We loved the whole place! The appartement was beautiful, clean and designed with love. And it was calm! I can't remember that I ever have slept as good as at Frostastaðir (part of that were of course the very cozy beds!). Highly recommend this place!

We were given a room on the third floor, thankfully there was a lift. The room was spacious, bed was comfy.

Very cozy and clean house. Iris was very friendly and helpful. There are also horses on the farm, and it is possible to ride them.
Syðra-Skörðugil Guesthouse is perfectly located in the heart of Skagafjörður, only 5 km from nearest city Varmahlíð. The house features 5 spacious bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms are shared among the rooms....
We stayed not in Hofstadir. And that is the problem.
We stayed not in Hofstadir. And that is the problem. They have a dependance building like 750 mtr away from Hofstadir. Its like staying with the family with grandma overseeing your actions (really, she does).
So be sure to book Hofstadir and not farmhouse. The family is very friendly and helpfull and the Hofstadir (not farmhouse) looks very nice with view over the fjord..
