My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing.
My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

Great night life.
Great night life. Amazingly friendly atmosphere, The Ibetha of South Yorkshire.
A nice Market, plenty of shops. Good Taxi Service. Excellent Rail Connection. Love it!!
The Red Lion (Weatherspoons) in the Market Square is excellent !!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very charming with characterful period rooms and well maintained. I love the bar area with views through the massive Georgian windows onto the rolling golf course. The beds are very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Our 7 and 9 year old sons love the comfy beds and really enjoyed the children's menu in the restaurant.
Location was ideally suited to visitors of the Wildlife Park and we got a train to Doncaster and an Uber to the hotel.
We travelled as a family including my (adult) son who has autism and complex needs. All staff from reception, dining facilities and the park itself were immediately aware of my sons needs without explanation and couldn't have been more helpful or understanding.
Remarkably better than I expected for the price.
Well located with plenty of dining options so the lack of these in the hotel was okay.
Room was very basic but clean, and that's all you want for the money. Probably does attract the wrong crowd borne out by the late night car horn blaring outside. Overall didn't bother me and I would stay again
The hotel is amazing the decor is so
unusual & lovely , The Restaurant was spectacular , the service was so quick & friendly staff , the food was delicious & the breakfast food was lovely & staff so friendly
The place is spotlessly clean & the beds comfy . If ever in Doncaster again will stay here for sure .
I liked the style of the hotel outside gave me feeling of a vintage style like the Jeeves and Wooster vibe the furniture carried on into the reception with the seating area dinning room and bar had the same vibe to was looking forward to seeing my room by this point
Clean accommodation with everything working. I deliberately chose this location because I wanted a comfortable chair for reading, and you just don't get these in the chain hotels. In the sense of the location feeling more like home it met by expectations.
It was easily accessible to the town centre, with lots of shops local to it. The hotel is also round the corner from Silver Street which is great on a weekend with lots of clubs, pubs and bars. 5 minute walk from the train station and bus links!
Pleasant stay generally. Staying on a Wednesday in November so streets outside were quiet but I'm guessing would be pretty noisy at the weekend. Only to be expected for a city centre hotel. Good location for theatre i was going to.
In a lovely quiet location, close to some lovely walks in the evening. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The food at the lodge restaurant was excellent as was the service. Breakfast was good, easy and convenient.
The room was very nice and clean and the bathroom was great! Lovely shower! The hotel was easy to find and the staff were helpful. And you could get breakfast easily and for a good price downstairs in the Wetherspoons.
Everything, especially the kitchen which was well stocked with all the basics. That's so generous of the hosts.
This is probably the best place to stay when in Doncaster. Better than any hotel accommodation.
With my job i don't have time to stop for the breakfast unfortunately, but the hotel always kindly put a pack up for me, which is great, and keeps me going until lunch break, always appreciated.
The bedroom area of the hotel was quiet, and the location was good, close to bus stops and about a 10 minute bus ride away from the town centre. The cooked breakfast was excellent.
The location was excellent for Doncaster and Sheffield, the onsite pub has an excellent choice of food and is very reasonably priced.. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent.
