Restaurant food and food at wedding we attended was gorgeous. Family room had two separate bedrooms which was great. Swimming pool nice and extra kids play area downstairs kept the kids entertained.

Sligo itself was ok but to be honest we stayed because it was central to the area we wanted to explore. If you go to Sligo don’t miss Glencar Waterfall and the Devils Chimney. Also Achill island make sure you follow the coast

I judge a place by its people, and to me they make you feel very welcome. Myself &the Mrs go to Sligo Town, at least six times a year for 2/ 3 days at a time. Its home from home, great food , great bars, Trad music, and great to relax. Love Sligo

All the shops are in close proximity.

Beautiful scenery, friendly people and lots of interesting places to visit. Thomas Connolly Pub outstanding, live music and a great pint of the Black stuff. Eala Bhan restaurant outstanding, magnificent menu, superb staff, would travel to Sligo again just to eat there. We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste. The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting . The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.

The rooms were modern, the shower was glorious, the staff at reception, restaurant & bar and room service were super polite and kind. Everything was very clean and I even loved the pine/woody scent in the room I was about to ask what products they use to use them at home. Enjoyed also the terrace over the river at the Ripples café. The house was cosy and warm (once we were shown how to turn the heating on). The duvets were good quality and the beds were comfy. It's a really good, central, spot for getting into Sligo town or for touring around the countryside.

The team on reception were the best, they were very welcoming. The hotel itself is quite modern and the room we stayed in had a lot of space and great views. It's close enough to get to town by taxi or to go out towards Rosses point.
