An amazing dog friendly hotel. First time I had taken my little dog to a hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the way it all went. You can even bring them to breakfast in the conservatory where he was well behaved. Booked the executive room which was lovely spacious with a huge bathroom with bath and shower . Amazing views of Eastbourne and the pier. One small issue with a window that didn’t open fully and furniture looking a little tired but that is just me obsessed with 5 star rooms being spot on. Overall the staff were really lovely went above and beyond to make you comfortable even the lovely cleaning lady who worked really hard. A wonderful weekend spent with my mum and a bonus in that I could take my little man Zeus with me will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely curry near old town and great food in the crown and Anchor. Not forgeting the Bandstand where we saw a fantastic Motown band. Always good acts on there and two bars.!. Everything! The location was brilliant. Stones throw from the beach (lifeguard area too) was a pleasant surprise. My from was spotless. Lovely bath and the beds were soooooo comfortable. One of the best nights sleep in a hotel in ages ! Perfect stock of tea and biscuits:) and was happy to see a lift !great value and staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Deep in particular was absolutely brilliant . Restaurants and a shop on next street. And a 5 min walk into the centre. Will definitely return when in eastbourne again. Thank you :)
The guy who dealt with us could not have been nicer,he was welcoming, informative and very polite. The hotel is charming and in a great location right at the seafront and just a few minutes walk to the shops and train station. We had full English breakfast which was lovely and good value. The room we stayed in was small but satisfactory for a couple of nights stay ,if I was staying longer I would book a larger room . Ample tea, coffee toiletries etc, hairdryer, iron and fan .Comfortable open seating areas on the ground floor and a small bar.
Room was a small double with sea view - excellent.
Hotel well laid out with many comfortable common areas for relaxing.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel - both meals were excellent, good varied menu for dinner, food well prepared and cooked, generous portion sizes, excellent service, superb staff
We attended an event at the Congress Theatre, hence our visit. The hotel is superbly located for the two main Eastbourne theatres, the Towner Gallery, Eastbourne Tennis week and the sea front
The ONLY reason I continued to stay at this hotel after I found bed bugs in my room was because the staff are superb!! I can't fault their helpfulness, friendliness and willingness to put themselves out to help. They really deserve better.
Other plus points: The is location perfect - right on the seafront, and an easy walk to the town centre (even with my walking frame). I also had brilliant sea views. To be fair, the beds were comfortable - despite the bed bugs!
excellent location right on the seafront, had a single room with a balcony with sea view which was great. Had bath sheets in the bathroom which was a lovely bonus. Breakfast was great, table service served without being rushed such a nice change from a buffet. Room clean and staff very polite, a housekeeper commented to me without being prompted "it is a lovely place to work" A great ambiance to the hotel. A lovely stay
What can I say? I've stayed in Eastbourne many times but never found Gyves Guesthouse until now - what a find!
Everything went well, lovely hosts, lovely room, excellent facilities, fabulous breakfast including a gluten free option which made me very happy. Home made bread, home grown vegetables, all delicious.
Just off the seafront and a short walk to everything - pier, town centre, wish tower, art gallery....
Great location! Just next to beach. Free parkings on Sat,Sun after 6pm just around. Perfect location to get and enjoy seven sisters walk and Eastbourne.
Very good breakfast. If you not too posh you will get all what you need in this hotel for a great price.

Thanks very much!
Couple from Poland.
A very nice hotel with a great staff. When we arrived I told my name and was given a package with our key, WiFi password and breakfast information immediately, everything was ready. The staff helped us bring our bicycles to a storage room where they were locked overnight.
Dinner was excellent! The wait staff were very nice.
The photographs in the bar area are worth a visit alone.
Very friendly and helpful staff; really a credit to the hotel. Renovated, clean, warm room with modern TV and Netflix etc. Good coffee and tea facilities in the room. Nice bar area. Great seafront view. Useful lift. On street parking all around the hotel.
This renovated hotel provides a good alternative to the usual other ones in the area. Some of which are really past their best.
This is a lovely guesthouse in Eastbourne. It is walking distance to restaurants and cafes. The room is very quiet and the bed is very comfortable. My host provided helpful information about the area, including a hike along the Seven Sisters. They offer a number of breakfast choices. I went with the full English breakfast, which was delicious and very filling.
The breakfast was extremely good with loads of choice in every department (the breakfast was continental). The Hotel was very well situated being just off the seafront with sea views. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and one was made to feel very welcome.
Excellent location on seafront and near to town centre. Hotel has its own private car park. Bar staff were superb and very friendly. Drinks were a reasonable price. Considering this was the first week it reopened after long lockdown, hotel operated very efficiently
The location is perfect! Rooms are clean. Staffs are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. It was one of the best places we stayed so far. We did not stay in a room with sea view, but you can definitely consider a room with view. The view of hotel is remarkable!
Excellent stay, highly recommend. Exceeded expectations. Great location near seafront, town centre & a great selection of restaurants /spotless and modern hotel/great breakfast/ outdoor seating area, very friendly and hospitable hosts, we will be returning.
Friendly responsive staff took really good care of us, really went the extra mile to help. Excellent breakfasts, great location on the beach and easy walk to local attractions/restaurants. Relaxed vibe at the hotel, not over faced with rules, no hassles.
The hotel is in the perfect location, right across from the scenic boardwalk and pier in Eastbourne. Around the corner is the pedestrian walking zone, chock full of restaurants and shops. Even the train station is only about a 7-10 minute walk away.
Wi Fi is free and a good signal-Some more expensive Hotels in the area have rubbish Wi Fi.
Regents Wi Fi had a good strong signal
