It was a clean room and quiet enough. There was noise from outside (ground floor) due to the businesses nearby but not bothersome if you close the window. Coffee/tea outside on each floor.

The location is in a nice area of Basel very close to the Rhein , with nice little Cafes and restaurant. ( A bit tricky to find) Only 10 min walk away to the city centre. The room itself was not very big, but high quality interiors, very comfortable bed, the bathroom was very spacious. The weather was extremely hot for beginning of September. We struggled a bit with the nights as we only had very warm down feather duvets without AC. Couldn’t open the windows because of the outdoor noise of the bar on the ground floor and the main hotel on the opposite side of the narrow road. It was a shame that we only spotted the coffee and tea facilities outside the room on the corridor when we departed.

At the meeting point of Switzerland, Germany and France, Basel is an eclectic mix of historic and modern, tranquil and vibrant. With Swiss cleanliness and efficiency thrown in for good measure.
Augusta Raurica on its outskirts houses a well-preserved Roman theatre, while the Old Town is a museum of medieval buildings. The Renaissance Town Hall looks down on Marktplatz’s daily market, while the red sandstone and colourful tiles of the Münster were reconstructed in the 19th century. Bringing it right up to date are the modern creations of city residents Herzog & De Meuron, designers of London’s Tate Modern.
When you’ve finished exploring this architectural heritage, there are still plenty of things to do in Basel. The city’s fine art museum is the world’s oldest art collection, and the zoo is the oldest and largest in Switzerland. Remember to bring plenty of Swiss francs for the shopping mile along Clarastrasse and Freiestrasse.
The Basel accommodation on Booking.com ranges from hotels in Grossbasel to B&Bs in Kleinbasel, home to the nightlife. If you’re flying into Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport in February or March you might just catch Fasnacht: Switzerland’s biggest carnival. You’ll have to get up early to see it start though - 4am!

Basel was much nicer than I had anticipated!
Basel was much nicer than I had anticipated! I usually go to Luzern and Zurich while traveling by train; making them brief stops of two or three days. This time I stopped in Basel and I was delighted with this wonderful city! I can’t wait to return and plan on staying a few more days to take it all in! Wonderful for shopping and dining and easy to get to on the train. Also convenient for visiting surrounding areas, making an ideal home base for longer visits in Switzerland.

We absolutely loved the zoo!
We absolutely loved the zoo! Quite small but the layout was deceptive so that it seemed much larger. The animals appeared well cared for and the enclosures were spacious with attention to enriching the environment for them, while at the same time allowing the visitors to get very close to them. In a very expensive country the entrance fee was very reasonable and half price with the Basel card.
The university botanical garden was also a little gem with a collection of unusual plants beautifully displayed and free to visit.
Basel itself an attractive city with a good feel about it. Don’t miss the quirky fountains near the theatre in the centre of town. Everything is very expensive for a British visitor which applies to Switzerland in general.

Perfect for a city break and good connection even to travel to other cities nationally and internationally as Basel is sandwhiched between France and Germany so, up to you where your heart will lead you for a day trip towards those countries.
Peaceful and efficient. Trasport good, people chilled.
Be ready to bring some money if you need to stay longer.

Basel is magical, I really enjoyed visiting it.
Basel is magical, I really enjoyed visiting it. The old town is so so nice. It's also very well connected to other places like Reigoldswil for the waterfall or to Augusta Raurica which I recommend.

Lovely city, but very expensive!
Lovely city, but very expensive! Mind you that most kitchens close at 21h and don't accept customers well in advance, as well as lots of places are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Go for all the beauty of the city, but bring the big wallet and plan to eat out early if you don't rent a place with a kichen and cook yourself. Don't bother to stay on a Monday, and consider to leave early on a Sunday, those two days are very, very quiet in Basel!
I have spent 2 nights in the property. The boy on the reception has been polite give me without deposit Switzerland electricity connector for my stay. You have 2 common rooms downstairs and the rest are upstairs , where there is kitchen area, toilets and bathrooms. Next to the property there is a bus stop for number 15 which can bring you to old center, otherwise it is not so close. Railway station is around 1 km from the property but you have more walking to old center. Lockers don't need coins you have a key for them.
Wonderful old hotel in old town Basel, convenient walking distance to many sites. Had a great bar/cafe and two wonderful restaurants. Its right on one of the tram lines, so just walk out your door and you are connected to the clean and efficient swiss public mass transit system. The hotel is a great place to hang out for a day or two as well, and depending on your language skills, there's entertainment that occurs at the hotel.
I stayed there the first night and last night of my holiday in Switzerland. On the first night I asked for some extra pillows as I sleep sitting up, and also for a seat and/or rubber mat for the shower as i am elderly and scared of slipping. I was impressed to find when I arrived two weeks later, that the receptionist had remembered what i had requested before and they were already in my room.
The hotel location is excellent. We took bus #50 from the airport to the train station. The hotel is a short walk from the bus stop. It was a leisure walk to the old town. There were a lot of places to get food in the train station or the Markthalle nearby.
The breakfast was very good. A good selection of food and freshly made coffee. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
This was our best hotel stay in our trip to Italy & Switzerland. The Apartment was very clean, we loved the room set up, perfect for a couple. The kitchen was very nice. The apartment was a few minute walk to the Basel train and main Tram station. The staff was helpful. We are looking forward to staying in other Vision Apartments on future trips.
This hotel is easily accessible as it's close to bus and tram stops (only 10-15 mins from the main SBB Basel station on Tram 11), and a 5-10 min walk to the city centre (Rathaus etc.) and a couple of minutes walk to the Rhine.
Room was decent, big shower and the staff were helpful.
Not too expensive for Switzerland.
excellent location: surrounded by beautiful buildings and tram stop just outside hotel. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Staff were efficient and helpful. Sebastian at front desk was very helpful and exceptionally friendly - this helped to make my first trip to Switzerland memorable.
The location of the hotel across the street from the main train station was great and made it easy to get around the city. The room was very large for Europe and comfortable. The staff were personable and very helpful. The bistro/cafe was great to get a coffee and croissant in the morning.
Wonderful location right near Old Town and next to the Spalentor Gate, one of the remaining original gates of Old Town Basel. The bus stop was in front of the Hotel. The rooms were spacious and front desk check in was friendly and helpful.
Right in the center of the city, next to restaurants, supermarket and sights. Lovely and warm room despite the cold temperatures, fully equipped as the hosts had thought of everything you may need. Reasonable price for Switzerland.
Very happy , friendly staff. Customer service the best I have experienced in Switzerland, clearly the staff really enjoy their jobs , I really enjoyed my stay
