel in historic hospital building, decorated with charming furniture and attention to detail. Huge kitchen with all the equipment you will ever need, parking directly in front of the building. Washer & dryer available, payment based on honor system. Not cheap, but can highly recommend. Seyðisfjörður is a small but colorful harbor town.
clean and simple guesthouse, friendly staff, kitchen facilities with coffee machine that everyone loved. have laundry facilities which helped us tremendously at this point in our ring road trip. expensive but all of Iceland is expensive during the summer when we traveled.
Lovely place to stay. Everything there you would need. Veru comfortable in every way. Beds and bedding great, fab shower. Location perfect and Seyðisfjörður utterly charming. We will definitely try and book this apartment again when next in Seyðisfjörður.
Well located right in Seyðisfjörður. Our unit (white door to the left of the main entrance, no number) had a fully-stocked kitchen, which was a pleasant surprise. We cooked both dinner and breakfast. Quiet when we were there (October)
The location is great. The hotel itself it's clean and I'd even say romantic. The bed was comfortable. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The room had a view at the lake and mountain was amazing.
10+ for the apartment: huge, very well equipped, in a great location - the center of the beautiful town of Seyðisfjörður. A bit old fashioned but that only added to the charm of the place.
The only hostel in which we stayed during our week in Iceland (different place ea. night), but by far the very nicest place (and value) among all of accommodations across the country.
The receptionist was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The location is close to everything, but every hotel in Seydisfjordur is close to everything, since the town is small.
