Lesley the manager was the most helpful person and went above and beyond for us. We stayed there with our three kids whilst our partners completed Ironman. It was the perfect location to cheer them on. Thanks Lesley for your kindness!

Location was awesome, balcony on the front was the highlight. Room was a good size with the balcony included. Spot was quiet and the restaurant and milk bar downstairs are awesome

Clean town, good beach, plenty of restaurants and a very good bowls club for dinner, remember to take id. Stopped overnight going and returning from Victoria/ Queensland. There are some good motels just back from the beach.

Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Pros
- The beaches would be among the best in the world.
- Greenery
- Nature attractions/urban wildlife
- Improvements on waterfront world class
- Beach walkway from Town to Lighthouse beach amazing.
Cons
- Roads are simply appalling in many places, just pothole covers holding hands and a should be a real embarrassment to local council, though looks in places they have started fixing the problem
- High elderly and low socio-economic population, kind of depressing local population
- Population/development explosion, high rents and tariffs
- Lots of hoons and bogans, exercise vigilance late at night
- Increasingly visible homeless problem
- Town is over promoted and exploited, certainly not a place to "get away from it all" anymore, its got plenty of what you came to escape, best to come outside of public and school holidays, always some pesky "festival" or event going on blocking roads and causing chaos
- Not a quaint fishing/holiday destination anymore
- If you strike a "Red Weed" season on your holiday, any beach-river activities are ruined.
-Service in most establishments is terrible

Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant.
Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant. The comfiest bed 🫠 you could ask for and walking distance to river, beach, restaurants and shopping centre. Given Free coffees upon book in for breakfast was a lovely bonus. 😊
Only disappointment was upgraded to balcony for the treat of the view of the river as shown in picture. We had a view of a car park. 😟

The Bowling Club was located at the back of the apartment building and only a short stroll away. Perfect place for dinner. Also love the restaurant at Westport for dinner. We have been there numerous times and never disappointed.
We have stayed in PM numerous times and always love coming back. Great accommodation, walks, beach and cafes. The Sea Acres Rainforest is definitely worth a visit and the food at the Cafe is lovely.

Nice Getaway.
Nice Getaway.
You can do Jet Ski at $240 per hour, and can swap drivers.
Sea Plane ride was good, but not comfortable.
Book a day in advance else you have to come back next day.
One thing is food is expensive in the place.

Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/...
Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/ estuary views. Great beaches and walks up to the lighthouse at Tacking Point. Must-do staging point if travelling by car between Brisbane and Sydney. Glad we stayed 2 nights rather than 1.
They don't accept pets, but when I informed Paul(staff) that my dog was an assistants dog he was very accomadating. He even unlocked the back gate so that I had a grassed area to toilet Vader( cleaned up afterwards 😁).
I had two rooms over two nights both were great, clean, comfortable and in very good condition. When I'm back in Port Macquarie I will not hesitate use this hotel again, they have found a life customer in me. Thank you Paul 😎
The welcome at reception was like I was family. Smiles and time to take me to my room and assist in any way. 5 star hotels need to know cold formality is not what service is about. The room and bathroom were spotless and basically brand new. Unexpected value for money. It's in a quiet street close to the CBD. They say no frills or such on a sign as you drive in, but it has all the frills a passing traveller needs..
This motel was exceptionally clean, but it was also very pretty. The room was well decorated and the grounds were really well kept with a cute BBQ area and sitting area. Very quiet so we had a restful sleep. We went into Port Macquarie for dinner, but we went back into town in the morning to walk along the waterfront before heading North. Port Macquarie is a very pretty and friendly town.
We were expecting a great cabin right down near the water, instead we were put in the cabin the furthest away from anything and anyone. We had very minimal views. cleanliness was good, I had to make up my own single bed. The shower created a river out the door unless you stayed in 1 spot. We focused on trying to still have a great time catching up with friends around the Port Macquarie.
What is now becoming our overnight stop when we head up to the Gold Coast, this is perfect.
A quiet location, staff friendly as always, the rooms are spotlessly clean as always.
Beds are comfy and shower very good.
A 15minute walk to the waterfront and food in the Port Macquarie Hotel highly recommended.
Great hotel in the heart of Port Macquarie for those who prioritise being outside in the cafes, by the river and browsing the shops. Walking distance to almost everything. The staff were very polite and helpful, accommodating my request for a particular floor to make the most of the water view.
The room was exceptionally clean and looked like it had been refurbished, new tiles, vanity, wardrobe etc. I was pleasantly surprised as it was the first one I looked at and chose it because it was cheap and i only needed to stay one night. Very close to everything in Port Mac
Excellent location and the hotel has recently ( past 2 to 3 years) been refurbished in an understated contemporary style. The staff in the Boathouse restaurant are excellent and the food is 5 star!
It's very well located, within minutes' walk of Port Macquarie waterside with cafes, restaurants etc. We only stayed overnight so the room was fine with a small bar fridge and everything we needed.
Hotel was cheap and clean. The price was value for money. Was a little bit musty smelling I think that was just because of the humidity though. Very quiet location, air-conditioning was good.
Tucked away down a quiet residential street, yet just a few metres from the river, the Narimba Motel is a quiet alternative to all the other hotels in the busy centre of Port Macquarie.
Awesome location! property maintained very well. Apartments are large enough and clean. Pools are heated and cleaned everyday. Staff is friendly. Overall very good experience.
