I lived there for seven years and I miss it. If you have not been go there. It has everything you need in a town. All shops are accessible by walking. It has a very good nightlife and you will not be stuck to find a good restaurant. The people there are very friendly. Fantastic beaches within a short drive. The problem when I go there I spend too much lol.

Friendly people ,lots of shops with character and individuality! Could do with more gastro pubs without spoiling the charm of this lovely town! Lots of things to do and see in Wexford especially in Gorey where there is a lovely town and lots of estates sites to visits seeped in history/ culture etc! Wexford is easy to get around on foot and by car! Loved Enniscorthy Castle well worth a visit! The seal sanctuary in Courtown is also well worth a visit!

We went to Wexford for the annual Opera Festival. The Opera House is delightful. Wexford itself is a vibrant place with lots of independent shops and restaurants and an interesting history dating back to Viking times. Of particular note was a restaurant called Jaspers (booking essential) in the Crown Quarter.
Lots of parking facilities and a compact town so easy to walk round.

Wexford is a beautiful harbour town with a great mix of shops. Lots of bars, which have plenty of live music each night, including 'Trad Nights' with traditional Irish music, also lots of eateries, sights to see, art galleries and a National Opera House. The twin churches are very pretty, make for a beautiful photograph from a distance and are both worth a look inside to make comparisons. It's only a short walk between the two. The short drive over Wexford Bridge towards Ferrybank takes you to the beach where the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan was filmed and in the other direction towards Rosslare, if you drive past Kelly's resort Hotel and keep on going and going along the little peninsula, there is a very interesting Lifeboat Memorial to be seen which looks over towards Wexford itself.

Wexford was just a stopover for us on the way to other places. We arrived at night and left in the morning. I think a day or two would have been good to explore, but we simply didn’t have time this trip.

This is our second time in wexford and unfortunately everytime we have been there it was raining heavily.
The buildings look dreary in bad weather. People we met were very friendly and helpful and we liked that its a walkable town.
The Faythe Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay in Wexford. The room was small but big enough to be comfortable and the library provides a nice place to sit and read outside of the room. The owners are hospitable and pleasant to talk with. The gardens are beautiful with a broad variety of plants, especially shrubs. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The central historic part of Wexford is a 5 minute walk and a large grocery store is a 5 minute walk away in the opposite direction direction. Wonderful 3 days in Wexford.
I liked how close the property was to the National Opera House as this was the reason for our visit to Wexford. The shops were close by on the high street which was conveniently in walking distance also. We did not use any of the apartment kitchen facilities as we were only staying one night and did not require to cook etc. We had breakfast at the Talbot Hotel just down the block which was very good. Free secure parking was a welcome convenience. The rooms were clean and nicely laid out.
Everything about this hotel is convenience and relaxation. Travelling with kids meant eating out is not much of an option, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel, great variety and quality of food for all of us. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which was out intention, and the facilities are great. lovely to walk straight out of the hotel and be in the centre of Wexford, location is second to none. In all a very relaxing weekend where everything worked and everyone was happy
Killane castle exceeded all of our expectations it is a good as any blue book house if not better ! From the snug with tea coffee and homemade cookies and biscuits to the dining room where you can have a glass of wine ! The breakfast selection is more like something from a 5 star hotel fresh fruits from the garden their own organic yogurt, fresh scones with their own jam and marmalade and a menu with amazing breakfast choices would highly recommend and will definitely go back
I had to book a suite as it was all that was available. It was very large and beautiful with great views.
The hotel is on a beautiful river and is walking distance to the Heritage Center where we spent a fun morning.
I was forced to used the swimming pool by my grand-daughter. I must say it is a great pool with exceptionally lovely views.
Breakfast was good.
All staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, Ferrycarrig is very nice hotel in a beautiful location.
Friendly staff, warm welcome, huge room, spacious bathroom (with bath),comfortable bed, substantial breakfast menu, lovely food, plenty of tea\coffee making facilities , quiet surroundings in a great location close to local attractions, beaches and The Hook Lighthouse. Easy access to the ferry if you wish to visit neighbouring Waterford and only 30 mins from the shops, sights and sounds of Wexford town.
The hotel was perfect. The staff were so nice!! The lady on reception was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. I also left something in the room and had to go back. The manager was so helpful and a lovely man to deal with. I will definitely stay again, perfect for a nice night out in Wexford.
Also, the Riverbank is fantastic for food and a lovely warm and welcoming bar.
Convenient room about a pub, 15 minutes' walk to central Wexford and opera house. Not bad value for a room during festival time. Friendly staff who helped me find a taxi to reach Rosslare Harbour in time for an early ferry back to the UK. The hotel also owns aseful cafe serving breakfast and lunch next door, with pleasant outdoor seating area.
The hotel was perfectly located on the water front in Wexford and ideal for exploring the town. The rooms are well done and the beds were comfy. Also, we had a meal in the bar and it was reasonably priced with great service and good quality. Good value for money and the staff were really friendly. Great view from the room.
Super staff and really cool hotel with very contemporary decor...loved that there was no single use plastic in the rooms and there was a water refill point outside the bedroom door. Wexford town is really buzzing, a great atmosphere and perfect central location
I travel a lot to Wexford but this was my first time staying here. It was good value for money, the room was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful. While not located in the town centre, it provides a good base for the region, which was what i needed.
Its very easy to say great things about a Hotel when in fact its not true. But thankfully i can say Whitford Hotel is the best in ireland. From staff to food, rooms and swimming saunas etc it gets a 10 every time we stay..Try it and you
Will say the same..
Good location. Wexford is a beautiful town. Hotel was centerly located outside the town. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with hot food. Also fruit and crossaints. Great coffee. Rooms were clean warm and spacious. Pool was lovely.
The location of the hotel is lovely, with great views over the estuary and only a short drive to Wexford town. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
A very comfortable friendly hotel with big bedrooms.
Bar food was good and well priced, a good busy atmosphere
Breakfast selection was good
Plenty of free parking
Easy to get to / from as located close to Wexford by-pass
Lovely small hotel at the edge of Wexford town. Food good in the restaurant with breakfast freshly cooked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good parking facilities. Rooms spacious and very clean.
Nothing to like Newbay House cancelled my reservation the day before we were to arrive and gave us a complimentary stay in their sister hotel in wexford, which was a disaster!!!
